January to March
After the revival of SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune, it became a weekly game again, and became as popular as SpongeBob Jeopardy!. On January 20, 2016, the Shoutbox got an update. On the weekend of January 29, 2016, a mini-forum event happened to celebrate SpongeCraft's one year anniversary, called SpongeCraft Anniversary. Octerror Fest 2016 started October 14th, 2016 and ended October 31st, 2016, containing a teams tournament that everyone could play in, which the Drasticals won.
November to December
The Golden Community Awards IX started November 5th, 2016, hosted by JCM. Fred Rechid became a Cashier on November 11, 2016, following Patty Sponge's resignation. Customer Appreciation Weekend returned, lasting from November 25th-27th, 2016. Snowcember Ball 2016 started December 9th and ended December 29th; much like Octerror Fest, it contains a teams tournament everyone could play in. In the end, the Drasticals won. On December 25th, 2016, for SBC's Christmas present, the Homepage got an upgrade with the public release of the Capsules and Wallpapers features.
