box Posted October 27, 2012 Share Posted October 27, 2012 Ooh, Marc, Luke, and Mr. Lawrence! An interesting pair, indeed.. Anyway, Eek! An Urchin! is the first Krusty Krab episode of S9. I'm sorry I have to bring it up, but I sincerely hope that they'll go with some other themes in S9, not just abuse the Krusty Krab like they've done in Season 8. Oh, and Plankton's here too! Thankfully, the episode was pretty OK and it's nice seeing the sea urchins from Nature Pants again. Seeing Mr. Krabs & Plankton work together was a nice fresh change since previously, (minus The Other Patty), it was pretty much Mr. Krabs VS Plankton. And no tricks were thrown in. Thank Neptune. Plankton's "glasses" disguise seriously cracked me up. The ending was meh, but this is SpongeBob, so I've been trying to come to expect less out of a cartoon. Eek! Young Nug Posted October 27, 2012 Share Posted October 27, 2012 Really good episode. Da Good - The plot never moved outside the Krusty Krab. I loved that. -The sea urchin was a nice reference to older episodes. -Mr. Krabs and Plankton teaming up for a change was a really good plot decision. -The Urchin hitting on Plankton was hilarious. -"CLEANING TIME!" -The personalities were spot on this episode. Krabs wasn't a jerk, Squidward wasn't either, Spongebob wasn't too annoying, and Plankton wasn't a desperate weirdo like he can be. -Very creative plot, too. Da Bad - Not much. No Patrick, but that doesn't really detract any points, persay. 9/10, really great episode. I loved it. Almost like Season 2 quality, IMO. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Squidward's comment, SpongeBob freaking out and running everywhere, and then Squidward freaking out, and then Mr. Krabs screaming... that was awesome. -lol. "Plankton? WOW, THAT'S ALL WE NEED." -Loving the character interaction, the attention to detail (Squidward is still shivering in fear behind Mr. Krabs), and just how wonderfully this cast is fitting together. :3 -LOL. xD That was great how they referenced Mr. Krabs's shell, and then how he smashes the killer robot; BTW, I loved the killer robot. :3 -Wow, did not see the operation scene coming; VERY nice addition. -lol "Planktonella." -xD "What kind of urchin do you think I am?!" Finally, the return of innuendoes! -Did not see the hundreds of urchins coming. -Kelp Forest! -Eh. Didn't like that ending. Overall, that was a stellar episode, one that felt like Season 2 quality. :3 Absolutely loved it. PatBack Posted October 28, 2012 Share Posted October 28, 2012 Might as well join the party. -Cleaning time? -Ew, kinda gross scene. -Lol, a skull. -URCHIN! -It's screaming time already? -Oops, stove is on... -Wait, did they just teleport? -Loved their attempts to capture the urchin. -Never knew Squidward was that lazy. -Urchin french fries...wonder how they taste like. -Now it's time for customers to panic... -"Mr. Krabs will never notice me with...these glasses!" -Plankton's teaming up with Mr. Krabs? -Wow, that scene was awesome... -Good reference to Shell of a Man there. -Mr. Krabs smashing the robot with a mallet made me laugh. -Wow, how unfortunate... -Squidward owns a cactus? -I admit, the operation scene was interesting. -First time a character that's not Spongebob cross-dresses...I think... -A hundred urchins?! -Who cares about Plankton? -Good timing... -Spongebob traveling the whole world was hilarious. -MORE URCHINS! The characters were PERFECT!SpongeBob was his adorable self! Squidward was a bit of a grump in the beginning, but BOY HE IMPROVED! Mr. Krabs was not cheap AT ALL!!!! I was watching that part and thinking, "Oh, God, they're going to make it a gross-out scene" and then pulled it off marvelously. :3 I actually liked seeing underneath the grill. Overall, a very decent episode. Fast paced, yeah, but still great. 9.4/10, A, 4.5/5 It felt fast paced to you? I actually thought it was kinda slow.
