What's so great about it compared to the original My Little Pony show? I'm not gonna watch it just to find out. I'd prefer a simple explanation which would be nice.

I never watched the other My Little Pony so it will be difficult for me. But this show has great humor, universal themes, and some pretty great animation as well. It's just really fun to watch. Honestly, I know this isn't the thing you're looking for, but to find out it really is best just to watch. You won't fully understand until then.

In fact, the creator of Friendship is Magic said she was disappointed as a kid watching those shows because they were too girly and weren't like the stories she imagined while playing with her MLP dolls.

Shouldn't they be called unicorns? Yeah, the ones with wings are Pegasus, the ones with horns are unicorns, and the other regular ones are ponies. We even have a few perverted SB fans on here who create SB porn *coughJellycough* Eh, excuse me but FYI, I've never actually drawn SB porn
