SBC's Top 50 Best Episodes Ever! (20 Year Anniversary Edition!)

I Had an Accident: As much as I like the jokes like the gorilla suit, this doesn't really stand out of much as some of the others season 3 eps, I still like it, but I just think there's way more episodes deserving of top 50 than this.

Mid-Life Crustacean: I love this episode, like One Krabs Trash, the atmosphere at the start is great & all the jokes are hilarious throughout the whole thing.

I Had An Accident: This one isn't one of my favorites, but it does have its funny moments and I still enjoy watching it.

Mid-Life Crustacean: This is one episode I really enjoy for a lot of its funny quotes and moments such as the panty raid scene.

I Had an Accident: Amazing episode, made it on my list at #11, and I’m very glad it made it this year. It’s hilarious, and the ending is really godly.

Mid-Life Crustacean: Great episode, but just like Plankton’s Army, it’s not really deserving of top 50 for me.

The Frycook Games: Didn't make my list but I'm pretty sure I'd be adding it in the top 50 and it certainly belongs here, the plot just works so well with a ton of quotable moments.

Rock-a-Bye-Bivalve: Was an episode I used to really not like from pre-movie in the past that I've come to appreciate a lot as of late, the ''OVERTIME!!!!!'' gets me every time, great episode.

Fry Cook Games: Ehhhhh, not quite an episode I honestly think much of. It's just sort of there, in my eyes.

Rock-a-Bye Bivalve: An episode that probably could have made my list, but didn't. To some degree, I do consider it to be quite clever and a fun watch. And yeah, the last line is honestly pure gold.

The Fry Cook Games is such an incredible piece that deserves to be on the list. I don't have it on my top 25 but it's such a fun and energetic episode with a heartwarming end.

Rock a Bye Bivalve is very funny and I'm glad it made the list but again, it's not on my list.

Haven't really been commenting much because there isn't much I have to say about the episodes that have made the list but:

Plankton's Army: A great episode with really good jokes and experimentation with side characters. 9/10

One Krabs Trash: A funny episode, but there's not much else to say. 8/10

I Had an Accident: A creative and somewhat wild episode that really gets strange near the end but overall it's enjoyable. 8/10

Mid-Life Crustacean: Good episode overall, not much else to say other than you've got to love how audacious they got with the panty raid scene. 8/10

The Fry Cook Games: Another good episode, but I feel this is one of S2's weaker outings. That being said, it's still not bad. 7/10

Rock-a-Bye Bivalve: Again, there's not much to say here but it's a great episode. 9/10

I Had An Accident - Such a great episode. Still not one on my top list, but it's so funny and straight to the point. SpongeBob's singing is superb, plus I love how overprotective he becomes. TAKE IT AWAY, PENNY!

Mid-Life Crustacean - The idea of Mr. Krabs having a mid-life crisis and trying to fix it with two idiots is a great episode idea. I might honestly put this one back on my list just because it's so great and has lots of comedic elements to it. ANY PORN IN THIS STORE-OOPS! I mean uh Not That.

The Fry Cook Games - The show's take on the Olympic Games is a great example of the themes of competition being number one, but keeping your friends closer and not losing them matters more. I agree with @jack_of_all_traids in that the episode should have focused on more events, but the events in the episode are pretty good nonetheless. It did not make my list.

Rock-a-Bye Bivalve - Watching this episode when I was younger made me hate it due to it being so odd and out of the box at the time and EW A BORING PARENTING EPISODE, but watching it now makes me enjoy it so much. SpongeBob and Patrick as parents to a baby clam is a true nightmare. Patrick needs to keep working OVERTIME (by the way that face is one of the best in the show). A great episode, but not on my list. It might make it eventually.

The Fry Cook Games: Great episode, not in my top 50 but is still great and I find it funny and like the plot and Spongebob and Patrick’s conflict, the 40s is good for it.

Rock a Bye Bivalve: Another great episode that isn’t in my top 50 but is still great enough to deserve the list still (I’ll say anything that I gave the amazing ranking is “deserving” even if its not in my top 50), it’s such an hilarious episode.

Fear of a Krabby is the first entry on this year's top 50 that has been a regular ever since the beginning of the official top 50's. After a drop-off from 33 to 47 between 2013 and 2015, Fear of a Krabby slowly rised up on it, peaking at #27 last year! For any post-movie episode, that is impressive, but unfortunately, all the traction it gained for the past several years hasn't helped it out this year. That's just how it is. With just how much more competitive this list is compared to last year, if your support doesn't grow a terrible amount with new submitters, this is what happens. I am certainly one of probably many who will lament this episode's fall, as I do enjoy this episode a lot. It didn't make my top 25, but if I ever did a top 10 post-movie episodes, it would most likely land on it. Early season 4 had an undeniable charm to it that becomes more and more apparent as any "where's Hillenburg!?" soreness weakens within the fandom, and Fear of a Krabby Patty was an excellent way to start off this new era of SpongeBob. It's an absolutely bonkers episode, more hyperactive than most of pre-movie, and it makes for something hilarious.

Ah, our first major milestone! We have surpassed the 100-point mark! This is, by a large margin, the earliest we have ever surpassed that milestone in the list's history, so congratulations to the community for being so invested in this. Unfortunately, that milestone has not saved this episode from falling, as this is actually the lowest it has ever been on the list. Just like Fear of a Krabby Patty, this is yet another regular on the list. Rather than having a somewhat stable trend like Fear of a Krabby Patty, though, Life of Crime has had a safe spot somewhere right below the halfway point of the list ever since 2013. That makes its fall all the more puzzling. This is, indeed, a very good episode, but for some reason, one that I don't have any fond nostalgia for. It takes me a while to remember the exact plot points of the episode, perhaps because I confuse it with Doing Time. Either way, this is a worthy entry onto the list, and a great episode within the realm of pre-movie.

Fear of a Krabby Patty isn't one of my personal favorites but it's definitely an excellent start to post-movie era. It's filled with tons of great gags and story is very solid.

Life of Crime is not one of my favorites as well but it's one of the funniest episodes Patrick has been included. His presence here is pure hilarity.

The Fry Cook Games: A very classic episode with so many funny and heartwarming moments.

Rock a Bye Bivalve: Another very classic episode with hilarious gags that I find myself laughing every time I watch it.

Fear of a Krabby Patty: Not one of my favorites, but a great way to start SpongeBob off after a movie and it is enjoyable.

Life Of Crime: A really great episode with a lot of funny gags between SpongeBob and Patrick.

Fear of a Krabby Patty: Definitely one of Season 4's best. I like just how off the walls it is in every way; nothing in this episode stays put, and I love the way it pulls that off. If I had remembered to submit this year, it would have made my top 25, albeit somewhat low. 9/10

Life of Crime: Another great episode. This one sets a good example of how to set a conflict between Spongebob and Patrick (take notes, Season 7) while being absurd at the same time. While it would've missed my list by a fair margin, it's still a really good episode. 9/10
