I'm Brian Kemp. I'm so conservative...I blow up government spending. I own guns. And no one's taking away. My chainsaw's ready to rip up some regulations. I got a big truck. Just in case I need to round up criminal illegals and take 'em home myself. Yup, I just said that. I'm Brian Kemp. If you want a politically incorrect conservative, that's me!

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a Christian, but you don’t need to be in the pew every Sunday to know that there’s something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can’t openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school. As president, I’ll end Obama’s war on religion and I’ll fight against liberal attacks on our religious heritage. Faith made America strong. It can make her strong again. I’m Rick Perry and I approve this message.

If I ever discover a method of time travel, I'm not sharing it with any of you.

Just started playing Revenge of the Flying Dutchman for my SB playthrough month, and honestly...it's not that bad. Although Downtown and Jellyfish Fields are annoying, I won't deny there. But I'm having fun I guess.

@Clappy I don't have it early, I was just saying that based on everything I learned from the leaks I've been reading and I think that's a fair comparison to make after everything I now know lol (although given everything I know I may as well have played the games already)
like I'm still going to get eevee just to see how it is on my own and of course the games are gonna do well money wise regardless (fuckin duh) unlike Solo but much like that quality wise, ehhh...I'm just not feeling this, but if you want a more laid back and "back to basics" approach and don't care about a lot of features being removed then perhaps you'll surprisingly enjoy them
however, they're basically just FireRed and LeafGreen in HD (except no Sevii Islands oops) with a bit of Yellow/manga inspiration, Go mechanics, a few minor character/story changes and some admittedly nice quality of life improvements but even the things I like aren't really enough for me unfortunately, and I can't promise these are worth the $60 depending on your tastes
there's gen 8 next year so I'm not really mad over the games' existence like most of the internet, I'm just mostly baffled by some of the decisions made

On today's edition of "jjs makes you feel old as hell", The Splinter turned 10 years old today. Quite an anniversary to celebrate.

On today's edition of "jjs makes you feel old as hell", Total Drama World Tour premiered eight years ago today in the US.

I'm STILL not even FINISHED with my parody season of it! Partially, it's due to the fact that I made it TWICE as long as the ACTUAL season, but it's partially due to the fact that unlike the "Total Drama" writers, I have to figure out ways of trying to make it SOMEWHAT original, all on my own! At least it won't be too much longer before it's done. Enough said!

So apparently my Sociology teacher taught us the wrong material on Wednesday for the final, so he cancelled the final class today and just gave us all A's for the exam.
I know it sounds crazy too, but I'm not making this up.

I dunno, I'm just not feeling it, imho. It's not terrible, but it felt very bland, dull and uninspired. Every "story arc" (if you want to call them those) feel like worse rehashes from better seasons. Red Ranger has missing parent(s)? Wild Force and Dino Charge did it much better. Levi's imprisonment felt very similar to previous similar sixth ranger imprisonments in Wild Force and Dino Charge. Galvanax's hunt for the stars is literally the exact same as Sledge's Energem hunt. Even the ending of the season is exactly the same as the ending of Dino Charge's first season finale, with the destroyed ship cliffhanger and a "new" villain rising. It just feels like they're trying to copy Dino Charge without much of an identity of its own, and I don't feel they really added any unique flavors or much of a new spin to anything I mentioned above. I'll admit the game show aspect for the villains is something new, but they could've done a lil more with that. The only somewhat interesting things they did story wise were robo Aiden and Levi being the real brother, but even then I don't think they did as much as they could with those.
Character wise, the rangers aren't really all that interesting. I'm having a hard time even really writing anything about them, they just feel so bland with the exception of Levi. Mick is okay though, probably the best mentor in a long time. The villains are also painfully boring. Galvanax was a terrible villain who put me to sleep the entire season. Odious should've just been the villain from the beginning, and even then I don't care for her as much as most fans. The acting is mixed, neither great nor terrible. Also Victor and Monty are terrible and useless characters.
The season was overall just really boring and dry. It feels like PR has entered an Al Jean era. Maybe the Super season will improve and surprise me (haven't watched it yet), but so far I'm not impressed. And with how the previous "Super" seasons have gone, I'm skeptical. More to power to you if you like it though.

Yeah. As someone who's writing a Power Rangers fanfic himself (albeit one that's darker and with more mature themes), I can say that Ninja Steel is...OK, but it just rehashes ideas. It feels more like they just wanna focus on the fights. It feels like season 1 of PR: MVF to me, man...and I'm just comparing it to my own work not to sound egotistical or anything, but because I've kinda been in that boat before.
Sure, I understand there needs to be "meat" so that episodes, while formulaic, can be interesting, but it just feels lazy rehashing stuff that's been there before.

so my irl friend and I jokingly suggested a trump/kanye bromance back in 2015 and now it's actually real
