I really liked those elements in the show. I personally think they work better as one-shot characters. The royal family appeared again in The Clash of Triton, and that episode was mediocre at best. I'd still like more political flavor injected into the show; I think they could do some pretty hilarious lines, especially with snarky and biased characters like Mr. Krabs and Squidward. I can picture them reflecting their views on royalty (which, if the writers were smart enough, could insert their own political jabs at American leaders). ;P Just something new that they've never really done before.
