The Spin-Off Festival has been an event in the past where we honor people's well-written spin-offs (and now Lits...Spin-Off/Lit Festival doesn't roll off the tongue well, okay? ) with games, events and more! We decided this could be a way to spark some interest in the spin-off/lit section again, and possibly get any newer members interested. Going from May 22nd, 2015 to June 12th, 2015, it's back! What is there to expect? Well, here are just a few events and features to expect... * Spin-Off/Lit Trivia Contest: Think you know all there is to know about Spin-Offs & Lits? We'll be having a 6-part trivia contest similar to the Christmas trivia, and the winner will receive unique prizes. * SpongeCraft Tournaments: Yup, we'll be using SpongeCraft again. These won't be Team related, so the tournaments will be a free for all. They will be every Friday night at 8:00pm ET. * SpongeBob Jeopardy!: The SpongeBob Jeopardy game on May 23rd will be Spin-Off/Lit themed for those wanting to test their knowledge. * Return of Spin-Off/Lit Games & Stores: For a limited time during the event, we'll be allowing users to bring back stores to sell some merchandise related to your creations, AND we'll even bring back some spin-off/lit games, like Best Creation Ever! If users want to make their own games, go ahead, because we want to give users much freedom during this. * The Spin-Off Contest: This will be returning. This will basically be a small-scale GCA's, for spin-offs & lits posted during Spin-Off Festival 5, and will honor the best, voted by the community. To be a participant for the contest, you can either make a new creation, or post a new episode of an already existing creation during the event. Any spin-offs/lits participating will be able to use an exclusive "SOF 5" tag to let us know your creation wants to be known during the event. * SOF Tickets: What are SOF Tickets? This is a new feature exclusive to this event. This is a sub-currency, like Doubloons. You'll be able to earn these from winning special events during the festival, and you can use these to buy special prizes at a prize store, giving it a real carnival feel. (yes, this is an excuse to have something other than doubloons) * ...and many more surprises I won't announce! If you don't write any spin-offs/lits, that's perfectly fine. You don't have to necessarily make one to participate in some of these, but again, participating in this is optional. If you do want to participate, feel free to start brainstorming new creations, new episodes, and whatever else you want to make during the event.
