The 1975

[Steel Sponge]

A topic for this group was long overdue. In my views, The 1975 are such a mindless fun and dreamlike synthpop/indie rock/new wave group. My top 10 from them, in no particular order, consists of "Somebody Else, "Settle Down," "The Sound," "You," "Paris," "Heart Out," "Sex," "Girls," "This Must Be My Dream," and "Change of Heart."

It's also fitting that I make a thread for the band since they came out with a new single for an album to be released in October of this year:

I really want to like this song, but those guitar tones are repetitive af and Matt Healy's voice sounds subdued, so I can't see myself loving this.

I really like this band. There's a reason why "The Sound" has been my profile music for a while now  "Somebody Else" is probably my favorite song of theirs tbh.

Definitely one of my favorite bands. The wait for new music has been long but I really like Give Yourself A Try, excited for the new album!

I am so excited for the new album, I love all the singles (my favourite is Love It If We Made It), I already pre-ordered the signed CD and cassette combo.
