Give credit to Face for suggesting this, as most of this new layout is based on an old idea of his. If you're confused on what has been added or changed, here's a map: Krusty Krab: --The Krabby Kronicle --Krusty Towers Check-In --Ask The Magic Conch Shell (No longer a sub-forum) ---Test Forum --Staff Lounge (Staff only) Nautical Nonsense: --SpongeBob Discussion ---Toy Barrel (NEW: Allows you to discuss SpongeBob merchandise, including comics, video games, etc.) --SpongeBob Characters (No longer a sub-forum) --SpongeBob Episodes Atlantis: --Spin-Offs and Literature ---Davy Jones' Locker --Squidward's Art School Bikini Bottom Arcade (new category for gaming and events): --SpongeBob Games --Forum Games --Ask Me (No longer a sub-forum; it was too active to be a sub-forum) --SpongeCraft --The SpongeBob Community Events (NEW: Official forum for SBC's events; there will be a sub-forum for them when they happen) ---The Golden Community Awards Kelp Forest: --Robot-Pirate Island --The Industrial Park --Goo Lagoon ---Sharing Time --Downtown Bikini Bottom --The Secret Box (Loyal Customers only) ---Takin' Out the Trash (Now a Loyal Customer exclusive forum) We felt this new format would be more organized and new user friendly. Nothing was deleted, so it wasn't a drastic change. There was nothing wrong with the old layout, but we wanted to shake things up, since we had the same old one more or less for 3 years. It's okay if you don't feel the new layout, but give it time and maybe it'll grow on you. To justify some of the changes: 1.) We felt Ask The Magic Conch Shell worked better as a main forum than a sub-forum, since actual news in the Krabby Kronicle was being buried due to topics in there, same goes for the Test Forum. 2.) We felt Ask Me was too active to be just a sub-forum, so it being a main forum works better. 3.) Takin' Out the Trash is in fact now a Loyal Customer exclusive forum. Sorry to those who can't view it now, but we felt the forum had things that any random member shouldn't see, and could give off the wrong vibe to newer members. Most of the people who would find nostalgia in them would be Loyal Customers anyways. Plus, now this could give people more of an incentive to become a Loyal Customer. Honestly, I feel like it's a forum only loyal people should view it, and who better than Loyal Customers. I know people will dislike it, but if this is your biggest grievance with the new layout, then I'd get over it. I don't think it's that important of all SBC forums, and if you want to see it badly, prove your loyalty by saving up the doubloons to become a Loyal Customer. We also thought it'd be a cool little throwback to how Good Noodles could access the Trash. 4.) There's now a better consistent emphasis for each section's theme (Krusty Krab for site news and acting as a "hub", Nautical Nonsense for purely SpongeBob discussion, Atlantis for creativity, Bikini Bottom Arcade for gaming, and Kelp Forest for general discussion). If you like them, that's great. If you like it better than the old layout, even better. If you want to suggest anything to make it even better, go ahead (can't guarantee we'll use the ideas however). If you don't like the changes, well, you can just use the Activity stream to see new posts. Here's some various ways you can earn doubloons: -Posting -Winning the lottery -Mining in the Doubloon Mine in SpongeCraft -Having songs liked in SBC Music -Winning games like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune (or earning doubloon prizes in Wheel of Fortune) -Turning on ads gives you 25 doubloons a day -Winning games in various forum events when they happen (there is one next month). 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Before enabling ads: After enabling ads: 410 - 385 = 25. Yep, it works. Another thing to note: SBC gives doubloons 24 hours after you enabled it, not by the day. So when midnight strikes, you won't receive your 25 doubloons. It works when it has been 24 hours since either you turned on ads or since the last time you got doubloons.
