Waimea Bay is your home for big waves, excellent for surfing. Lanikai Beach is damn chill and excellent for walking and sight seeing the islands off in the distance. Diamond Head Beach is never crowded when I go there, mainly because you have to hike it over there, but the surf is righteous at times. Makaha Beach is another mostly unpopulated beach, but its hot and dry there. There's a shitload to do at Waikiki Beach, but its also crowded with tourists and locals alike. Bellows Beach is like heaven, since its mostly not crowded because only military and their family can use it on weekdays and its a good place for beginning surfers.
