When Larry invites SpongeBob and Sandy to go lift some weights, Sandy accepts, but SpongeBob, who isn't really strong, isn't excited at the prospect. While Sandy and Larry lift impossibly large weights in front of a screaming crowd (including the crowd itself), all SpongeBob can do is lift puny sticks. He tries it out with marshmallows on the sides, but ends up ripping his pants in the process. The crowd finds this hysterical, causing SpongeBob to leave, embarrassed. But then fish start complimenting him on the good laugh he provided, and Sandy agrees. SpongeBob decides to use this joke again.

While playing volleyball and Frisbee, he rips his pants both times. He then continues to rip has pants as he and Sandy go to get ice cream, where people begin to get a little annoyed. Finally, as he rips his pants while surfing, he pretends to drown. As the lifeguard tries to "save" him, SpongeBob reveals his joke. But this time, the crowd is not happy. They leave, disgusted, even Sandy and Scooter.

SpongeBob tries the joke with "pants ripped off", but nobody seems interested anymore. Alone, SpongeBob asks if he's the biggest loser on the beach. He is then joined by others who claim to be the biggest losers on the beach. They ask SpongeBob what he did, and he answers with a song. Everybody on the beach hears the song, including Sandy. After the song, Sandy forgives him and Larry asks him to sign his pants, which SpongeBob does, but for some reason his underwear rips off, leaving him buck naked.

23. "You see SpongeBob, Flats is from a town where kicking someone's butt means that he wants to be your friend. And maybe play some sports with you on weekends."

When SpongeBob's class gets a new student, Flats the Flounder, SpongeBob is threatened with the prospect of getting his butt kicked. SpongeBob at first thinks he's joking, but then it becomes pretty clear to him that Flats actually wants to beat him up. SpongeBob tries to get help from Patrick (who is actually Flats's buddy), Mrs. Puff (who only complicates the situation) and even Flat's dad (who is also threatened with getting his butt kicked). SpongeBob tries to run away, but Flats attempts to run him over with a garbage truck. However, his truck slips on a banana peel, and Flats ends up in the hospital. SpongeBob attempts to win Flats over by saving his life and bringing him flowers, but Flats still insists on kicking his butt. Eventually, SpongeBob gets cornered in his own home, where Flats finally delivers a punch.

But it turns out that his punches merely tickle, and Flats continues to keep trying to beat SpongeBob, but to no avail. Eventually, Flats collapses from the efforts at the front of Mrs. Puff's classroom. SpongeBob delivers a speech on Flats' plight, with his fist raised in the air. Then Mrs. Puff walks in, and seeing SpongeBob's fist raised and Flats lying on the ground, she assumes that SpongeBob beat him up, and she threatens to kick his butt.

Another thing to note about this episode is that it raises a significant issue in our society:

Elder abuse. Stand up for the orange fish near your bus stop. Make a change.

When SpongeBob and Patrick have a snowball fight, it interrupts Squidward's quiet time inside. They try to invite him to play when he gets upset, but Squidward refuses. He calls snowball fights something that immature children do. But then he decides to watch SpongeBob and Patrick "blow their brains out" for his entertainment. Because that's what mature, respectable adults do.

But when he looks outside, he sees SpongeBob and Patrick shaking hands, rather than fighting He steps outside and demands to know what's going on. SpongeBob and Patrick respond that they've taken Squidward's advice to heart. Squidward, desperate for entertainment, tries to get SpongeBob and Patrick to fight again. He finally decides to join the fight. He begins to make one of the most impermeable forts of all time, pelting SpongeBob and Patrick with snowballs all the while, who end up going inside. They relax with some hot chocolate and popcorn while Squidward throws snowballs relentlessly at no one, a tree dropping snow on his head.

After eating a moldy Krabby Patty that he insisted was safe, Mr. Krabs gets rushed to the hospital, where The Flying Dutchman condemns him to Davy Jones' Locker. Mr. Krabs begs not to go there, and The Flying Dutchman relents, so long as Mr. Krabs promises to be generous from now on. Mr. Krabs does so, benefiting his employees and his customers. He soon receives a bill from the hospital for $10,000, without any money from the cash register. But Mr. Krabs doesn't worry, because he's convinced that he's in a dream. But when SpongeBob tells him otherwise, he goes berserk and back to his old penny-pinching ways.

The Flying Dutchman comes back to condemn him, but SpongeBob stands up for Mr. Krabs, saying he'd bet his soul that Mr. Krabs wouldn't sell it.However, Mr. Krabs, being the lunatic that he is, chooses 62 cents over his fry cook. As SpongeBob is taken to Davy Jones' Locker, Squidward shames Mr. Krabs for making such a ludicrous decision. Mr. Krabs realizes that Squidward's right, and begs for SpongeBob back. Like clockwork, SpongeBob comes back, but not because of Mr. Krabs' begging, but because SpongeBob was way too annoying. Mr. Krabs apologizes, and things are back to normal. Except SpongeBob somehow got The Dutchman's phone number, and now can annoy him 24/7.

Sandy puts SpongeBob and Patrick in charge of her pets while she goes out of town. One of them is a small monarch worm named Wormy. Overnight, while SpongeBob and Patrick sleep, Wormy undergoes lightning-fast metamorphosis into a butterfly. When they come back in the morning, they believe Wormy was eaten by the butterfly. They try to trap the "monster", but Wormy escapes the treedome inside an air bubble.

SpongeBob and Patrick go to warn Mr. Krabs and Squidward, whom Wormy is headed for. Undaunted, Mr. Krabs reassures them that there's nothing to worry about. SpongeBob and Patrick leave, but then when Squidward and Mr. Krabs see the "monster" up close, they run in terror, leaving only their underwear and hat behind.

When SpongeBob and Patrick come back, they see only Mr. Krabs' and Squidward's remains. Horrified, they warn everybody in Bikini Bottom about the monster, creating mass chaos. Finally, Sandy shows up and traps Wormy in a jar. The townsfolk declare her a hero, to Sandy's surprise.

I really like this one, but it was kind of gross in the close-up scenes.

When Mr. Krabs finds out that customers are willing to eat late (and pay him money, of course), he opens the Krusty Krab 24/7. SpongeBob is ecstatic, doing everything he does during the day at night. To shut him up, Squidward tells SpongeBob a story about the Hash-Slinging Slasher, a former fry cook who cut off his hand while cutting the lettuce (and he wasn't a sponge, so it didn't grow back). He walked outside and got hit by a bus, and he was fired at his funeral. Every (what day is it? Tuesday) TUESDAY NIGHT, his ghost comes back to the Krusty Krab to wreak his horrible vengeance,

There are three signs to his coming: First, the lights will flicker on and off. Next, the phone will ring, and there will be nobody there. Last, the ghost of the Hash-Slinging Slasher will walk across the road without looking both ways, because he's already dead. He opens the door, slowly approaches the counter, and then... he gets ya!

When Squidward pinches SpongeBob, SpongeBob screams repeatedly. Squidward finally tells SpongeBob that he was joking, causing him to laugh for a long time.

Later, as SpongeBob is mopping the ceiling and Patrick is enjoying his 3am Krabby Patty, the lights begin to flicker on and off. SpongeBob thinks it's Squidward trying to pull that prank on him again, but Squidward blames the faulty wiring. Then the phone rings, and there's no one there. While Squidward begins to get nervous, SpongeBob still thinks it's a joke. Then the walls start oozing green slime, but they always do that. Then what appears to be the Hash-Slinging Slasher is standing right outside the Krusty Krab. Squidward screams, but SpongeBob still thinks it's a joke, that Squidward is in costume for his amusement. Squidward convinces him that he's not in the costume, because he's standing right beside him. When SpongeBob comes to the realization, both of them recoil in terror as the Hash-Slinging Slasher enters. However, it just turns out to be somebody applying for a job. He was also the one who called, but hung up because he was too nervous. That still left the mystery of who was flickering the lights but we all know who it was...

After SpongeBob gets his butt injured in a sandboarding accident, he is told by his doctor that if he's not careful,. he may have to end up in the Iron Butt. Horrified, SpongeBob makes a pact to stay inside at all times. He makes three new friends: Penny, Chip, and Used Napkin. Patrick and Sandy ask how he'll be doing things like working at The Krusty Krab and eating, but SpongeBob has all his necessities covered.

Worried that they might lose their best friend, Sandy and Patrick try a myriad of tactics to coax SpongeBob outside. They first start jellyfishing, but SpongeBob has since taken up the hobby of dust collecting. They then try to get him to blow out a candle on his birthday cake outside, but SpongeBob insists that he doesn't need wishes, because everything he wants is already here. He then sings a song about the glory of being indoors.

After many other tries, resulting in an old man who won't leave them alone, Sandy and Patrick finally decide to pretend that Sandy is being attacked by a gorilla (Patrick in a gorilla suit). But then a gorilla walks up in a Patrick suit, and captures both Patrick and Sandy!

It takes coaxing from Chip and name-calling from Used Napkin, but SpongeBob finally braves the outdoors to save his friends. He gets ripped in half by the gorilla, but then ponders how a gorilla survives underwater anyway. The gorilla sheepishly leaves on the back of a zebra, leaving a TV family watching it thoroughly confused.

Ugh, I guess this one was ok. It was just a little bit boring in some parts
