Teenj is right about what I meant. They are making it animated because my post said they are trying to reignite Paramount's animation department with more animated movies based off Nick shows. Sensing a pattern with those names... Hell's Kitchen received a 2.5 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.27 million viewers, while Masterchef scored a 2.6 rating and 6.52 million viewers. Both shows have already been renewed for another season, as has Ramsay's newest show on the network, Hotel Hell. NBC's The Voice premiered last night to a 4.2 rating in adults 18-49 and 12.28 million viewers. The show will be on tonight and tomorrow night as well, on Wednesday competing with the season premiere of FOX's The X Factor. Should be interesting to see which wins the night! A special sneak peek of The New Normal followed The Voice, with a 2.5 rating and 6.88 million viewers. Aidy Bryant, Tim Robinson, and Cecily Strong (pictured above) will be joining Saturday Night Live this season, which premieres this week, on Saturday (obviously). The three Chicago-based comedians will fill the spots left by former SNL cast members Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg, and Abby Elliot. MTV has renewed Ridiculousness for a third season. "Yay," said no one. The Netflix-exclusive return of Arrested Development will feature Mae Whitman and Liza Minnelli, reprising their roles of Ann and Lucille 2, respectively. The entire first seasons of ABC's Once Upon A Time and Revenge have been added to Netflix, meaning you should watch them and catch up before the new seasons, obviously. Randy Jackson has squirmed his way back into American Idol. When negotiations with Enrique Iglesias fell apart, Jackson found his was back to the judges' table. Clappy Posted September 23, 2012 Share Posted September 23, 2012 It's been awhile hasn't it? -Former SNL member Jenny Slate (aka the one who dropped a F bomb and got fired a few months later) is now in charge of rebooting the Looney Tunes live action/CGI hybrid franchise. For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past twenty years, the Looney Tunes have had two of these films: Space Jam and Looney Tunes: Back in Action. Warner Brothers is currently aiming for a 2014 release date. -James Gunn has signed on to direct Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. For those of you who haven't seen James Gunn's web series PG Porn, it's absolutely hilarious. Heck Nathan Fillon has even guest starred in it. But yeah, regardless, this is definitely not who I expected to direct a Marvel superhero team movie. -Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are reuniting for a film that is exactly what it sounds like: Race to the South Pole. No word yet on if either are going to act, but both are expected to write and produce this film. -Tom Rothman has stepped down as CEO of 20th Century Fox. Rothman has come under much criticism over the past couple years due to focusing more on mindless popcorn flicks, sequels, and remakes rather than supporting original material for the studio. -Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and half of Big Time Rush have all signed on to star in an independent animated musical called The Great Migration. The company CMI Entertainment is looking at Nickelodeon and Disney for more child stars for this movie, so expect the cast of Shake It Up to be signed on as animated back up dancers. -So the guys who wrote Reno 911 are writing the Baywatch movie. Now it's only fitting to have David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson star in the next Reno movie. -Short lived 1980s NBC series Manimal is becoming a movie. It was a detective show about a character who was half man, half animal. I sure hope Sarah Jessica "Horseface" Parker signs on to be the romantic love interest. -Walt Disney Pictures is remaking The Flamingo Kid with a director who has filmed music videos for 50 Cent. I actually enjoyed Space Jam & Looney Tunes: Back in Action but i do remember i heard LT: BIA had bad reviews or something, was that really bad i mean i don't think it wasn't bad. Even though Universal Pictures dropped them like it's hot after the failure of Battleship, Hasbro has found a new sucker to make movie adaptations of their toys in the same studio that made the remake of The Wicker Man (Emmet/Furla productions). They signed a three toy-movie deal. The first being a film based off the game Monopoly which may or may not still involve Ridley Scott. The second is based off of Action Man, who is pretty much a British version of G.I. Joe. And finally, an animated version of the game Hungry Hungry Hippos. Not even my snark deserves to make fun of how bad these ideas are. -Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has replaced one rising director (Rupert Wyatt) with another (Cloverfield/Let Me In's director Matt Reeves). -So yeah, Little House on the Prairie is getting a film adaptation. Another classic television show to screw up. This time involving the director of Pineapple Express. -Meryl Streep is going to do another musical. This time it's "Into the Woods". For the sake of my ear drums, please make this better than Mamma Mia. -Moby Dick in outer space? Yes this is actually happening...somewhat. The movie is called Mobius and it is set to involve a space captain fighting a mysterious alien of great growth and power. This has the potential to be massively silly. -Sacha Baren Cohen is set to do another SBC (hehe SBC) film called The Lesbian. He is aware that he is a male...right? -Steven Spielberg's 2014 summer blockbuster (Robopocalypse) has found its two stars: Chris Hemsworth and Anne Hathaway. -A female version of The Expendables has definitely been picked up as they found its' first star in MMA fighter turned actress Gina Carano. All I'm asking is for Sigourney Weaver to be involved and they'll have my money. -A prequel to The Passion of the Christ is underway with Mary Mother of Christ. Mel Gibson would direct....if it wasn't for his thoughts on the Jews... Now for the other news. Our King Jjs PM'd me this earlier this week and I told him I would do it in my next edition of this. Where have I heard that before? Oh yes, that's the EXACT plot of a Futurama episode (it's even called "Möbius Dick"!) I mean, it was a great episode and I suppose it could fit into a movie format but come on, they could have at least changed the plot slightly...
