Not to burst your bubbles, but the only thing confirmed so far is late 2014, and the late part could change unexpectedly.

I had another dream about this movie though, and time is torturing me. WHERE ARE YOU 2014?!?!

Mike Mitchell is confirmed to be directing the live action sequences for the new movie. For those who don't know, he directed the live action sequences from 2005-2007 (Friend Or Foe, Atlantis Squarepantis, etc).

More here: http://www.filmthrasher.com/2013/05/the-news-bundle-spongebob-squarepants.html

Thanks to DadMom AngryPants of SBM for the info.

Now we know there'll be live action sequences, so that's cool.

Some small new info:

It is briefly mentioned under the "Paramount presentation" section, and it seems to confirm the movie will be in 3D. This was actually slightly mentioned a few months ago, but here's some confirmation.

It was probably a given this would be in 3D because 3D is the norm now. :P

In some other news I just discovered, former crew member Robertryan Cory (who was a character designer from Seasons 4 - 7) will be doing some character models for this film, as confirmed on his Facebook. To avoid another conflict like last year, unnecessary mean comments won't be tolerated - you can have your opinion, but keep it civil.

*Robertryan Cory pops in* I'LL GET YOU CRAZY KIDS!

So if it's in 3D does it mean they're going to use 3D animation? Because I don't like SpongeBob with that kind of animation or a 3D movie with classic 2D animation.

It means 3D with the glasses, not CGI I believe.
