In "Pranks A Lot", there was originally going to be a scene of Mr. Krabs calling all the characters (including Sandy Cheeks), telling them about his plan to stop the Bikini Bottom Ghosts, and for everyone to come to the Krusty Krab once Mr. Krabs has won. This was cut due to making the episode too long.

In "Gary's Playhouse", Gary was originally going to start the day by asking for the "Secret Word Of The Day" in a clearer reference to "Pee-Wee's Playhouse". This was cut due to executives fearing that there wouldn't be ENOUGH people who would get that reference.

^8/10. In "Texas", there was originally a scene with Spongebob running into the Krusty Krab breathing heavily, but then Sandy karate chops the door, causing Spongebob to jump into the kitchen window. With his hydrodynamic spatula (with port and starboard attachments and turbo drive), he flicked the patties at Sandy, causing her to lose her vision. This was cut as a scene with Spongebob physically attacking his friend would seem "too extreme" for the show.

In "The Salty Sponge", there was going to be a scene where Flats The Flounder barged into The Salty Spittoon, wanting to officially become one of the toughest creatures in the sea, only to BOLT for it as soon as he saw Spongebob working there. It was cut due to executives fearing that NOBODY would remember the episode Flats ORIGINALLY appeared in!

6/10. Am I the only one who thought the Squidward torture scene was funny?

In "Your Shoe's Untied", there was originally a scene showing Spongebob repeatedly gasping for water upon entering the Krusty Krab while Patrick nervously questions "Spongebob...?". This was replaced with Spongebob talking to himself about his shoes, as a scene with Spongebob repeatedly gasping simulated suffocation, which would be too graphic for a show like Spongebob.

However, a hijacking took place on the night of July 25, 2005 during this episode, which was done in such a way that a simulation of the scene was broadcasted. (fake of course, there was never a hijacking on that day)
