      That's so odd, reminds me of my parents. You're 19, you should have the freedom to choose where you want to go in life. If she doesn't give you freedom then go your own path.

      It is odd. It's not even like I've done something to lose her trust, she just straight up doesn't trust me. I mostly live with my dad nowadays (divorced parents)

      Oh that explains it. Are you more outgoing than your brother or is it the opposite? attitudes like that are sometimes the reason why parents are overprotective, they think we're gonna do something bad. Its not always the case though, I recommend that you talk to her about it.
