Season 1:

Spoiler

1. The Krusty Train (Pilot)

When the Krusty Krab is in finance trouble, Mr. Krabs needs to find a new way to bring in money. After his hotel and hospital ideas failed, he is reluctant to try something new. But when he hears a statistic that trains are most people's favorite form of transportation and that they make tons of money every year, he decides to give it a try. When he tells Squidward and Spongebob about it the next day, Squidward is excited to be able to travel for his job, but Spongebob is disappointed that he will be away from Bikini Bottom so often. Mr. Krabs cheers him up by telling him that he will come back all the time. Mr. Krabs decides that Spongebob will be the cook and Squidward will be the waiter. Mr. Krabs asks a former navy pilot and a good friend of his named Lenny to be the conductor of the train and he accepts. But the train still needs a ticket puncher. When a joyful swordfish named Quinn enters the Krusty Krab and overhears this conversation, he asks if he can have the job and Mr. Krabs gives it to him. The construction of the train goes very well and it turns out fairly fancy (making Squidward even happier) After a week of preparation, Spongebob says goodbye to all his friends and the crew departs Bikini Bottom.

2. Vaga-Bonding

Spongebob misses Patrick and all of his friends as soon as he leaves, but him and Quinn become good friends quickly because they are both always in a good mood, irritating Squidward slightly. Spongebob begins to like it more and more, especially since fish that he knows ride the train frequently, but he still feels a little bit of emptiness. But when he goes to get some patties in the back car of the train, he hears something move so he goes to see what it is. He finds an old, hungry fish hiding behind some boxes. The fish asks Spongebob to please not kick him out, but Spongebob says that he had no intention. The fish introduces himself as Zed, a homeless fish who snuck on to the back of the train when it departed. Spongebob gets him some krabby patties and a bed for him. Spongebob promises to help Zed make sure Mr. Krabs never finds out about him.

3. A Little More Conversation

While Quinn is punching tickets on his first day of work, he gets into a conversation with a marlin named Kendra and they both really like each other quickly. Quinn wants to ask her out so he asks for help from Spongebob. At the same time, Kendra who knows Spongebob from Bikini Bottom, asks for his help as well. Spongebob tells them to both write a note to the the person telling them to meet a table which Spongebob reserves for them. But Spongebob has no idea that they are talking about each other so he reserves separate tables! They both leave dining area feeling disappointed. After Kendra gets off at her stop the next day, Quinn decides he doesn't have anything to hide so he tells Spongebob it was her. Spongebob is confused for a couple hours before he finally understands what happened. So he tells Quinn and it cheers him up at first, but he realizes that it's too late. But when Mr. Krabs overhears the conversation, he secretly finds Kendra's contact information from when she stayed, explains the mishap, and she gets tickets for the next time the Krusty Train passes Bikini Bottom.

4. Caribbean Commotion

When the train stops in the Caribbean, Spongebob & Quinn are greeted with great hospitality by the villagers. They have a night-time party with amazing cuisine. Spongebob brings some to Zed who is extremely grateful. Quinn begins to learn how to surf. Meanwhile, Mr. Krabs enjoys having an empty train all to himself. Squidward sight-sees and tries to experience some of the culture by staying in a really nice hotel. He also finds out that Lenny, has a huge appreciation for the arts. But when it's time for the train to depart again, Squidward is in so much paradise he can't leave. Everyone tries to help him, but he refuses to go back to the train. They start to think that Squidward might be in some kind of trance so Quinn stabs him with his sword (nose) and he snaps out of it. He leaves as soon as possible when everyone tells him what happened. At the end of the episode, guests are being hypnotized by a giant screen. Mr. Krabs sees it and considers using it as a business strategy but is talked out of it by Spongebob.

5. The Smell of Chum

Quinn is suspicious when he starts to smell something funny in the train so he gets Mr. Krabs and Spongebob to help find out what it is. They find a small compartment in a vacant car with none other than Plankton! He is trying to sell chum burgers to the guests on the train since a lot of them don't know about his bad reputation in Bikini Bottom. Convinced that Plankton will try to steal the Krabby Patty formula, Mr. Krabs throws Plankton off the train. (We switch to Plankton's view) After Plankton is thrown off the train, he manages to grab hold of a window and climb back on. He hears two shady fish talking about some sort criminal plot. He dismisses it and tries to find a place to stay on the train. He finds Zed's car and Zed lets him stay as long as he doesn't tell Mr. Krabs that he is staying there and Plankton says the same thing. Plankton goes to sleep that night with the strange conversation still on his mind.

6. Lennying A Hand

After seeing how much of an appreciation that Squidward has for Art, Lenny decides to show him his personal art which he created during the war. Squidward is amazed by how incredible his work is and asks if Lenny will be his mentor and Lenny agrees. Squidward catches on quickly but is worried that his unique style is being lost as he tries to follow Lenny's advice so he decides to create a piece of abstract art to remind himself of his style and he realizes how much it has improved. Lenny says that that was exactly what he wanted Squidward to do all along. Meanwhile, Zed & Plankton, being so different from each other, try to start some sort of conversation.

7. The Village Fish

After three or four days in the open ocean, the Krusty Train reaches the coast of Africa and Quinn is excited to try to use his Afro-Asiatic Language translation book to talk to the villagers. Quinn, Spongebob, & Squidward all get off the train to experience the culture and Quinn attempts to get into a conversation with the villagers. They are greeted with great hospitality. (Or so they think) With a party going on, it seems like all is going well, but Quinn's misunderstanding of the language actually caused the villagers to want to eat them and the party was actually a ritual. With the three about to be sacrificed to an African God and Squidward's sarcastic remarks not helping, Quinn uses his sword to cut the ropes and escape, but the villagers vow revenge (From what Quinn can tell from his translation book)

8. Big Top

Zed is tired of his daily routine and he wants to do something different, but he knows that if he isn't careful, then Mr. Krabs will find about about him living there and throw him off the train. After thinking long and hard, he decides he wants to climb on top of the train! As scared as he is, it feels amazing to feel fresh air after such a long time cramped up in the cargo. Zed completely forgets the potential danger and feels happy. He imagines himself doing various things on the top of the train. But when Spongebob walks in to talk to Zed and he isn't there, he isn't sure what to do. Spongebob knows he can't let Mr. Krabs know. As he considering getting off the train to look for Zed, Plankton shouts as Spongebob's conscience to let him know that everything is fine and if he comes back in an hour, Zed will be back. Spongebob believes it and leaves. Plankton lets Zed know that he has to come back down and when Spongebob comes back, Zed is back and excitedly tells Spongebob the story.

9. The M.C.C

The M.C.C (Mind Control Criminals) and their leader are making plans in their secret base in Downtown Rock Bottom. Their current goal is to sabotage the Krusty Train in any way possible. Two of their men had already scoped out the train undercover (They were the ones that Plankton overheard) and the M.C.C are just about ready to put the plans into action. A bug was planted by the two members in the train that will take care of everything planned. (The camera shows the view of the bug througout the train) As soon as the time is right, the Krusty Train will have no idea what's going on.

Plankton notices the bug planted by the M.C.C and doesn't do anything, but begins to get suspicious after he had already overheard the strange men. But he doesn't want to risk letting anyone know in fear of being discovered by Mr. Krabs. He also begins to question his role as a villain.

10. English Sea Part 1 - The Arrival

The Krusty Train makes a wrong turn while it is in the English Channel and they accidentally pass under a boat bridge which ends up closing and leaving them trapped. Squidward tells everyone that they must be in Scotland by the sound of bagpipes and lots of castles for houses, but they don't quite know where in Scotland. The only one that knows is Zed in the back of the train because he has a close encounter with a very large sea creature passing by his car. But he can't tell anyone because Spongebob isn't there and he would give away his cover by leaving his car to let everyone know that they are right in the middle of Loch Ness! Zed is getting sick of trying to hide himself all the time and tries to think of a way to reveal himself without getting kicked off the train. Back in the front of the train, Mr. Krabs has the train stop to try to find out when the bridge will open again. He finds an English fish named Xavier who tells them that it won't open until tomorrow, but he offers to let them stay in his castle. Quinn is very excited about this because he has always wanted to spend a night in a castle.

11. English Sea Part 2 - Zed's Last Stand

When Spongebob comes to let Zed know that they are spending the night in a castle, he has had it. He refuses to let everyone have a great experience except for him. After Spongebob leaves, he shaves and dresses as nice as he possible can and leaves his car. He walks straight up to Mr. Krabs and tells him the whole story of him hitching a ride on the train exactly how it happened. After the story, he asks Mr. Krabs if he can have a job to make up for everything and to see if he can stay. Spongebob, Quinn, and Squidward stand behind them with shocked looks on their face. Mr. Krabs looks like he is going to explode, but he doesn't. Instead, he tells Zed that he can stay! But he has to be the dish washer, not get paid, and stay where he is currently sleeping. Zed is just happy that he doesn't have to cover for himself anymore and hopes that eventually he will get promoted if he does a good job. Spongebob invites him to come into the castle with them and he is overjoyed.

12. English Sea Part 3 - The Castle

Spongebob, Quinn, Squidward, and finally Zed go into the castle where Xavier invited him to stay the night. Squidward is amazed by all of the artwork and sculptures that fill the room and Quinn is looking around for secret passages. Zed is just excited to be able to be on an adventure with them and Spongebob is excited, but is just waiting for something bad to happen. As Xavier is showing them their rooms, they notice that Quinn is gone! Xavier says that their are lots of secret passages in his castle and Quinn probably found one. (Switch to Quinn's point of view) He had just pulled a book out of a staircase and next thing he knew, he was in a library. Rather than freak out, he looks for even more secret areas. (Back to the others) Spongebob and Zed go looking for Quinn. Squidward just explores the castle a little bit more. Spongebob and Zed find secret staircases, hallways blocked by paintings, and much more. Eventually, they are having so much fun that they forget about Quinn! (In a classic cartoon-like scene, the 3 keep passing each other without knowing it) Eventually, they all run into each other, but have no idea where they are. Meanwhile, Squidward knows that he shouldn't touch anything, but he does anyway and nearly falls through a trap door. He starts to walk away as if he never was there, but hears voices from the bottom. Spongebob, Quinn, and Zed are down there! He finds Xavier who gets a rope and pulls them up. He says that that's enough "Exploring" for a day, and they should all go to bed.

13. English Sea Part 4 - Mysterious Waters

Zed wakes up with a shock in the middle of the night. As he hears sounds coming from the hallway, he remembers that he never told everyone that they were in Loch Ness and he had a close encounter with the legendary Loch Ness Monster. He also remembers that Loch Ness castles are known for being haunted! He bravely gets out of his bed and peaks outside the door only to see a transparent, floating figure pass around a corner. He figures it best to not wake anyone up and scare them, so he goes back to bed for a restless night sleep. In the morning, Zed tells everyone what happened. Quinn is excited but Spongebob and Squidward are nervous. They decide to thank Xavier and go straight back to the train. But Xavier is nowhere to be found and the front door is locked from the outside. Zed says to forget being polite, he leaves through the window and the others follow. As if things can't get worse, the Loch Ness Monster is sitting right in front of them. While Spongebob, Squidward, and Zed are ready to be eaten with their eyes closed, nothing happens. They look over to see Quinn petting the monster. After Quinn says something to it, he signals everyone to go back to the train. He tells Mr. Krabs to leave as soon as possible. Nessie opens the drawbridge for them and they finally get out of the crazy place. From the top of the castle, Xavier smiles.

Season 2:

Spoiler

14. The Boys are Back in Town

The Krusty Train pulls up to Bikini Bottom after it's first journey and Spongebob is really excited to see Patrick again and to introduce him to Quinn and Zed. He has trouble after everyone in town wants to say hello to him, but he finds Patrick eventually. He hadn't really been doing anything different while Spongebob was gone, so they go jellyfishing just like old times. Kendra gets on the train looking for Quinn after the misunderstanding when they first met. When Quinn comes back he asks her out knowing that that was what he should have done in the first place. Squidward is in paradise since he left Bikini Bottom so he isn't that excited to get back. The only thing he does is go to his house to get some things he forgot. Eventually, the Krusty Train has to leave and Spongebob says goodbye to Patrick and plenty of others. Some Bikini Bottom residents do get on the train at this stop though.

Note: The fish getting on the train at this stop were Harold, Nancy, Old Man Jenkins, and Nat.

15. Nervous & Thrilled

Quinn and Kendra are both extremely nervous for their date. Spongebob promises them both that everything will be perfect, but he promised that last time and they both sat alone at different tables thinking that they'd been stood up. Since the circumstances are different this time, they hesitantly let Spongebob help. And surprisingly enough, their date goes fantastic. The food is great, they are talking a lot, and Squidward wasn't being a good waiter so Spongebob replaced him and did an excellent job. Quinn is thrilled when he learns that she will be staying for the entire trip until the next Bikini Bottom stop. And while they are both nervously awaiting for something bad to happen, nothing does. For once, everything turned out perfect. But only for that day, they don't know what will happen tomorrow.

16. The Great Train Robbery

Plankton sees a strange looking bug roaming the Krusty Train. Meanwhile, a commotion in the breakfast car in the train attracts Spongebob's attention. Nancy claims that she was robbed in the middle of the night of all the money she had. Spongebob tells Mr. Krabs and he says that she probably just misplaced it, but later in the day, Harold claims that all of his money has been stolen as well. Mr. Krabs finally calls a detective to come and investigate after more cases occur throughout the day. Detective Kal shows up and suggests that he and the workers search every room. In Nat's room, they find a hidden bag loaded with money. Nat claims he has no idea where it came from, but a fingerprint test reveals that it was him that had hands on the money. He is taken off the train by police and sent to the Bikini Bottom prison.

17. New Evidence

Everyone thinks that the Krusty Train will be fine after the burglar was arrested, so they let their guard down. The robberies continue and Detective Kal is sure that Nat must have an accomplice to steal more money. Another search through the rooms provide nothing so security cameras are placed in random places in the train. The next day, footage clearly reveals Old Man Jenkins pick-pocketing a guest! Spongebob insists to Kal that Jenkins is no criminal, but when the evidence is shown to the police, he is arrested just like Nat. But all of the stolen money is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, in Rock Bottom, the head of the M.C.C smiles because he is thrilled that everything in the plan is working perfectly.

18. Plankton's Choice

The day after the robberies, no more occur which make Nat and Old Man Jenkins look even more guilty. After the hectic day, Plankton really feels like he should say something about the mechanical bug that he saw. He thinks that something fishy is going on and if someone is going to ruin Krab's business, it has to be him and not anyone else. He asks Zed to go and tell Mr. Krabs and make up an excuse about who he heard it from. When Zed finds Mr. Krabs, he is talking to Detective Kal. Zed tells them what Plankton told him and Kal quickly dismisses it as nothing. He says it was probably a mistake and he doesn't see how it could have anything to do with any of the crimes. Zed is a little bit suspicious of how fast the detective was to debunk any possible theory. He goes back to Plankton and tells him what happened. Plankton knows that if he is going to get any credibility, he is going to have to tell Krabs himself and that means risking being thrown off the train. After thinking long and hard, he decides to approach Krabs, whose first instinct is to grab Plankton, but he listens to what he has to say. Krabs says that he'll let Plankton stay on the train for the time being just in case he's telling the truth, but if he tries anything he will get thrown off. Plankton goes back to his car and actually feels great having done a good deed.

19. Snowbound

With all of the commotion going on lately, the workers on the Krusty Train haven't had much time for fun and completely lost track of where they were! After a bad snowstorm stops the train, they realize that they are off the coast of Antarctica. They get off of the train and it's freezing, but it reminds Spongebob of winter in Bikini Bottom so he shows Quinn, Zed, and Kendra all of the things that can be done in the snow. Squidward actually helps after remembering how much fun he had in the snowball fight back home. After building snowmen and having a snowball fight, Spongebob is trying to think of something he hasn't done before that might be fun, when they run into two penguins who teach them how to ice-slide! Meanwhile, Mr. Krabs and Lenny shovel the snow away from the train. (Unsuccessfully) The snow just keeps piling back up, irritating them a lot. Eventually, the train is mobile again. Everyone gets back on the train after saying goodbye to the penguins, who they hope to see again on another trip.

20. Suspicious Minds

When a teen fish boards the Krusty Train in the middle of the ocean, the crew is a little bit suspicious. When Quinn tries to talk to him about where he lives and what he does, he always changes the subject. Whenever Spongebob asks him if he wants something to eatm he says that he isn't hungry. And he always seems to be hiding something when someone runs into him. But when Spongebob sees the strange fish meet Zed, they hit it off quickly. Spongebob asks Zed what that was all about and Zed says that the kid has been living on the streets for a while and wanted some pointers. Later, Spongebob and Quinn spy on him to try to find out why he is on the train if he is homeless. He seems to be a pretty normal guy, but at the end of the day he comes up to them and asks why they are spying on him. They deny it at first but eventually admit it and ask him why he was acting so strange. He admits that he didn't have any money and snuck onto the train with the rest of the passengers boarding at his stop. Relieved that that was all it was, Spongebob and Quinn go to bed in peace.

21. Ghost Train Part 1

Various guests complain to Mr. Krabs about hearing something strange in their room. Mr. Krabs doesn't really care as long as he's getting paid, but he figures that while Detective Kal is on the job, he might as well have something to do. That night, Squidward and Quinn are cleaning up the dining cart. A plate breaks and Squidward blames Quinn, but Quinn says he wasn't anywhere near the plate. The tables and furniture start shaking and they get out of the room as soon as they can. In the back car, Zed and Plankton are awoken by gusts of wind. Zed gets up to close the window and finds out that it is already closed. The four are talking about their experience when Spongebob and Kendra walk over. Spongebob says that they should all be like the Ghostbusters and find the ghost! They ask Lenny if he's had any experience with ghosts and he breaks into a long story of an occurrence in the Navy. The whole thing was a prank by Mr. Krabs. That gives Plankton the idea that this might be a prank too and they should explore the train at night to try to find anything strange.

22. Ghost Train Part 2

After waiting all day, Spongebob, Squidward, Zed, Quinn, Plankton, and Kendra start to explore the train at midnight for any signs of a ghost. It's dead silent and they are all secretly scared to death. They hear a noise coming from a few cars up. Squidward slowly opens the door and a shadowy figure is standing right in front of them! Kendra jumps into Quinn's arms which he is thrilled about. The figure is only Detective Kal who says he is also looking for the ghost. They all search the train thoroughly but can't find anything of relevance. As they are all about to go back to bed, a transparent figure floats across the hallway and frightens all of them, even Kal. The ghost turns around and smiles at them, then disappears. They all rush to their cars and have a lot of trouble sleeping. The next day, Squidward tells the guests everything which makes them want to leave and that makes Mr. Krabs really mad so he puts Squidward on Dish Washer duty. Meanwhile, Plankton is troubled after he swears he saw the strange mechanical spider from weeks before peeking out of Detective Kal's pocket the night before.

23. Great Barrier Reef!

Deciding to take a break from all of the strange happenings on the train, the gang (Spongebob, Quinn, Zed, Kendra, Squidward, & Plankton) get off near Australia to pay a visit to the Great Barrier Reef and it is one of the most amazing things that any of them have ever seen. The water is clear, the coral is beautiful, and sea turtles can be seen everywhere. Mr. Krabs and Lenny watch them all from afar and are tempted to go have fun with them. Spongebob invited them earlier, but they denied. Lenny, who loves the arts, is astounded by the scenery. He talks it over with Mr. Krabs and they finally decide to come. It pays off because they have a great time by doing something different for once. While they are there, everyone feels happy and they actually forget bad memories from their past. They decide to take a ride down an extremely fast current and have the time of their life. They also meet all kinds of exotic sea creatures that they've never seen before. Even though they are disappointed to have to finally leave, they are refreshed and relieved to have one of the first relaxing days in a long time.

24. Behind the M.C.C.

The episode begins with a flashback of Eugene Krabs and his friend Mac during war from a long time ago. Eugene is in the Navy and Mac helps build weapons to help the war. They are running from soldiers on the enemy's lines after an attempted technology theft to give them the advantage. Eugene and Mac aren't assigned for the mission but they want to return as heroes. As they are running, Mac trips on a rock and is trampled by the soldiers. Eugene looks back and keeps running.

Back in the headquarters of the M.C.C., Mac knows that Krabs thinks he's dead. He would've been if his quick thinking hadn't allowed him to escape, even under his terribly week position at the time. Krabs hadn't gone back to save him, he only cared about protecting those plans. But now he would pay. Krabs achieved so much after the war was over, but Mac only rehabilitated in a hospital for an entire year with barely anyone knowing he survived the incident. During that time, he got smarter and gained men to help him. He'd waited for the perfect opportunity to get his revenge. Recently, Krabs was stupid enough to begin a railroad business, one of the easiest businesses to sabotage. Everything was going according to plan so far:

Two of his men boarded the train and let loose a mechanical spider that he had total control over. It allowed him to control the mind of anyone who he chose. The plan was so simple. Mac planted the spider inside Nat and got him to rob a couple people. Then he destroyed the spider to get rid of any hints. That left the perfect opportunity for one of his best men, Kal to pose as a detective and bring more spiders with him. Krabs would gladly trust a detective and allow him to do just about anything without being suspected. Again, the plan worked. Kal tricked Old Man Jenkins into eating one of the spiders. All Mac did was have the stupid old man steal something in front of a surveillance cam. Under Mac's control, Nat and Jenkins both gave the money to Kal before they were arrested and given back their own control. It was perfect because it gave the M.C.C. tons of money and gave Krabs a bad reputation. And not a thing was suspected. That wasn't the only crime committed to get people to stop riding the train. The accidental turn into Loch Ness about a month ago was no accident. The track was changed to put the Krusty Train off course and lure them to another trusted M.C.C. member, Xavier. Xavier kidnapped the owner of a famous haunted mansion and lured the train crew to spend the night there. While most of the crew searched through all the secret passages and trap doors, Squidward was left alone. Xavier took control of him and got him to take a real ghost onto the train the next morning through new technology invented by Mac. Yes, everything was going according to plan. And the biggest scheme of all is about to take place.

25. Murder on the Krusty Train! (Part 1)

Quinn and Kendra were in the middle of a date. Zed and Plankton were having a conversation about Plankton's suspicion of Detective Kal. Squidward was sleeping. Lenny was managing the train. Spongebob was cooking Krabby Patties. Mr. Krabs was counting the money he made that very day. Detective Kal was watching anxiously as the puppet got ready to finish the job. In the office of the M.C.C, Mac is nervously directing plan and hoping for the best. Harold, the innocent Bikini Bottom citizen was under his control and the knife was in his hand. Mac didn't know who the victim was but it didn't matter. The most important thing was to make Krabs look bad and get his beloved train closed. He would lose all his precious money as his greed would backfire on his own corruption. In the train, Spongebob witnessed it himself. The moment he walked into that cold, dark room and saw his own friend commit the crime to a total stranger. Harold insists to Officer Nancy that he didn't do anything wrong, but Spongebob says that he saw it with his own two eyes. Harold used to be a regular Krusty Krab customer and no criminal. But something was wrong. Nat, Old Man Jenkins, and Harold all commited a crime after the boarded the train about a month ago. Was there some sort of plot going on between the citizens of Bikini Bottom? Meanwhile, Plankton knows that Kal is behind this somehow and he isn't going to escape.

26. Murder on the Krusty Train! (Part 2)

Nat, Old Man Jenkins, and Harold sit in their jail cell and talk about what they are in for. Nat and Jenkins say robbery. Harold says murder which shakes up the other two a little bit. The one thing they all have in common is that they have no memory of committing these crimes. They also all entered the train in Bikini Bottom. In fact, there was only one fish who got on at that stop that wasn't arrested. Nancy. The 3 guys realize that something suspicious is going on and that they have to protect Nancy before something happens to her.

Perch Perkins is interviewing Nancy, who is only person to enter the Krusty Train at Bikini Bottom and not commit a crime. She insists that there isn't any BB Crime Raid going on as far as she knows and that she was friends with all 3 of the arrested citizens. Perch wants to get the stories from all the cast members that were on the train at the time of the attack. Quinn and Kendra say that they were in the middle of a date when they heard a man scream. Squidward says that he was rudely awakened by the noise. Lenny and Mr. Krabs both say they didn't hear anything because they were focusing on their jobs. Only Spongebob saw the crime and is still extremely startled. Zed and Plankton provide the most valuable information though. They were having a conversation specifically about the earlier crimes when this one occurred. Plankton tells authorities about the strange mechanical bug running around in the train and the suspicion he had of Detective Kal. But wait, where is Detective Kal?

The spider crawled near Nancy. What crime should she commit? It would need to be something original that wouldn't make anyone suspect mind control. Mac steered the spider toward her leg, but the screen he is using goes blank. The plan by the M.C.C. for the first has been thwarted. The mechanical spider was stepped on by Old Man Jenkins.

Season 3:

Spoiler

27. Arrested Development

After a long trip around the world, the train finally arrives at Bikini Bottom. After Detective Kal was caught operating a mind control bug, he was arrested and sang like a bird. How was Mr. Krabs so easily fooled into letting this criminal onto his train? He would have gotten away with it if it weren't for Old Man Jenkins, Nat, and Harold breaking out of prison. Thank goodness the police realized the situation and let them free without any sentence. Hopefully this would be the last of who Kal called "The M.C.C." Mr. Krabs isn't sure if he should let any Bikini Bottom citizens on the train, just in case it isn't the last of them. But at least their money's good!

Kendra needs to get off the train and leave Quinn which they are both disappointed about, but she promises to come back on the next round of the train. Zed yells for Quinn to just kiss her already and he does. Meanwhile, Spongebob eagerly awaits to see which of his friends will come on to the train this time. The first is Evelyn who he hasn't seen in months. The second is Lou, his favorite store clerk! And Scooter gets on to head to the National Surfing Championship. And last on the train is...Patrick! And he is going to stay for the entire trip! Wait until Spongebob could tell Squidward the good news.

28. Hide, Seek, & Not Find

To celebrate Patrick boarding the train, Spongebob wants to play Hide & Seek with all of his friends. Everyone decides to play. (Except for Squidward who is still in shock from Patrick's surprise entrance) Spongebob is excited because there are so many great places to hide on the Krusty Train and Patrick was always a master at the game. After they start, Spongebob finds Quinn and Zed after a while of looking. He is also excited to find Lenny (Who actually wasn't even playing) in the front of the train. Even though Plankton is small, Spongebob doesn't have much trouble finding him because of all his experience looking for him in the Krusty Krab. He only has to find Patrick, but is having a great deal of trouble. Eventually, he asks everyone else to help look but they can't find him either, even after calling his name to say they give up. At night, Squidward breaks out of his shock and and goes into his room. He finds Patrick sleeping in his bed. Patrick wakes up and says, "Squidward! I thought you weren't playing!" Squidward faints and the episode ends.

29. Coral Beach

The Krusty Train stops at the National Surfing Championships in Coral Beach, Scooter's stop. Everyone decides to get off as well and support him. Squidward wants to stay inside and sleep until he sees how beatiful the place is. Quinn, who has surfing expierience decides to enter himself. Scooter is feeling really good until he finds out that JKL is one of the judges. As a big fan, he doesn't want to embarass himself and choke under the pressure. But after some convincing, he decides that he will give remain in the competition and give it his best shot. There are 50 surfers entered. In the first round, the last 20 to survive the giant wave move on to the second round. Quinn and Scooter both survive the first cut. In the second round, the riders must use a wave as an advantage to cross the finish line. The first 5 to cross it move on to the finals. Scooter finishes second. And Quinn misses the cut. Afterwords he says that he is proud to make it as far as he did. The final round is a judged trick competition. This is the one that Scooter is the most nervous for. Despite that, he gives one a great run. But it only wins him second behind Dominic Dolphin. JKL approaches him later and says that he has nothing to be ashamed of and that he had a lot more passion than Dominic. On that note, Scooter makes a commitment to do even better in the future. Everyone congragulates him on doing so well. They are about to get back on the train and get rolling, but Zed is missing.

30. Lost

After smelling that delicious food, Zed couldn't help but to follow it. It was his hobo insticts he'd been trying to abandon. Eventually, the scent dissapears but he finds that he's lost sight of all his friends and the Krusty Train. He decides that the best thing to do is just wait there, but after time starts to pass he gets nervous. It is getting kind of dark he is hearing strange noises. Red eyes begin to show up all around him. Terrified, he closes his eyes. In a few minutes he decides to peek, but the sounds and eyes were only Water Monkeys. They carry him to a hidden area with a waterfall and lots of food assuming that he is their leader. He gets used to it and relaxes until the smell from before comes back. He follows it and stands face to face with a dark figure.

31. The Hobo Brigade

Mac, the leader of the M.C.C. finally found and kidnapped Zed. The police were completely prepared for more of the same devious acts, so it was time to mix it up and catch them off guard. This was one of the best ways to sabotage Krabs. The time that he will spend trying to find Zed will take away from his train schedule and distract him from anything else. Now to make the customers aware. No one knows how he is missing yet, so some sort of scare will keep customers off and run Krabs out of business. Mac explains all this to Zed and lets him know that there isn't any way out. Zed insists that his friends will find him somehow, but he feels skeptical. Everything now made even more sense after the original crime raid on the Krusty Train. Zed knows he's clever and will be able to find a way out of this.

Meanwhile, the Krusty crew has been looking for a long time and they have to start moving again soon as they are already massively behind schedule. Mr. Krabs reports the incident to police as that is all he can do for now. They re-enter the train, but find something suspicious. A window is broken. They look on the floor to find a message in a bottle. It reads: Guests will continue to be kidnapped as long as the Krusty Train remains in business. Mr. Krabs is stunned and has no idea what to do. He can't close the train, but he'll be shut down anyway if this does happen.

Back in The M.C.C. headquarters, Mac goes to the control room assured that Zed has no way of escaping. But Zed is determined to find a way out to let Mr. Krabs know everything. The problem is, even if he managed to escape the building, he has no idea where he is or where to go. Nonetheless, he goes through a long action sequence, avoiding guards, finding secret passages, and tracing where to go next. All lessons that he learned from all of his days on the streets. He knows that if the M.C.C. can go in and out, there must be a way. He remembers all of the technology. If Mac has managed to be this reclusive and build so many machines, he must be really smart and therefore create some sort of indirect route. As he is thinking and walking, he stumbles into a strange device. After an odd feeling, he finds himself outside the building. Now it's time to find the Krusty Train.

32. Moving On

Mr. Krabs, already way behind schedule, is forced to give up the search for Zed and leave it to the police. Spongebob says that he's confident that Zed will manage to escape from whoever kidnapped him and find his way back. But that isn't Mr. Krab's main concern. Whoever did this is threatening to kidnap guests. The train gets going despite all these concerns. Meanwhile, Plankton has officially decided what to do. After all the years of failure, it is finally time to give up the criminal business and reconcile with Krabs. Zed was really Plankton's only friend and now he's gone. Plankton goes into Mr. Krab's office to have a long talk with them. Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, & Quinn are trying to listen in from outside which doesn't look good when Mr. Krabs finally opens the door. After they laugh it off, a scream is heard from farther down the train.

After Zed escaped the M.C.C. headquarters, he was forced to take another train to try to find the Krusty Train faster. Luckily, he has the train intformation with him so he knows where the next stop is. Hopefully it isn't too late to stop the M.C.C. from kidnapping someone else. But he doesn't have a very good feeling about it. And on top of it, since Mac was so sure a hobo couldn't find a way out and spilled the whole plan, he would surely be after him now. He is in a lose-lose situation and until he can reach the Krusty Train, there isn't a way out of it.

33. Dangerous Beauty

Zed bursts through the train and everyone starts asking him questions to find out what happens. But through mob, he just needs to find Mr. Krabs before it is too late. He finally manages to get to his office and tells him that the train is in danger and an immediate lockdown is required. But it is at a stop and Evelyn just got off to enter the fashion show that she goes too every year. The crew was planning on going to support her but with this information Mr. Krabs says that it is best to do as Zed says and lock down the train. After it seems to be secured, Zed explains to everyone about his kidnapping and who the M.C.C. is. They are all fascinated, but none more disturbed than Mr. Krabs. The memory of Mac has haunted him every day. Part of him is glad that he is alive but most of him is scared that he is out for revenge. Krabs explains the story to everyone and it ends with total silence. Breaking the silence is the sound of police sirens. Quinn goes to make sure that it is really the police. It is and he opens the door. What they have to say gives everyone a chill, Evelyn was kidnapped on her way to the Fashion Contest. Zed starts to go into panic saying that he was too late. The M.C.C. fulfilled their promise of kidnapping passengers, but this was the first Bikini Bottom-ite to be attacked. Spongebob is bothered because he knows her so well and always has. After a lot of deliberation, it is decided that the train must now keep moving, but not make any stops without maximum security. But after they start off again, they quickly go into a long, dark tunnel. And the train stops.

34. The Tunnel

The train has stopped. The lights have shut off. People are panicking.

Lenny claims that he did absolutely nothing to stop the train, it seemed to shut off all on it's own. He and Mr. Krabs are talking privately in an emergency area with backup lighting. Behind them, all of the customers are freaking out. And it is a terrible time for sightings of the infamous Krusty Train ghost to be reported. Krabs tells Lenny about Mac and that he is still alive. He also explains what Zed told him about the M.C.C. And that they are probably the ones behind what is going on right now. The emergency lighting system runs out of power, leaving them in cold darkness.

Quinn jumped into the closet as soon as the train stopped. He has no idea what's going on but his first natural instinct was to hide in case something bad was about happen. He can hear a lot of people running around, but he isn't sure if something is happening or if it is just natural panic. But then he hears mumbling from behind him that gives him a huge chill. He turns around terrified, holding a flashlight. It's Evelyn! He asks her how she got in here and she claims that a large, cloaked fish kidnapped her after she left the train. Then when he saw an opportunity to bring her on to the train. But that's impossible, the train was under lockdown. The only people let in were the police. But wait, how could they have possibly found out about Evelyn's kidnapping if the Fashion Show hadn't started yet? Unless... It's time to stop hiding before it's too late.

The M.C.C. workers need to act fast. Stealing a police officer's badge and posing as one was pure genius, Mac's idea. That stupid female fish was a perfect decoy to find a way onto the train. After that, they just cut the power cord and it would be easy from there. The one that Mac wants is Krabs, and he said to grab Lenny too since he is the only way the train will be able to keep running. And also, Mac knew Lenny as he was in the navy as well. Around them, people are scrambling but it just helps the plan. They have night vision goggles and it is a straight path to Krabs' office. But when they get there, he isn't there, he must be in the Conductor's station. No problem.

Zed and Plankton were in their room when this whole ordeal started. They tried to leave, but all of the doors locked themselves somehow. They pace around for a while wondering what to do, when Plankton remembers where the power source is. He says that he would have no problem fixing it if he could get there. So Zed looks around until he finds a small whole that Plankton could fit through. There is no guarentee that it will get him to the power system, but they agree that it is worth a shot.

Quinn is searching everywhere with his flashlight. But all of the scrambling people aren't making it easy for him. He needs to search for something, anything suspicious. Finally, he sees them. He knows it's them, it couldn't be anyone else. No one is allowed in Krabs' office, especially not creeps with night vision goggles. It's time for his old High School linebacker skills to come in handy. He runs forward as fast as he can and somehow tackles them both in one hit. Then the lights miraculously turn on and they are surrounded by everyone in the train.

Spongebob and Patrick call the real police who show up quickly and arrest the two highjackers. After a lot of interrogating, they reveal what the plan was but keep shut about where the M.C.C. headquarters are or who the leader is. Mr. Krabs knows it's Mac, but when the police ask him questions, he decides to keep quiet about his old friend being the leader. Deep inside him he understands why Mac is doing this and that it isn't too late to stop him and save him.

35. Concession Confession

Finally things are beginning to calm down. All of the commotion is over with. And with the exception of Quinn milking all of the "hero" talk about him, everything is back to normal at least for the time being. Lou, despite all of the recent events, has had quite a good vacation so far on the Krusty Train. The service has been excellent and he thinks that he experienced a rare sighting of the Krusty Train ghost. Some people may be frightened by that, but not Lou. He always found the concept of ghosts really interesting. But behind his relaxation, he is dreading something from the moment he entered the train. Yet it was the reason he did so in the first place. A couple months ago, before Spongebob left, the two of them had a bit of a falling out. After Spongebob came to the Barg'N Mart every single day and annoyed Lou with his silly stories, he just lost it after having such a bad day. He screamed at Spongebob to leave and never talk to him again. Lou didn't really mean that, but Spongebob took it in and the two haven't talked since. Lou decides to consult Squidward first, since they both have experience taking orders. He isn't much help, just saying: "One person who is lucky enough to not have Spongebob talk to him, doesn't appreciate it. Typical. If you have any common sense at all, take your luck for what it is worth." But Mr. Krabs overheard the conversation and it works perfectly for him. It's a really busy day and Spongebob and Squidward need some help with their jobs anyway. Mr. Krabs asks Lou to help for a day if he really cares about repairing his relationship with Spongebob. He has to act as a backup cook and waiter, involving a lot of multitasking. Lou is used to this for when he sold hot dogs as a vendor. But he isn't used to running back and forth. He agrees, but it doesn't work as he planned. He works so fast that he has trouble explaining to Spongebob how sorry he is. But eventually, he just decides to stop and let the customer wait for a second. Spongebob accepts the apology and Lou can go back to enjoying his vacation. He actually didn't mind being back on the job, he still has fond memories of it. If only he could be on the train all the time, it was pleasent. But more importantly, he smiled. For the first time in a long time.

36. Haunted Train

Drago remains hidden in the wall, watching all of the customers walk by. It's the infamous Krusty Train ghost's favorite holiday: Halloween. Why? Everyone automatically assumes that a ghost sighting on Halloween would be a prank so it gives him a chance to creep around and play with people's minds a little bit. He's explored the train before so he knows about all of the workers. His first target will be Quinn because he's superstitious and will probably start a big chain of events. Quinn is dressed up as a skeleton when the ghost finds him. When he pops out, the swordfish is pretty slow. It takes him a while to realize that it isn't a costume. Drago let's Quinn freak out and tell everyone. No one believes him at first obviously, so it's time for a little more fun. Squidward is asleep in a pirate outfit that looks used, when Drago finds him and nothing is waking him up, so he whispers to Spongebob and Patrick that Squidward is looking for them and they quickly go and wakes Squidward up. None of them understand who told Spongebob that, so Drago just goes behind them and simply says, "Boo." It is a great day, kids are trick or treating between rooms and he pops out from just about everywhere. People finally begin to realize that a ghost really is haunting the train. Mr. Krabs tries to stop these rumors until he sees the ghost himself. Drago calls upon the help of his old friend, The Flying Dutchman to assist him in a huge prank for the Halloween party. They lock all of the doors, leaving everyone crammed up. The two ghosts come from opposite sides and creep up toward all of the people slowly, and when they are scared a little more than half to death, they scream and project ghosts from all over the room. Then they shut off the lights and everyone screams. Then they black out. When they wake up, it feels like it was only a dream but they know that they all had it. Thanks to the Dutchman, no one remembers Drago, not well at least. So the secret is kept, but they remember the Dutchman himself very well. They are all really confused and still a little frightened. So The Dutchman sticks his head out from the roof and says, "truth is stranger than fiction" and the episode ends.

37. Just Like Old Times Part 1

It's night time and the train is headed through a really long stretch of pure dessert. Most of the customers had already gone to bed due to the lack of sightseeing as had most of the employees. Spongebob volunteered to work alone and let everyone else have some rest. (Except Patrick who wanted to tag along) A lot had been going on lately. But not everyone had fallen asleep yet. Quinn still lay in his bed wide-eyed missing Kendra more than he ever had before for some reason. He could almost feel her presence getting closer within the hour. The shift back to Bikini Bottom was coming soon so he wouldn't have to wait much longer, but he still felt especially depressed right now. He was awake for a long time, so he decided to get up. A stop was coming up. They were about to pass the dessert area. Something drew him to the front of the train and he could feel adrenaline building up inside somehow. When the door opened, he saw Kendra!

She had the same feeling as Quinn and couldn't wait to see him any longer. So even though the Bikini Bottom stop was near, she decided to fly down and time the soonest train stop to get back on. Mr. Krabs had already said he would hire her when she came back and he reluctantly stood by it, even though he would now have to pay her more than he expected. But Kendra actually has something to give Mr. Krabs something from the Bikini Bottom post office. They were worried that they wouldn't be able to get it to him in time with the train always moving through odd paths so Kenra volunteered to take it to him since she was coming anyway. The letter was addressed to both Mr. Krabs and Lenny. It was invitation to a Navy reunion! It had been a while since the two had seen their old friends. Even with all of the bad memories and contradiction coming from Mac and the M.C.C., Mr. Krabs can't help but remember so many good memories as well and go to the reunion. Luckily, the reunion is straight in their direction and no course change would need to be made at the inconvenience of the passengers. The reunion is headquartered all the way in Australia this time for a nice change in scenery. On the way there, Mr. Krabs and Lenny look at their old Navy pictures to try and re-live the moments.

38. Just Like Old Times Part 2

The train arrives in the last stop before reaching Bikini Bottom again, Australia. That is where the Navy Reunion will be held. Mr. Krabs and Lenny decide to show up way early to make sure they get a chance to talk to all of their old friends before awards are handed out and the events take off. The crew decides to head over to a famous Australian zip-line. It flies at fast speed through all of the trees and is supposed to be a lot of fun. Squidward says that he won't go, but everyone makes fun of him until he says that he isn't scared and he has no problem going. He changes his mind right before he goes, scared to death, but it's too late. He has the time of his life. Quinn and Kendra go together, making their hearts race even faster than normal. Zed holds Plankton as he speeds down extremely fast due to his weight. Spongebob and Patrick go right after one another and have a lot of fun. The end of the zip-line is a neat looking treehouse, which is odd because the brochures said that it touched the ground. But all of a sudden, the line is pulled out from the treehouse and they realize that there is no way out. The group hears mumbling coming from the closet. Zed bravely looks and finds an Australian fish gagged and tied up. After they help him, he says that his name is Finn and he is the person that is supposed to send people down the zip-line, but he was kidnapped and forced down himself where he landed in a different area than he should have. He said that the goons had shirts that said M.C.C.

Mr. Krabs and Lenny have said their hellos to all of their old friends and it feels great to be all together with them again. Mr. Krabs last reunion hadn't been very long ago but Lenny hadn't come along so it was more exciting for him. But the feeling never changed for Krabs. His Navy days were the best days of his life. After everyone is done with their greetings and have eaten the delicious food laid out for them, it is time to announce this year's Navy Hall of Fame inductees. One of them is Lenny, who had no idea this was coming. His speech wasn't very good because he was still in so much shock, but that was exactly the way that everyone had remembered Lenny, a modest and clumsy fish. A couple others are inducted. Mr. Krabs already had been a while back. But his heart stops when he hears the final inductee: Mac. He isn't there obviously because he is assumed dead. Mr. Krabs knows what he has to do, accept the award for him and say something. He never admits that Mac isn't dead, but he nervously explains the truth about what had happened to him and that wherever Mac is right now, Mr. Krabs is extremely sorry and that that incident had haunted him for his whole life. There is no applause in the room, just shock. From behind a plant in the very back of the room, Mac comes out in his wheelchair.

39. Just Like Old Times Part 3

At first, everyone in the room is stunned but thrilled to see Mac alive. Lenny freaks out though yelling that he has gone insane and for everyone to stay away. But Mac insists that everyone calm down and give him a chance to talk. He admits that he did all of those terrible things and had eventually planned to do more. He tells everyone what his motivation was and that he now realizes that what he did was terrible and he doesn't understand why he did those things, he was just hungry for revenge. He accepts Mr. Krab's apology and the induction into the Navy Hall of Fame. But he says that the Krusty Train crew is in a lot of trouble and they have to get to famous Australian Zip-Line right away.

Squidward was the first to go. In the odd treehouse, it was getting late and there still didn't seem to be any sort of way out. He was going crazy and had gone outside to investigate. He saw a long vine leading toward the ground and went for it. As soon as he did, the vine swung and he was gone. Plankton was next, he crawled through a mouse hole which was labeled "escape." He was too tired and hungry to think about what he was doing. Kendra was in the bathroom stall and Quinn was outside making sure nothing happened. But it did. The stall dropped from the treehouse entirely and Quinn jumped trying to save her. Patrick ran around in panic on the treehouse deck and seemed to just vanish into the air. That left Spongebob, Zed, and Finn. (The zip-line manager). And that was when Mr. Krabs, Lenny, and Mac showed up. Mac says that they will be ok for a while, and he knows where they have been taken. He shows them all to a secret elevator in the tree and takes them up to a secret base. They are all there but something is wrong. None of them remember who or where they are. Mac says that he knows how to cure them but it may take a while. And Mr. Krabs invites him to ride the train and try to repair their friendship. And in the meantime, hopefully help them recover. Mac agrees and Finn offers to work while everyone is getting their memories back. The train heads off and back to Bikini Bottom.

Even though this was already posted a while back on TV.com, I'll post it again so I can start Season 4 from the beginning.

40. Forgotten Memories

Mac begins his process to try to give back the crew's memories. He still can't figure out why he did all of the things he did. It seems like if you feel remorseful, you would still have some sort of understanding of what you did wrong and why you did it. But for some reason, he didn't. That would probably make many of the crew members very suspicious, but he had to fix what he started regardless. The ones without memory are Squidward, Quinn, Kendra, Plankton, and Patrick.

The train pulls into Bikini Bottom. It will be really hard for Spongebob to adjust to Patrick forgetting him, but on the bright side it would mean him staying on the train longer. But who knows how long it will take for their memories to be healed. It would be nice if someone could help Mac. Sandy! He asks Zed to come with him to talk to Sandy. She and Zed become quick friends and she agrees to board the train in order to help everyone. And while Spongebob and Zed are still in Bikini Bottom, the three of them decide to go sightsee and visit the local shops and museums, reminding Spongebob of some fond memories. It was really a shame that most of his friends wouldn't be able to enjoy them. It also makes him realize that as nice as the train is, he is really missing just living in Bikini Bottom full time. But whatever happens will happen. The three of them go back to the train and see the rest of the Bikini Bottom citizens who are boarding the train this time around.

Dale has come on to celebrate recently being released from jail. He had only been in there a month because it wasn't a serious crime, but it had been the longest month of his life and he didn't plan on getting mixed up in a situation like that anytime soon. Sadie and her son Monroe get on for the sightseeing. The train has apparently developed new technology to take a trip into The Mariana Trench and they wanted to be some of the first to experience it. Officer Nancy gets on, but not for a vacation. After all of the suspicious activity going on in the Krusty Train, she has come on duty to monitor it. The last fish to get on is Fred who is just in it for a break from his everyday life. It was expensive though, hopefully he'd be able to get through stress free and just enjoy himself. With everyone boarded and a few fish including Lou, Evelyn, and Scooter having left, the train heads off for yet another journey.

Before you read this episode, I recommend that you read at least the Season 2 episode Behind the M.C.C. and the last part of Season 3. If you want to know EXACTLY what's going on, I recommend that you read the whole series. 893573.gif

41. Behind Enemy Lines

Mac and Mr. Krabs run from the enemy lines. Why hadn't they listened to Lenny and not gone through with this foolish plan. Now they will either die as failures or live as heroes and the latter didn't matter as long as they lived in the first place. They had insisted on stealing the enemy plans but now hope was bleak. They were pushing themselves to run faster than they could already, when Mac tripped on a rock. The last thing that he saw was Eugene's horrified face staring backwards toward him as he kept running. And then he was trampled and blacked out.

Mac woke from his coma some two weeks later in an enemy tent feeling pain that he never imagined was possible. He barely opened his eyes, seeing two guards talking about him. He heard that they were planning to keep him as a prisoner and torture him until the Navy gave into their demands. Then when they had the advantage, they would kill him. Mac was petrified, he was in no condition to possibly leave. First he was trying to be a hero, and now he could be the reason that his country lost the war. He could only pray that Eugene escaped with the enemy plans. Those were the only things that could possibly save him, maybe cause a stalemate. Or find a way to get him rescued. He stopped his thinking knowing that he was just scrambling for some sort of hope. He went back to sleep crying.

Mac gets woken up in the middle night. He can't tell who it is at first. Their face is dark, their stature is almost haunting. When their voice spoke, it sounded cold and heartless. The voice said, "You know, I saw what happened. You do know that Eugene left you die?" Mac felt a chill go through his spine and up his neck. And then, pain.

Mac woke up in his room in the Krusty Train screaming an unnatural scream. Mr. Krabs and Spongebob storm in his room to find out what's wrong.

I'm back baby! I recommend that you read the rest of the story before this episode so that it makes sense. Going back to the classic roots of the Krusty Train here. I feel like it's been getting too dramatic, so I'm making sure to add an equal amount of humor to drama in order to balance it out. And I'll write a really long episode for my return!

42. Jailfish

In the midst of the chaos surrounding Mac's visions and the memory recovery of Quinn, Squidward, Kendra, Plankton, and Patrick, the train must continue running. With Sandy and Mac both helping the recoveries, Mr. Krabs, Lenny, Zed, and Spongebob are the only workers and doing their best to keep everything efficent. Finn turns out to be an excellent worker on his first day after his experience running the Australian Zipline. It's a relief for Spongebob who had been having to handle customer service all by himself for the last couple days.

At about midnight, Spongebob gets a call from Officer Nancy. He immediately assumes the worst, as he is completely aware of her undercover mission on the train involving the M.C.C. But the call is about something completely unrelated. Moaning is coming from the cart next to her's. This doesn't make Spongebob feel great, but it's better than the M.C.C. He goes over to the cart, and finds it is Dale's. Spongebob knocks only for Dale to tell him to go away. Noticing something wrong with the tone of his voice, Spongebob is forced to open the door with his key. The room is completely dark so he turns on the light, only to find Dale in a feetle position in the corner of the room. Nothing seems to be wrong at first because nothing is in the room, but Dale begins to talk to Spongebob as if he is a security guard. Spongebob tries to talk to him but Dale doesn't seem to understand anything.

Eventually after trying many different methods, Spongebob resorts to dumping cold water on Dale and he finally snaps out of it. Dale explains that lately he's been suffering from M.D.S, Memorial Dream Syndrome. After spending a few months in jail over a crime that he didn't comit, he's been hallucinating at night about being there again. He thought that coming to the train would make it go away, but it didn't. Spongebob tells him to try and sleep and that he'll try to figure out a solution by the morning. He leaves the cart thinking, and happens to pass by the room where Sandy and Mac are trying to repair everyone's memories. They are still awake so Spongebob goes in to say hi. What he sees astounds him. Patrick is back to normal! He is thrilled to finally have his best friend back and thanks Sandy and Mac. Patrick would have gotten off the train at Bikini Bottom, but now he'd be around for another trip around the world!

Since it is still on his mind, Spongebob tells Patrick about Dale's problem. Patrick claims that he's helped people with the exact same problem countless times and he'd be glad to help out Dale as well. In the morning, Patrick shows up in a security guard outfit and goes into Dale's room with Spongebob. Dale panics at the mere sight of the uniform, but is calmed down by Spongebob. Patrick says that Dale since is upset over a crime he didn't comit, Dale must comit a crime to make him feel right about it. This idea seems a bit odd to Spongebob, but he goes along with it anyway since he always trusts Patrick. Following Patrick's instructions, Dale sneaks into the kitchen and steals a napkin. This doesn't help at all, just makes him feel terrible about himself and causes him to hyperventilate. In response to this though, Pat has another great idea. He makes Dale pretend like he is jail again. Now that he actually did something wrong, he should feel like he now deserves to do time! But five minutes into Patrick's training, Dale has a nervous breakdown and faints. Spongebob tells Patrick that he doesn't think it worked, but Patrick still has high hopes that when Dale wakes up he'll be fine.

Meanwhile, Sandy and Mac are working on the memory repair room. They manage to get Quinn back to normal, a huge accomplishment. But they are worried that all of the others may be badly affected and not be back to normal for a while. Quinn is thrilled when his memory his back and greets Kendra with a hug. But she doesn't remember him at all as she hasn't become normal yet. This greatly hurts Quinn, but he understands that it is a work in progress and just hopes that Kendra will be alright soon. But when he leaves the room, he forgets about it completely when he sees Spongebob and Patrick staring down at what looks like Dale's dead body. He screams and runs over to them asking what happened. They happily greet him for about 5 minutes, talking about how great it is to see him again. He is frustrated when he can't get a straight answer but eventually gets it out of Spongebob that Dale just fainted. Spongebob also explains to him the problem with Dale's dreams. Quinn scoffs at this and simply claims that he learned hyptonism in College. When Dale wakes up, he manages to get him back to normal in no time. In the process, he makes Spongebob and Patrick fall asleep for a couple hours as punishment for making the problem worse and draws on them in their sleep.

At night, Dale finally gets a good night sleep and feels back to normal for the first time in months. Mac however is having a sleepless night. He had overheard the conversation between Quinn, Spongebob, and Patrick. The word "hypnotism" was ringing in his ear.
