I think Chronicle is great. How far are you? If you haven't finished keep watching. Andrew is a fascinating character and his evolution is so well done that it makes the movie worthwhile.

I actually finished the movie and I loved it so much. No found footage film will beat this one. It was so messed up but it's pretty interesting and funny.

I honestly hope every single one of these movies are great and would love to be proven wrong.

That being said, I have no clue what in the nine hells is the problem with the DCEU.  Is Warner Brothers overmeddling?  Are they trying to rush the output way too fast?  Do they know it's too late to win over the popular consensus since Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad were critically panned and word of mouth wasn't good?

Either way, this potentially has the chance to be the biggest missed opportunity of a franchise I've ever seen, even if it gets rebooted entirely and tries again five years from now or so.  Once again, I seriously hope I'm wrong since I want this to be actual competition for Disney/Marvel.

I don't want DC to be an actual competiton for Marvel. That's one of the reasons why this whole universe is so rushed and so messy right now. DC wanted Marvel's success, yet they seems to forget what made MCU work in the first place. They took their time, unlike DC. I just want them to take time and make good movies without trying to catch up to Marvel.
