Clappy Posted December 16, 2013 Author Share Posted December 16, 2013 I have to say, I'm surprised, but glad my hatred of "Welcome to My Life" spawned such interesting debate. Obviously most of it about Untitled, but whatever, I'll take it. Since I did a pretty shitty job emphasizing why I hate it, it all goes back to, as usual, work. I've always hated Welcome to My Life because it is such a whiny nauseating song. Simple Plan has been and always will be a bunch of hacks and this song is the epitome of how crappy a pop-rock (which is an insult to pop-rock) band can be. Then of course, I have heard every single version of this song thanks to overplay at work. If you want to look at why I hate easy listening pop-rock, it all goes back to work. They have killed so many songs for me and Welcome To My Life has beaten a dead horse. I've literally gone on rants at work at how bad of a song this is to paying customers, bored co-workers, or whoever else wants to hear me ramble and if it wasn't for me posting my Crap Cinema review in a few minutes as a Christmas present to you all, I would definitely go into a longer detailed explanation as to why I hate this song with so much passion. As for Laffy Taffy, I can't entirely hate it. It's so bad, it's good. And Steel, I gave up on the honorable mentions.
