Out of character is a more proper one. Yes we get Sandy is an athletic, nature loving, scientist. However, she has a caring nature about her friends as we've seen time and time again. In this episode though, she disguises herself as an old man as she causes her friends to drive themselves into insanity and cannibalism. Completely out of character for her and a horrible twist. If someone was harassing you to no end, taking advantage of your mortal weakness, would I, say, thrown you in prison for the rest of your life (and no parole)?
