Status Updates posted by Steel Sponge
-
This is Steel Sponge. And yes, I'm questioning my sanity with my new username/avvie theme. But at the same time, I'm overjoyed that I've taken the opportunity to do this.
-
Nothing hurts me right now than to see that a Pokemon fangame that I've been anticipating to see completed has been killed off by Nintendo's lawyers. I can definitely understand why it had to happen, but still, those 8 years of development, man. R.I.P. Pokemon Prism.
-
I don't know about you
But now I'm 22, I can put this joke to use.
-
R.I.P. June Foray.
-
It'll change soon, but right now, Big Mouth has a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.
...
Now it looks like I'm gonna have watch one or more episodes to see whether or not I'm delusional for hating the show immediately after seeing the trailer.
-
Hey, it's December...and you know what that means?!??
GRANDPA'S GONNA SUE THE PANTS OFF OF SANTA- but he's also suing me because I'm doing List Season too late. However, I am celebrating this season currently as Catch-Up Month.

After watching one episode of FOP S10, I've never witnessed anything more ironic from the show than the characters telling Barry Roosevelt the Hip Hip Hedgehog "you're terrible!" (as well as "Go back to Redondo Beach!" from Timmy's dad.) when he has like only like 1 minute worth of screentime and 20 seconds of dialogue in the entire episode, and yet we're supposed to hate this one-shot character...because he's a bad rapper yet he gets interrupted by the "you're terrible!" lines. What's ironic about that is that I feel more bad about Barry Roosevelt than I do towards Chloe.
-
And just to reassure you guys...yes. Such a one-time character exists and those such moments exist as well. (The episode in question is "Chloe Rules," for those who don't know what segment I was referring to.)
I'm also making some very good progress in watching every episode of the show. I just need to watch 12 more episodes from S9 and S10 and by this week, I should be able to have watched every S10 episode.

Which one of you flatfoots is the real Loafy?
-
When Danny says "going ghost" he turns into a ghost. When he says "going cheese," does he turn into cheese?
-
tfw your signature SBC avatar comes from the same episode with a joke that shares ties to the signature username of You-Know-Who.
-
However, I joined SBC months before You-Know-Who did so I think it might be safe to say that 'Chemist Bob' was never really cursed, but alas 'Mr. Doctor Professor Patrick' is still a false prophet.
Also, because I didn't feel like making another status update just to post this, I've just recently riffed chapter 2 of SpongeBob's Host. I think I've a;ready found not only a worthy contender for one of the worst spin-offs/lits, but also the contender for the worst spin-off/lit...of all time.

when you open your christmas presents early:
list season hasn't even come yet and we already got a video like this. i'm not even surprised. also the year-end list hasn't even been published yet while billboard currently has one week left of the 2018 tracking period and by the time december comes up, expect every other music critic that isn't Spectrum Pulse, Todd in the Shadows, and Anthony Fantano to do the same early stunt.

daily reminder to all that Alpha and Omega had spawned seven sequels.
-
Congratulations, "Alpha and Omega", you are now OFFICIALLY the NEW "The Land Before Time" animated franchise, in the fact that you have spawned WAY too many direct to D.V.D. Movie releases! Although I've only seen the first two, so I'm not REALLY sure if I should be criticizing the franchise or not!
-
Say, whatever happened to Close Enough?
-
Small annoucement that this year's KCA winner for Favorite Cartoon is SpongeBob. Now you can returned to your regularly scheduled activities.
-

Triangle man hates particle man. They have a fight. Triangle man wins.
-
Universe Man, Universe Man, is as big as the universe, man. Usually kinder to smaller men. Universe Man. Person Man, Person Man, lives his life in a garbage can. Hit in the head with a frying pan. Who came up with Person Man? Triangle Man, Triangle Man. Triangle Man hates Person Man. They have a fight, Triangle Man wins. Triangle Man.

Internet articles: Why couldn't Aang just kill Ozai? The Fire Lord literally killed his entire race and therefore Aang should have every reason to kill him even if he's against the idea of it. Just taking away his bending wouldn't make much of a better difference anyway.
Also internet articles: Why would they let Superman kill Zod!!!??? Sure, he was pressured to because Zod was about to kill a group of innocent civilians, but Superman doesn't kill! Man of Steel ruined his character! -
Pointless but also mind-blowing fact: Did you know that the production work for the two most recent albums by Machine Gun Kelly, who has been constantly accused of "ripping off blink-182," are both spearheaded by Travis Barker, who is...wait for it, the drummer for blink-182?
-
I think most of them actually do but they also don't have the heart to admit that their top 5/10/20/50 drummer of all-time is a one-trick pony as a pop-punk producer, and with the general public still bludgeoning their opinion of MGK being "the worst thing ever," it makes sense that they'd just scapegoat him for even reasons that aren't logically true.

And you may find yourself in a SpongeBob forum. And you may find yourself in another part of the world. And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile. And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife. And you may ask yourself, "Well, how did I get here?"

Owl House is the Dark Souls of Disney animated shows. Owl House is like Kiki's Delivery Service fused with Beetlejuice with a hint of Little Witch Academia along with a few touches of Harry Potter, Kingdom Hearts, and Jupiter Ascending, on top of being an animated fantasy that is one part Adventure Time, two parts Gravity Falls, three parts Logan meets Shrek, five parts Steven Universe, equal parts Star Vs. the Forces of Evil, and as well as Hell's Kitchen, Seinfeld, Grand Theft Auto, and Blair Witch Project in spades, and not to mention the similarities to The Looney Tunes Show in a castle far far away where no one can hear you Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels.

Welp, I've rewatched PB&J Otter since ages ago. Looking back...the premise is great, it's not as generic as other preschool shows of today, and the Noodle dance would probably be enough to get Little Lies out of my head.
