i'm 'bout to book a show at the dimmsdale dimmadome

I'm currently in the process of writing an essay for one of my college courses, and I've been coming back to ADoseofBuckley's rant on celebrity deaths from overdose, cuz' I've been thinking of looking into it for ideas of making some counterarguments, and my god does that rant frustrate me more whenever I come back to it. I do enjoy some ADoB's videos enough and understand the content that he makes, but that one video was just distasteful, even if it's a rant from 4 years back.
Also, even though I'm talking about a video on drug overdose, I'm actually writing an evaluation on the causes of tobacco addiction. That sounds weird, but it's still true.

I'm not too late to notice that Disney XD has a new night block called DXD, which showcases video game variety programs. And IGN just so happens to have their own program on the network. Now, let me repeat that:
-IGN has their own show
-on Disney XD

I'm planning on another avatar-related takeover this month, but for the time being, I'm returning to an old favorite.

I've finally been trying to finish up Legend of Korra since the past two months. I'm now up to Book 3 and after being halfway through Change, I can say for certain that it's a vast improvement from Air and Spirits.

I've now come to realize that I despise "Shape of You" marginally more than "Don't Wanna Know."
I mean, the latter is basically the bare minimums in M5's part, but the same could be said for Ed's song. Like, the production is kinda lacking, Ed Sheeran's vocals are subdued. Besides that, it also has lines like "Your love was handmade for somebody like me," "although my heart is falling too," and in general, it's the type of song that doesn't quite fit in with the style of Ed's music. The rap-singing is nothing new to me, but he's done better with that tone in "Don't" and on some days, "You Need Me, I Don't Need You." Otherwise, "Shape of You" IMO is "Don't," but without the qualities that made the latter good. As for a few nitpicks, overplay killed it for me, and when I realized that it has a similar melody to "No Scrubs," it makes me wanna go back to that TLC song.

"Castle on the Hill" is at least a much better song. I didn't like it at first because it sounded too much like U2, but it grew on me within a couple months. To me, it's become more of a homage to U2 than a shameless rip-off, and for the most part, it gets right in what "7 Years" got wrong in the influential, past life reminisce narrative.

If I could go back and change my Latin Songs rankings, I would've pushed the remix to "Te Bote" all the way to the bottom. I'd legitimately rather listen to the instrumentation on "Mi Gente" on loop than listen to six artists flex about being single and kicking out their past lovers from their relationships over a non-changing downtempo reggaeton beat for seven minutes.
(And given that it has a good chance to make the year-end, consider it as one of my biggest contenders for the worst hit song of 2018 alongside a lot of other selects.)

In this installment of Steel makes you feel very old, the cartoon character, Felix the Cat, just recently became 100 years old.

It looks like we might be facing a dog, huh? I wonder how much ransom you get for a dog? I wonder how much dog you get for a ram? I want a dog. Why don't I have a dog?

It'll change soon, but right now, Big Mouth has a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.
...
Now it looks like I'm gonna have watch one or more episodes to see whether or not I'm delusional for hating the show immediately after seeing the trailer.

It's been a while since I've been active here. Sorry guys, I've been in a coma for 5 years.

Just a reminder that I might not be able to do a best of animation list for 2018 because I can no longer afford to go to a movie theater with my family unless I were to go by myself (something I have yet to consider doing). And even when the animated films of 2018 get released to DVD this year, I wouldn't also afford to the pay the market price for them.

Just a reminder. I'm gonna end up writing my Entertainment lists late again. Right now, I'm dealing with most of my television network service being down so I had to end up missing the one entire week of new SpongeBob and I'm also gonna end up skipping the entire Starbomb if it's still down for the next two weeks. And considering that most of my TV service is down, Nick.com is also cockblocking me when they have the episodes online. Another reason why is that I haven't been doing enough TV viewing all year-round because of my depression over the fact that I haven't been doing anything much all year.
I'm currently living in the worst year of my life, so you can't really blame me for being tardy on my lists again. I've also been planning on a worst list for animation just to spite 2017, but I may or may not get it out depending on how much time, money (for watching the animated films, of course) or options I'll be able to have for it.

Just seeing Gorillaz have a song on the Hot 100 after 12 years is enough to make my day.
-
Look who decided to sign up late for this year's Octerror Fest SWYAD. Who does he think he is? Steel Sponge? Oh wait...
-
me: finish the last episode of one of your spin-offs.
also me: *spending most of my birthday playing animal crossing new horizons*
-
Funny! If I'm lucky, I'll probably be able to get "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" delivered to me very soon! Although to be fair, it IS kind of the perfect time to START playing a game like that, it's not like we've really got anything better we CAN do, with Disneyland and Disney World being closed for the indefinite future, among other things. Enough said!

My 2017 list for animation will be out in August, and this time, I'm guaranteeing that. I only have a few shows left in my queue from that year that I need to finish watching.
All I can say of it is, based on what it looks like, expect my choices to actually be diverse but expect it a little less as if it were a list arranged by Pitchfork (or Cartoon Brew if we're going with a more practical exemplification).

My new avatar and username combo is based on one of the all-time best anime characters.
I've had this idea for a little while, so don't think it's a coincidence that Jjs and I are into the same anime

My Pokemon Sun team in a span playing for one whole day:
Dartrix level 22
Slowpoke level 22
Oricorio (Pom-Pom Style) level 22
Mudbray level 22
Wishiwashi level 22Just got through my fourth trial. Oricorio as my temporary team member. I originally wasn't going to put Slowpoke on my team but I decided it would stick with me rather than I get Rufflet on my team because I already noticed Decidueye can know Flying moves, I needed a Trick Room user, and it has an Adamant nature to boot.

New avatar/display name for the season. This time around, Cousin Mel's going to be spending Christmas with the superstars.

Now that Gravity Falls has concluded, I've now got to find another animated series to be a big fan of and keep track with. I should join the "annoying" SU fanbase and become an "annnoying" fan myself.
