    So apparently Channel Awesome has come under fire for their terrible upper management as multiple former creators like Lindsay Ellis, Linkara, and Obscurus Lupa are all speaking out about how they’ve been treated.  Some of these claims include: awful communication leading to major problems, the sexism of Mike Michaud (the least known of the three CEOs of the company) towards female creators on the site, Doug's and Rob's seemingly pathetic response to all problems being brought up, and the brother's colossal egos.

    Well if the downfall of Nostalgia Critic quality didn’t speak volumes as to the decline of Channel Awesome, this sure as hell does.

      1. It may not have anything to do with the context of the movie, yes, but the reason (i.e. the setup of the joke) that they were booing Hyper in the first place is that she was suggesting that they be mature adults and not getting pee-owed about insignificant opinions (because this is the internet, everyone is incredibly divided over opinions). The punchline of the joke, if you can call it that, comes about because the backup message came from Devil Boner, who I may add is a trigger-happy psychopath. So, while I can understand why you'd feel that it'd be in bad taste, to me it just comes off as bad timing, given how long they needed to prepare for this review.

       

      2. Again, while I can understand how you can feel that way, think about who Zack Snyder and Michael Bay most appeal to: manly men, so it would make sense that they would have a testosterone overload if they crossed over. As for the joke itself, it isn't so much offensive as it is too obvious of a joke to be funny.

       

      3. Finally, see my point above for why saying "retarded" didn't exactly work as a joke. And besides, it's less of a derogatory term nowadays and moreover just another synonym for "stupid", albeit an overused and incredibly juvenile one.

       

      I hope I could paint a clearer picture in a civil manner, as was my intent.

      I'll concede that making a joke like that days after a mass shooting is, putting it lightly, in bad taste, but which review was this, and more importantly in what context? Take note that I'm not defending any of this, but context is everything when it comes to accusations like this, because taking things out of context might lead to misinterpretation. The same applies to your other points:
