chracters without personalities
1. phineas and ferb

i miss when knuckles was actually portrayed as sonics rival and his personality was the complete antithesis to sonic's, instead of literally just being a dumber sonic.

Except that SEGA and Sonic Team have always cared about the quality of their Sonic games. There are people who have complained about even the more beloved newer titles, but that's generally because most Sonic fans are hard to please. Also, if Pepperidge Farm still sticks to their beliefs that anything past Sonic Heroes or whatever is absolutely nothing of worth, then they need to remember better.
As for the whole argument about Knuckles' character, this particular moment from the Sonic Boom cartoon is anything but dumb...:
Welp, now that's two debates I've tried to destroy in one day.

how are phineas and ferb such boring characters that the side characters are more fleshed out than the main fucking characters

Phineas: Cheerful kid who's nice to everyone and always looks at the brighter side of things. Extremely creative and has a major tendency to express his creativity. Isabella has a crush on him, but he's absolutely oblivious about that.
Ferb: A British kid who doesn't talk much like Phineas, but is a "man of action" regardless. Just as filled with creativity and has a knack for making large-scale projects like his stepbrother.
Here's my two cents. And if you still think they're boring characters with no defining personality traits beside "they build things," I could at least say that there are few moments where Phineas gets angry at someone, like Candace in "Mission Marvel" for example.

i don't want to call it laziness or anything like that, but are there any voice actors that seem like they lose interest or "forget" to do a character's voice after a while? is it a creative decision or just burnout? like, timmy turner actually used to sound like a 10 year old boy and not a 4 year old brat once. same with bart simpson.
-
also is it just me or does spongebob's laugh not sound the same anymore? it sounds more like "naw-yaw-yaw" instead of "DAYAYAYA". i feel like the laugh stands out more when its higher and louder, but it sounds a bit subdued now and not as expressive. i dont know. maybe theyre trying to make it less annoying, but the point of the laugh was to be annoying.

weird but cool dream:
i dreamt i was at some kind of airport or mall with a couple of friends and a couple of office chairs. We had sit in these office chairs and use them to reach the end of the hall in a certain amount of time, while avoiding running into people. seems easy? but this hallway was HUGE and VERY LONG (these hallways were kinda curvy too, but they were really wide so they weren't like tight curves). The floors were smooth and icy too.
it was also a short amount of time we had to reach the end. and for some reason when we went rolling, we would go at breakneck speed. It was weird because we had to turn and slow down at just the right time (without coming to a complete halt) because it wasn't instantaneous like in a video game. another weird thing was the fact that the hallways themselves were only crowded at the sides. People were waiting next to the walls, but the middle was totally free, except for when a few people occasionally walked across the middle to block us. So it wasn't like they were actually shopping/waiting but they were an audience trying to create challenge by becoming the obstacles.
And for some reason I wasn't using my feet to move this thing, only when I needed to turn. This chair is telekinetic! In fact, I don't think I caused any of this speed. To avoid hitting people, I have to put my feet on the icy cold floor (but gently to slow down, not to stop immediately. i had to keep moving, it was a race). And then I had to paddle away from their direction. you're kinda forced to slow down a bit because you're kinda breaking the flow of the chair with your feet. And when you lift your feet, the chair speeds right back up. Maybe this airport/mall is seated tilting on top of a mountain?
Eventually it got faster and more people started walking across the hall. I was traveling at uncomfortable speeds trying not to crash into people but it was fun. It felt very video gamey.
So putting these things together, imagine a 3d game, kind of like an autoscroller where you have no influence of your speed going forward (except when you try to turn you kinda slow down), and you only have to focus on avoiding obstacles and turning. except the floor is like ice and the controls are like a tanks controls. the moment you see an obstacle pop up away in the distance, press left or right because it will take forever for you to actually move out of the way. it's like a bad game.

Is Tom King the best writer on post-movie spongebob? His episodes seem to be the most consistent in quality. Tom's episodes range from being "Krusty Towers, Krabs a la Modes, The Slumber Partys and Wishing You Wells at best, to being Pest of the Wests and Whale of a Birthdays at worst (episodes that are not that bad in my opinion)
Every one of his episodes, barring a few exceptions, are at least decent IMO. And most, if not all of the other writers have written at least a good amount of bad episodes (and some writers constantly writing awful ones). But not Tom.

is the mighty b theme song not the worst theme song you've ever heard?
