Help me Choose These

Okie, so, I'm doing this little drawing series based on the commentary Tom Kenny once said about Stephen Hillenburg being inspired on the 7 Deadly Sins to create the SpongeBob characters. It's gonna be 7 individual drawings. One for each character/sin.

If you guys remember, Wumbo made a topic related to this not so long ago. Here

In the article he read they put it as:

- Sandy for Pride

- Squidward for Wrath

- Gary for Gluttony

- SpongeBob for Lust

- Plankton for Envy

- Patrick for Sloth

- Mr. Krabs for Greed

Now, I don't 100% agree with these. I much rather do Gary for Sloth and Patrick for Gluttony. I'm certain about Mr. Krabs for Greed and Sandy for Pride (although Pride can also be described as Vanity, which Squidwrad fits perfectly)

Wrath can fit Plankton as well as Squidward can fit for Envy. And SpongeBob for Lust is what I doubt the most..while it may even be easy and fun to draw it, IDK if it fits as much.

Anyway, what am I asking you guys is your opinions of what sin better fits each character.

If you're not so sure what each sin means, here's a little breakdown:

-Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.

-Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation.

-Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.

-Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.

-Wrath is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Anger.

-Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.

-Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.

Well, Patrick seems to fit Gluttony more since he eats a lot, and Gary is more like Sloth since he is usually seen sleeping.

Sandy does seem to fit Pride since she's very confident in her inventive and athletic skills, and strength.

Squidward fits Wrath a lot more since he spurns everyday life while Plankton goes more for envy due to his hatred of the Krusty Krab being a more successful restaurant than his own.

SpongeBob...can actually fit Lust when you think about it. He has a love for everything and everyone no matter how awful it may be, and can easily embrace life with compassion and love (such as krabby patties)

Pride - It can apply to Squidward, since he takes WAY too much pride in his artwork and clarinet-playing, but it could also apply to SpongeBob, since he takes so much pride in his fry-cooking job (I mean, really?).

Envy - More likely applies to Plankton, since he is very envious of Mr. Krabs being so successful and actually getting customers, but it could also apply to Squidward, since he strives so much to be a well-known artist.

Gluttony - Can apply to Patrick, since he's so fat and eats like a slob. Mr. Krabs can be a bit glutinous as well.

Lust - Not sure about this one. May apply to any character, really.

Wrath - Definitely Plankton, since, well, he's so evil. Mr. Krabs is also guilty of this. Sandy sure showed this in "SpongeBob, Sandy, and The Worm."

Greed - Mr. Krabs. 'Nuff said.

Sloth - Not sure if this would apply to Gary, but it may very well apply to Patrick since he's so lazy.

I don't agree with Spongebob being lustful. Hidden message? But considering there aren't any characters who fit that, it makes sense. And considering that Patrick won an award for doing nothing longer than anything else, Sloth makes sense for him. 428899.gif

I still think SpongeBob fits Lust, better than any other character.

The thing is, he seems to be more of a G-rated version of Lust. It is shown through SpongeBob's love and admiration for everyone and everything. Plus he has a strong love and craving for krabby patties to the point where he actually dated one once!

That's SpongeBob's version of Lust for you.
