I saw the first two episodes of the japanese dub. I saw they actually cut a few scenes out, probably for time reasons since they have extended openings and endings. Though I do like the song in the opening.

Yeah, season 4 is premiering slightly earlier than expected, on November 23 of this year.

I predicted at the end of season 2 that Luna would go nuts. I mean she like missed the whole wedding. Possibly that scene might could be something in Twilight's head like I've heard others say. I have a feeling that Apple family song is like my favorite tune from the show now.

Definitely the worst show of all times. The fact that the vast majority of fans are males in their late teens & 20s already tells enough.

That season 4 premiere. Wow. So much...wow.

That episode was jam-packed with so much flying, and and tentacles and clouds with spikes and Discord and Celestia and Luna went missing, so Twilight used a potion so she could go flying back in time in a flashback to see Nightmare Moon trying to kill Celestia, and then...CELESTIA WAS DEAD! *EPIC GASP*. But then, she wasn't dead! She blew Nightmare Moon all the way back to hell on the moon and then there was another flashback, only this time it was Discord eating something before he got stoned for the first time. And then there was another flashback explaining where the Elements of Harmony came from...FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE SERIES! *EPIC GASP*

 

They come from this tree that's in the Everfree Forest that's been corrupted so Twilight and everypony had to go flying in there and find out why there's so many tentacles and clouds, but they got attacked by the crocodile from Resident Evil 2. They beat him, but then they were all worried about Twilight so they...SENT HER AWAY?! *EPIC GASP* But then Discord told her not to take that shit so she went flying back where they all apologized and found out that the only way to save the Tree of Harmony is to...sacrifice the Elements of Harmony! *EPIC CHEER* I don't like the Elements of Harmony, HOORAY!

 

So with their noble sacrifice, Celestia and Luna were freed, they got Pandora's Box in exchange for the Elements, Twilight went flying to make her symbol in the sky to wrap everything up and they all lived happily ever after. BUT THEY DIDNTN'T! It turns out that in that flashback where Discord was stoned, it was what he was eating that caused this entire mess! Oh Discord! What a wonderful way to start season 4! HOORAY! YAY! BRAVO, FIGARO! YAY!

I really loved the backstory information. It really did feel good to see those historical events for ourselves. Loved seeing a Discord again, I'm surprised he actually didn't do anything....until he did. I even believe he helped Twilight when he convinced her to go back. It was just in his own way. Some moments were really touching as well. Really liked how it dealt with the prime reason of the show.

Also, we have a topic for this show on SBM as well, it's just not as extensive (24 pages-damn) maybe because most of the members there aren't bronies (or maybe not as much, I almost never post here, so how should I know?). 

 

Yes, I watch this show. Yes, I guess you can call me a brony (although, personally, I think the fandom can at times be really ridiculous in its reactions and there are times where I'd rather just not be associated with them ).

nobody wants to hear about your weird fetish porn. (Trust me, they don't.)

 

The Season 4 premiere was appropriately epic although kind of slow in the second half. The Celestia vs. Nightmare Moon flashback seemed like either fanservice or just a cop-out because it never really led up to anything. It did look pretty awesome and was interesting backstory, at least. By the way, I love how the animation for the show has improved, making it look truly cinematic. (If the premiere was based on that whole first flashback, I would've preferred that as the movie that we got from this show.) All the characters were good, the interactions between them looked natural, the cane's a fucking meme now, Discord returns (and he's still a complete-although not dangerous-sleazeball, which is just how I like him), HOLY SHIT EPIC BACKSTORY, Twilight is still hilariously paranoid, etc. I also liked how the ending sets us up for a possible season-long story arc, which is what I've been wanting from this show for years (or, a year, to be precise. I only started watching this show summer of last year. ). So yeah, a pretty good start to what I hope will be an excellent season.

I saw the premiere and I really liked it. I thought it was truly epic at some parts and all the flashbacks were pretty interesting. Discord was really the funnest thing about the episodes, and since he's probably gonna be sticking around, I hope he gets more episodes. I also liked how they set up a potential story arc. I can't wait to see where it leads.

I stopped watching the show after Power Ponies, which was like in December. The show just doesn't appeal to me some what because the people I knew stopped watching it too. Sometimes I'll still be in contact to fanbase, but not much at all.
