Current Forums

Krusty Krab

  • Bulletin Board: All news about The SpongeBob Community is posted here. It was originally called "Krabby Kronicle" from 2012 to 2023. Only staff can post new topics here.
    • Staff Lounge: Staff forum. Only Managers, Cashiers, Fry Cooks and Retired Employees have access. It is not used anymore in favor of Discord's staff chat, but is kept as a historic archive. The forum was thought to be a myth in the past; its existence is now widely known. It was possible for normal members to access the Staff Lounge with the now-defunct Become a Mod for a Day item. As of November 12th, 2012, regular members cannot access this forum under any circumstances, however for a time in 2014 a loophole allowed people to see it. The topics were publicly visible during the summer 2011 hack. Leaking out information from the forum to normal members previously resulted in punishment. From May 1st, 2020 to November 27th, 2020, several infamous threads from the Staff Lounge were shown weekly for Loyal Customers for "Staff Lounge Fight Fridays." It was temporarily renamed "Administration Lounge" and "The Secret Box" before being reverted both times.
  • Bikini Bottom: Discuss the main SpongeBob series here!
    • SpongeBob Characters: Discuss your favorite characters from SpongeBob here, including their personality, backgrounds, and even shippings between characters!
    • SpongeBob Episodes: Discuss all 14 seasons of SpongeBob here! This forum is known for housing SBC's Best and Worst episode countdowns.

  • SpongeBob Universe: Discuss SpongeBob spin-offs and movies!
    • Kamp Koral: Discuss everything about SpongeBob's first spin-off, Kamp Koral, here.
    • The Patrick Star Show: Discuss everything about SpongeBob's second spin-off, The Patrick Star Show, here.

Jellyfish Fields

  • Robot-Pirate Island: Discuss any general topic or current events!
    • Krusty Towers Check-In: Check in and introduce yourself to the SpongeBob Community! The forum was first introduced May 15th, 2011 and was called "Introductions" until Orca 8. This was originally a main forum under Krusty Krab, but is now a sub-forum as of Seahorse 15.
    • Sharing Time: Share your life story here! Guests cannot see this forum.
  • The Industrial Park: This is a wasteland; your topics don't have to make sense. This forum was first introduced in December 2011. It originally did not increase post or doubloon counts, but the restriction was lifted with Jellyfish 14. You originally also needed 25 posts to access it, making it the only forum to be locked behind a post count, but this restriction has also since been lifted. Guests cannot see this forum. Before these restrictions were lifted, posts and/or doubloons only counted in the forum during: a few King Neptune reigns, Customer Appreciation Day, 5 Year Anniversary, SBC's 7th Year Anniversary and April Fools 2019.
    • Takin' Out the Trash: This is the SBC dump, where we place all locked threads. You get hours of entertainment here if you wish to look at them. Only staff and Loyal Customers can view it. The locked threads consist of duplicates, threads deemed "non-desirable" from the staff, spam or drama. This forum was famous with early VIP groups such as Good Noodles, hence why it's a Loyal Customer exclusive. From September 9th, 2016 to January 16th, 2018, it was under The Secret Box, and then moved back to a sub-forum for The Industrial Park.
  • New Kelp City: Discuss all forms of media entertainment here! Originally named Downtown Bikini Bottom until 2023. It's known for holding SBC's Best and Worst of Entertainment threads.
    • Culture Shock: Discuss your favorite shows and movies here! Originally two separate forums known as "As See on TV" and "Reef Cinema" but were fused together in 2023.
    • K-BLUB: Discuss your favorite music and artists here! Home of Community Mixtape.
    • We Have Technology: Discuss your favorite video games, technology, YouTubers and websites here!
    • Goo Lagoon: Discuss sports, books, comics, hobbies, animals, foods, and anything else about lifestyle in this beachside board. This was a main forum until the January 2018 forum reorganization. It's known for housing the Wrestling thread.

Atlantis

  • SpongeBob's Library: Publish your fanfiction here for users to read and rate! Your writings don't have to be SpongeBob related. Originally named "Spin-Offs and Literatures" until 2023.
    • Davy Jones' Locker: All finished writings will come here to rest in peace.
  • Squidward's Art Show: Post your drawings and digital art for users to rate and critique!

Bikini Bottom Arcade

  • Eels and Escalators: Relax and play a game! Known for housing the SpongeBob Best Episode Tournament and SpongeBob Jeopardy! sign-up threads. This was originally two separate forums, one for general games and one for SpongeBob themed games, but they were fused together in January 2018.
    • Ask Me: Create a questionnaire thread and have others ask you questions! These originally started in the Games forum, but due to their popularity, were given their own sub-forum. At one point, post and doubloon counts did not increase here, but now they do. The concept of Ask Me threads were once criticized "an easy way to increase your post count", but people eventually stopped caring about this. This was at one point SBC's most active forum and a convenient way for communication, but is not used much anymore due to Discord.
  • Krabby Land: The official forum for SBC's events. Originally named "The SpongeBob Community Events" until 2023.
    • The Golden Community Awards: For SBC's yearly awards ceremony, where users and their content is honored.
    • Event Placeholder: Contains whichever current event is happening and contains the necessary threads for said event.

Clubs

These forums exist through the Clubs feature without taking up space on the main forum. These three are only listed due to their history; not every individual Club forum will be listed here.

  • Glove Universe: Originally known as Glove World, this forum allowed users to make their own stores and sell merchandise related to fanfictions, graphics or anything else. It was first introduced on December 29, 2010 and then removed on July 14th, 2014 due to lack of activity. It had a few limited time returns during Spin-Off Festivals as "Glove World Market." The concept now lives on as a Club.
  • Toy Barrel: A forum for discussing SpongeBob merchandise, first introduced in January 2012. Due to low activity it was brought back and retired several times. It now lives on as a Club.
  • The Secret Box: Exclusive forum for Loyal Customers. Loyal Customers can suggest ideas to SBC staff, participate in polls on how to improve the community, receive sneak peeks and learn behind the scenes information. It was originally its own forum and then turned into a Club in January 2018. The #secretbox Discord channel has taken its purpose in recent years.

Discontinued Forums

  • Guests Paradise: A forum where guests could post, introduced in summer 2010. It was discontinued due to most of the "guests" being members trolling.
  • Little Critters: A forum to discuss animals, which later became a part of Goo Lagoon.
  • Roger's Lightbulb: An exclusive forum for Good Noodles.
  • The Wrestling Arena: An exclusive forum for Krusty Krushers.
  • Haunted House: An exclusive forum during Octerror Fest 2012.
  • Spy HQ: An exclusive forum for Spy Buddies.
  • Jellyfish Fields: An exclusive forum for Jellyfish Hunters.
  • Karate Island: An exclusive forum for Karate Choppers.
  • Goofy Goober's Ice Cream Party Boat: An exclusive forum for Goofy Goobers.
  • Krusty Krab V.I.P. Room: An exclusive forum for the 2013 incarnation of Loyal Customers.
  • Ask The Magic Conch Shell: A support forum to report any technical issues. Later turned into a "Support" page. Discontinued in 2018 due to a variety of ways for people to contact staff now.
  • Squidward's House: A sub-forum under Robot-Pirate Island that allowed users to talk about political issues, first introduced on November 9th, 2016. This was the only forum in SBC history where posts needed moderator approval. As of Seahorse 15, it was retired and merged with Robot-Pirate Island.
  • SpongeCraft: A forum for discussing any ideas, concerns, or updates on SpongeCraft Classic.
  • Plankton's Secret Lab: An exclusive forum that could only be accessed during Octerror Fest 2017. Contained a store offering several rare items.
  • Krusty Krab Event Vault: An archive for event threads. Discontinued with Seahorse 15 and fused with the main Krabby Land forum.

Trivia

  • Krusty Krab went through various names: "SBC", "Site News" and "Krabby News."
  • Jellyfish Fields was originally known as "Kelp Forest" until 2021.
  • The four core categories have been periodically renamed as part of SBC events:
    • During April Fools 2018, they were respectively called: "Titans Tower", "Jump City", "Gotham City" and "Jump City Arcade."
    • During April Fools 2019, they were respectively called: "Titan", "Wakanda", "Nowhere" and "Thanos' Farm."
    • During April Fools 2020, they were respectively called: "Pizza Planet", "Enchanted Forest", "Paradise Falls" and "Disneyland."
    • During Octerror Fest, they are respectively called: "Kreepy Krab", "Haunted Kelp Forest", "Flying Dutchman's Graveyard" (originally "Aaah!lantis") and "Bikini Boottom Arcade."
    • During Snowcember Ball, they are respectively called: "Krabs a la Mode", "Sand Mountain", Santa's Workshop" and "Snowball Showdown."
    • During Freebooter Februarry 2020, they were respectively called: "Krusty Pub", "Kelp Island", "Arrlantis" and "Bearded Bottom Carnival."
