  1. For every good original series Netflix has provided, it gets counteracted by every terrible Netflix original movie.  Not saying they’ve all been bad, but I can only think of maybe a handful of good ones compared to the heavy amounts of crap I’ve streamed.

  2. Fortnite is having more of an impact on the music charts than the Super Bowl and the Grammys.  Fortnite.  What a strange timeline we are living in.

"By the way, by the way, you do things to my body."

Who the hell would even say that?

  9. Hot Take: Malekith is the worst MCU villain by far.  I can at least remember the motivations from practically every Marvel movie villain except him and their names.  I had to Google his and all I remember about him from Thor 2 was that he was a space elf of some sort.

I didn’t know how popular of an opinion this was because I’ve seen so many complaints about how Killian, Kaecilius, and pretty much everyone WhoBob listed above are the worst, yet no complaints for the space elf?

    3. WhoBibbles

      WhoBibbles

Kaecilius deserved better fam but his goal was still sort of understandable compared to space elf. Kaecolius wanted immortality for everyone and he was mad at Acident One's hypocrisy on dark magic. Space elf wanted to destroy Asgard for some shit, revenge or something in da past from them preventing ruling nine realms but that's it, go home. Asgardians wanted to stop a shit person, so that's your villain motivation.

Never seen any of Sandler movies actually lmao

  11. How do you make probably my favorite song on the 24K Magic album even better?  By giving it a remix with Cardi B and making an In Living Color inspired music video.  There isn't anything out like this right now.  So freaking great guys.

1st time listening to this song: Yeah this is alright, not his best tho, Cardi B's probably the best part

2nd time: Bruno Mars and Cardi B are the only artists who matter anymore

  12. I don't normally don't do this since I like to keep these lists suspenseful:

Front Runner for Song of the Year: "Spirits" - The Strumbellas.  Please let this song become a hit.  Will make my best hit song list so much easier.

Front Runner for Film of the Year: Tough but I'll say Zootopia.  Film has actually been pretty good this year so far.

Front Runner for TV Show of the Year: American Crime Story: The People vs OJ Simpson.  Best thing Ryan Murphy has ever done.

How about you all...if you want to soil the suspense? :P

Ryan Murphy is more of an executive producer for American Crime Story tho but I'm gonna check it out.

      Anyway:

      Song: Pass :P

TV: Uhhh, still not sure since I need some catching up to do. I'd say Gravity Falls so far since the finale was epic but then again, it's just one episode aired this year and that's all it's gonna be lel.

      Movie: Captain America: Civil War.

    3. Sweat

      Sweat

      Song: Dangerous Woman

Movie: n/a, haven't seen a single movie this year

      TV: Steven Universe

  14. I really wish I never looked this song up.

Why should I be told to go back to 1999 by two singers who weren’t even in elementary school when the 90s were over?  And here I thought Ready Player One would be the most shameless plugging of properties without any actual substance I’d see this year.

Also this song is a bop...if your name is Todd Phillips.

Just for the record, Charli was born in 92. That at least makes much more sense than Sivan's presence on the song.

also, this was released in the same timeframe by someone born before both artists, and it's even worse imo:

    3. Clappy

      Clappy

Okay so she was in maybe first grade?  She wants to go back to memories of learning how to write the alphabet?  Even if I was wrong about her age, it’s not much better than what I initially said anyway lol.

    4. Clappy

      Clappy

Alright so I just listened to that song you linked Steel and I completely disagree with you on it being worse.  It’s much better.  That song is at least a retrospective look at his life growing up, even if the chorus completely falls apart musically.  It’s at least realistic.

  15. I respect so many of the people who made and starred in “A Wrinkle in Time”.  I bet that it was a tough adaptation to make, but it was definitely a misfire for Disney.  Not one of the worst movies I’ve seen, but still quite a mess narratively and at times, visually.

  16. I would love nothing more than to see Tom Brady lose today.  Don't think it's going to happen, but a guy can dream right?

  19. I've been critical of practically all of Taylor Swift's singles from reputation, but her latest one is honestly excellent and I hope it blows up on the charts:

For sure, it'll blow up....only for it to drop significantly after a few weeks because female pop song purge.

With all seriousness, the top 20 could really use a song like "Delicate." Although, I'd say the best single I've heard from reputation, despite being promotion only, is "Call It What You Want."

"End Game" is also a guilty pleasure for me, if I might add.

It's different than the rest and definitely a huge step up, wouldn't say it should be at the top of the charts but at least I can't deny it being respectable.

  20. If you didn’t already think Logan Paul is human garbage, wait until you see his latest video making fun of a deceased person who committed suicide...and making the corpse his thumbnail.  The less we see of the Pauls’ in 2018, the better.

Literally just finished watching two videos discussing this. Disgusted by the behavior of these chuckleheads, disgusted by the fact that they actually get money for doing this, and most of all disgusted by Youtube letting them become their poster boys.

  21. In this week’s episode of hit radio being completely out of touch with today’s music landscape, I’ve yet to hear “Lucid Dreams” on any sort of radio station.  Meanwhile, dull lifeless crap like “I Like Me Better” I’ve heard at least five times this week, was in the top five played songs on the radio at one point, and hasn’t even cracked the top thirty on the Hot 100.

Feel lucky Kat.  Work plays Top 40 stations only and with such limited variety of actual pop on the radio now, I hear it every day practically.  It’s such a dull dull dull song.

  22. It pains me to say this because I love the Harry Potter franchise so much.  But the Fantastic Beasts franchise is already pissing me off after two, with many more movies to come.  The second one is at least ten times worse than the first and I had no idea what the hell was the point of anything more than half the run time.  Such a confusing disaster of a movie series.

It’s hard for me to ignore them because of JK Rowling’s involvement and I’ve been eating up anything Rowling does with the Harry Potter universe because of my dedicated fandom.  The Fantastic Beasts films have been testing my patience.

I have no familiarity with the HP series but from an outsider look JK Rowling is.... yikes

  23. It’s a shame that there are hit songs that get caught in between Billboard year end lists for “not having enough points”.  I would have loved to talk about “Greatest Love Story” by LANCO and “The Way Life Goes” by Lil Uzi Vert.  Both would have ended up very high on my best list this year.
