23. Eyes

Trent is seen walking back to his home at night.

"Maddie is so sweet, and I'm glad she feels the same!" Trent bragged, as he entered in to see Valentina sitting in the living room watching television. "Hey mom."

Valentina didn't say anything, but Trent noticed she was holding onto the bracelet with the white knight stone.

"What are you doing with that bracelet?" Trent asked, confused.

"My apologies dear, but it appears it broke. I was about to call to get it fixed." Valentina replied oddly.

"Oh, alright. About that bracelet, I've been meaning to ask. Is there...something special about it?" Trent asked.

"No, it's just a fancy old bracelet with a rare stone welded into it. Nothing more." Valentina replied.

"Well, one of my, uh, friends, has a bracelet just like that one, except red." Trent pointed out.

"I guess they're selling that kind again, don't worry about it. I have to go out and get this repaired." Valentina replied.

"Why do you need it repaired?" Trent asked.

"Just because it's such a fancy object, it's...an old family item, and I want to make sure it is in perfect condition. I know you liked wearing it a few weeks ago, correct?" Valentina said.

"Yeah, that's true. It looks fine though..." Trent said, examining it.

"The stone has a small crack which I need repaired. I'll be back soon." Valentina said, as she left.

Audrey is seen back at the Golden Seahorse cleaning up, but something was bothering her, so she approached Mai.

"Hey grandma, I have a question..." Audrey was asking to Mai.

"What is it?" Mai asked.

"I've been wondering after all the beasts we've faced...are all of them evil?" Audrey asked.

"Not all are evil. Most are outlaws that have nothing to lose, and work with Ramos because there's no other path for them to take." Mai explained.

"Is there a chance any of the ones we fight are good deep down?" Audrey asked.

"Maybe, but you can never know. When they work with Ramos, they know very well what they are doing. Some want power, some are greedy, and some are pure evil." Mai explained, as Audrey seemed a bit saddened by this.

Valentina is seen in a black hood walking through the forests, headed for Ramos's castle. In a hallway, Vexacus speaks to Morgana.

"Wow, that was pretty cold sabotage those fools like that." Morgana said.

"I wanted to get on their good side, and bit them from behind when they least expected it. I knew those two buffoons would be of zero use to us, and I needed to find the perfect time to get them out of my way." Vexacus explained.

"You'll still keep me in your little scheme, right?" Morgana asked.

"Of course, of course..." Vexacus was saying, when Motordrone approached them.

"What do we have here?" Motordrone asked.

"Nothing to worry about, we were just discussing how excited we are when Karmania is conquered." Vexacus lied.

They then heard an electricity sound and a guard yelling.

"HELP!" the guard yelled from outside.

"I'm keeping an eye on you, Vexacus..." Motordrone said, following behind.

The three went into the throne room to see Valentina in her hood.

"A trespasser!" Vexacus said, pointing his sword at her. She then showed her face.

"Now now, that's no way to treat a lady..." Valentina said, as she ran her fin down Vexacus's sword, and walked past him.

"What are you doing here, intruder?" Motordrone asked.

"I just came to see King Ramos, I have...a proposition for him." Valentina said oddly.

"He's in bed right now, and would be very angry to be woken up at this hour." Morgana said.

"...It's only 9:35." Valentina deadpanned, looking at her watch.

"The King needs his beauty sleep. Now, if you have nothing useful to tell him, I suggest you leave..." Vexacus threatened, pointing his sword again, when Zurtrax and Skipper walked in after hearing the commotion.

"What's all the ruckus in here?" Skipper asked.

"We have a trespasser who wishes to see King Ramos." Motordrone explained.

"Come back in the morning." Zurtrax ordered.

"It's urgent. I have to tell him right now. It'd be...unfortunate if I woke up a certain somebody else in this castle..." Valentina said, referring to Elana.

"Fine, but he won't be happy. Follow me..." Skipper said to Valentina, escorting her to Ramos's room.

He opened it, seeing Ramos sleeping on the floor.

"Oh dear, he's having a snore on the floor!" Skipper said, as he tapped on Ramos's snoozing body, waking him up.

"Huh...WHAT THE? Why was I sleeping on the floor?! Why did you wake me up?! What is this person doing in my castle?!" Ramos asked grumpily.

"She has come to speak to you." Skipper explained.

"You can call me Valentina, I'm just a common woman-" Valentina was saying.

"I asked what you are doing here, not for your resume. How did you even get past my guards anyways?!" Ramos asked.

"I just had to do some...convincing." Valentina smiled.

"Just state your business! I should ban you from my beautiful castle for trespassing, but I'll let you speak. And make it quick, I feel a headache coming on..." Ramos said angrily.

"I'm just curious. It has been 50 years, and your family still has not conquered Karmania, king after king. It has taken you six years to find the princess." Valentina pointed out.

"Congratulations, you know how to count. What's your point?" Ramos asked, annoyed.

"How does she even know what Karmania is?" Skipper asked.

"I know lots of things, don't bother hiding it like a politician. I'm just saying, I find it a bit odd, you suddenly now have princess in your possession after six years." Valentina said.

"You know my secret, big whoop. But who are you to criticize me?!" Ramos asked.

"I'm just stating facts. A buffoon like you just now suddenly happens to find the Central Karmanian heir?" Valentina asked.

"Hey, show some respect!" Skipper said.

"You'll get my respect if you just hear me out. I'm just curious. Especially since the Stone of Light was thought to be destroyed..." Valentina was saying, seeing it hanging on Ramos's wall of treasures.

"What are you blabbing about?" Ramos asked.

"It appears you don't know the whole tale. The Stone of Light was said to have been thrown into a volcano after being used to find the queen so long ago by her father. I'm just wondering how you could have obtained such an ancient item..." Valentina said, looking at it.

"As royalty, I have...certain ways of getting things I want. Far too complex for you to understand." Ramos replied.

"Ah, okay." Valentina replied.

"Now what do you want?!" Ramos asked.

"It's nothing really. I would just like your fancy Stone of Light for a...project I'm working on." Valentina offered, as Ramos laughed.

"I don't give special items of mine away for free, especially to a crazy stranger off the street like you!" Ramos replied.

"How unfortunate. I had an offer that could help weaken those guardians and knights. Guess you don't want to hear..." Valentina replied, beginning to walk out of the room.

"Fine. I'll listen, but first, Skipper, make me some tea, my head is pounding thanks to her!" Ramos complained.

"Are you sure we can trust her?" Skipper asked.

"No, but she has a plan, and clearly knows something I don't..." Ramos said.

Ramos is seen on his throne, and Skipper pours tea into his cup.

"My offer is simple. I want your precious stone, and in exchange, I'll help you with your knight problem. You see, those gentlemen are powered by ancient Karmanian stones, which help them access their knight forms. I want those stones for my little project. Without their stones, they are powerless. That is half your problem solved. If only there was some way of getting those stones away from them, like getting someone on their good side..." Valentina offered.

"Hmm... that's actually...a decent idea. I'll tell you what, even though you woke me up and gave me a headache, I'll help. I think I know just the prisoner to help us..." Ramos said, sipping more tea and got up.

"What kind of project are you working on?" Skipper asked suspiciously to Valentina.

"Far too complex for you to understand." Valentina taunted, as Ramos headed to the dungeon.

"Sir, don't tell me you are considering releasing... him." Zurtrax said, approaching Ramos, but he ignored him, walking down into the dungeon with everyone. They walked past cells containing Elana's "parents", captured rebels, and other beasts.

"Oh no, boss, you can't release Deckel!" Skipper begged to Ramos.

"NOT DECKEL!" some of the prisoners yelled.

"Pipe down you babies, he's not that dangerous!" Ramos said.

"But I know of several destroyed villages and landmarks that beg to differ!" Skipper said to him.

"Sir, as one of your top generals, I strongly advise against this." Zurtrax said.

"As your #1 general, I strongly advise for this." Vexacus said, pushing Zurtrax aside.

They went to the end of the dungeon hall, and saw a giant metal door with a "DANGER" sign on it. Two Federation soldiers nervously went to it.

"What are you waiting for? Open it!" Ramos ordered, as a soldier entered a combination, while the other pulled down a lever, opening the door. "DECKEL, GET OUT HERE!"

Out of the dark cell, a pair of chained boots stepped out. A Karmanian looking like a normal fish appeared in a black suit, wearing a scarf around his neck, brown steampunk goggles, and with a mark of yellow dye in their hair. His hands were also cuffed from chains. He gave a creepy smile and stretched his neck.

"This is what you guys are scared of?" Morgana asked.

"My oh my... I have not been out of that cell in so long. I love what you've done with this place. :D " Deckel said creepily, looking around.

"Get cute with me and I'll put you back in there. I have a deal for you, if you want to be set free." Ramos said to him.

"Set me free? Ha. Good idea." Deckel said, as his fins began to glow yellow.

He shot out a beam at all the cells, opening them up, while Valentina smiled.

"WE'RE FREE!" a prisoner yelled, as Elana's parents gasped, about to get up.

"NO! Secure the prisoners!" Ramos ordered, as Skipper and the generals forced them back in their cells.

The two soldiers pointed their guns at Deckel.

"I didn't want to do this..." Deckel said, removing his goggles.

"Don't look into his eyes!" Skipper said to everyone, as Deckel's eyes glowed yellow.

Everyone else looked away, but he stared at the two soldiers, turning them into stone while they screamed. Deckel put his goggles back on, walking up to Ramos.

"Now then friend, I have a deal for you. I do whatever silly scheme it is you have planned, and we can become... partners." Deckel offered.

"Not a chance, I've got enough morons working at this castle, and I don't need you! Your freedom seems like a good enough deal. After I conquer Karmania, you can do whatever you want. Here's what you're going to do: You look like a normal fish, so that makes you useful to me. I need your help in a plan-to get on the good side of the guardians and take the knight stones-a plan that I came up with!" Ramos bragged, annoying Valentina.

"Of course, my king. I hope my shades are still in style..." Deckel said happily, adjusting his goggles.

"Keep them on, because if you fail me, I'm going to throw you into a volcano!" Ramos threatened.

"I'll be on my way." Valentina said, leaving.

The next day, the girls and Jake are seen at school.

"Wow, looks like Maddie is already ahead of us in romance." Tori said.

"Yeah, I never knew Trent felt the same way about me..." Madison said, closing her locker.

"I had a feeling, but I just kept it to myself." Jake said.

"Don't focus on him too much, we still have problems...like the Elana problem..." Cynthia said, as they saw Roxy by herself at her locker.

"And October 16th is approaching..." Audrey said.

"Well, what do we do? It's not like she'll want to be rescued right now, she still hates us." Jake said.

"We have to attempt something. If we never try, we'll never know." Cynthia said.

"She has a point, but I just don't know what else we could do, since last time Cynthia went there it didn't work out so well..." Madison said.

"We can attempt something after school. Now let's get to class before he yells at us." Jake said, seeing Rotwell approach.

Later, the five are seen exiting school after the last bell rang. Deckel is seen looking at them from the distance from a bush, and uses his goggles to zoom in on them. He compared them to a folder with pictures of the five that Ramos gave him.

"Yup, those are the ones. I better keep a close EYE on them..." Deckel said.

As the five were on their way to the Golden Seahorse, Deckel was following them. He was on the sidewalk across from them, as he walked down the street whistling creepily and greeting everyone he met.

"Hello mailman, isn't it a beautiful day?" Deckel asked to a mailfish.

"Uh...sure." the mailfish replied awkwardly, and kept walking.

"Hello delivery man!" Deckel said to Randy the Pizza Delivery Guy, who rode by on a delivery bike.

He then noticed the five about to cross the street, while a boatmobile was approaching the red light. He then looked into the boatmobile's mirror, as the driver looked at it to see Deckel's glowing eyes.

"What's going on?!" the driver panicked, as they were turning into stone.

The boatmobile kept going forward, as the five were walking across. Audrey quickly saw the boatmobile headed for her, as she gasped.

"AUDREY!" the other girls and Jake yelled, when Deckel quickly jumped out and saved Audrey, as the boatmobile crashed.

"Thank you, you saved my life! Who are you?" Audrey asked, as Deckel helped her get up.

"You can call me Deckel, new in town. It was no problem, young lady. Some rapscallions need to learn the rules of the road!" Deckel said cheerfully.

"Thanks for your help, Mr. Deckel. Good thing you were around just in time." Madison said.

"Yeah, good thing indeed. Seriously, how do we let idiots like that on the road?" Cynthia asked.

"Uh guys...take a look, I see why they lost control..." Jake said, as they went to the crashed boatmobile to see the driver was a frozen statue. Instead of looking at the driver, Deckel looked at Jake's knight bracelet.

"A statue was driving it? That's not a funny idea for a prank." Tori said.

"Uh, I don't think it's a prank. I think that's a real fish..." Audrey said, looking at them further, with their terrified face.

"My, what an oddity. I wonder how that could've happened?" Deckel asked.

"I don't know, but hopefully the...police can figure it out! Anyways, thanks again so much Deckel, we'll be on our way." Madison said.

"Wait a minute, where are you running off to so soon?" Deckel asked.

"We're going to that restaurant over there, which my parents own. You can come if you want." Audrey offered.

"Why, I am quite starved, thank you for your generosity! I'll gladly go!" Deckel said, smiling.

"It's the least I can do for your bravery. As my grandmother said, anybody who does a good deed deserves respect...or something like that." Audrey replied.

Jake then contacted the knights on his bracelet about the incident, sending them a message they may need to investigate. The six entered in the restaurant.

"You're going to keep those things on? We're inside." Tori said to Deckel.

"Oh...I need these on. You see, I have a bit of a seeing problem." Deckel lied.

"Now I feel like a jerk." Tori said.

"No worries, it was my fault for not telling you." Deckel said to them.

"I see you all have a new friend. Granddaughter, I hope we're not in that phase where we invite boys over..." Mai said to Audrey.

"No grandma, we're just showing him around. His name is Deckel, he saved my life! A boat was about to hit me, and he saved me, like a guardian angel or something!" Audrey said to her, but Mai had an odd feeling about him.

"Oh...interesting. Check out our menu." Mai said, handing Deckel one.

"Thank you, kind woman." Deckel replied, as the six took a booth.

Jake then got a notice on his bracelet, as the knights were coming over to investigate.

"My boy, that is quite a fancy...bracelet, you got there. Oh right, where are my manners, what are your names?" Deckel asked.

"I'm Jake, and yeah, this is a...fancy bracelet." Jake replied.

"I'm Madison, the girl you saved is Audrey, the snarky one right there is Tori, and the pretty one is Cynthia." Madison introduced.

"It is a pleasure to meet you all. I don't want to be a burden though, after I eat your delicious food, I have to be on my way for...my job." Deckel said.

"That's fine, I just wanted to reward you for saving me." Audrey said.

"Yeah, and...I have to go somewhere real quick." Jake said, as he got up.

"What are you doing?" Madison whispered.

"Stay put and keep him company, we can handle it. The guys are going to investigate that crash." Jake whispered back, as he ran off.

"Be careful now, don't trip!" Deckel said, laughing, but then gave a stern look.

Jake met up with the three knights at the boatmobile crash, as the cops were there investigating it, including Tori's dad. The fish statue was seen on the ground, covered in a blanket.

"I tell you what, this must be a prank or something, because I don't know how a statue could drive a boatmobile..." Hank said, scratching his head.

"Evening officers, I am an expert here to investigate this crash. I'd like to see this statue, if you don't mind." Zero said to them, as he showed them his ID.

"I suppose, go and see what you can find, professor. Right now I'm assuming this was some crazy prank gone wrong. At least nobody got harmed..." Hank said, as he went to talk to the other officers. Zero began analyzing the statue.

"I just don't understand...how could a statue drive a boatmobile? Are statues alive?" Nick wondered.

"No, this is a normal fish that was turned into stone. This is the work of Karmanian beast magic." Zero concluded.

"What kind of beast could turn people into stone?" Cameron asked.

"I've heard legends of a dangerous creature that destroyed villages, and turning all of its Karmanian citizens into statues with its glowing eyes. I can't say for certain if the two incidents are related, however." Zero replied.

"I remember Ranen mentioned something to me once about that. I think he said the creature's name started with a D...like...Daniel, Debbie, Dorris..." Nick was rambling, when Jake had an epiphany.

"Wait...eyes...a name that starts with D..." Jake wondered, as he had flashbacks of Deckel's sudden appearance, and his goggles that he couldn't remove.

"Don, Deborah, David, Dylan..." Nick kept listing.

"Uh, guys...this is hypothetical, but could that creature change its appearance to blend in with normal fish?" Jake asked.

"It is possible, since Drew could do the same." Cameron said.

"I'll be right back..." Jake said, as he ran off back to the Golden Seahorse.

He walked back to the booth to see Deckel wasn't there with the girls, as they were eating their food.

"Where did Deckel go?" Jake asked.

"He said he had to go to the store real quick, he went off in a hurry." Cynthia said, as Jake had a worried look.

As the three knights were still looking at the frozen fish statue, Deckel is seen approaching them from behind. He takes off his goggles.

"Hello gentlemen." Deckel said, as the three turned around to see his glowing eyes.

"What's happening?!" Nick asked, as they quickly turned to stone.

"Excellent, three stones for the taking!" Deckel laughed, putting his goggles back on.

He then ripped off the knight bracelets from the three, and quickly ran off. Jake and the girls then arrived to see the frozen three knights.

"We're too late!" Madison said.

"Jake, are you sure you're right about this?" Audrey asked.

"Who else could it be? Deckel isn't around anywhere!" Jake said.

"Jake has a point. He was acting kind of odd, but I just didn't want to be rude..." Cynthia said.

"I don't know, Deckel being a beast just seems weird. Even if he was, maybe he has a reason for turning them into stone?" Audrey asked.

"His only reason was to get closer to us. Also, the knight bracelets are gone..." Jake said, looking at the arms of them.

"I'm sorry Audrey, but...maybe Jake is right. It did seem suspicious he randomly appeared at the same time the driver turned to stone. I know he saved you, and you want to see good in people, but maybe Deckel is lying." Madison said.

"Also, at the same time he went off to the store, these three turned into statues. Sorry Audrey, but I think all the evidence points to him." Tori said, as Audrey was upset by this.

Deckel is seen running, and hides in an alley.

"Yes, I did it! I got three stones! Now where is that woman..." Deckel wondered.

"Closer than you expect." Valentina said, appearing out of the shadows.

"Whoa, hello there! Mrs. whatever your name is, I got three of the four stones! I turned three of those suckers into statues!" Deckel bragged, as he held out the three bracelets.

"Three out of four is fine, I suppose. I would've preferred all four, but it'll do." Valentina said, taking the three right from him.

"Now I can finally get my freedom..." Deckel said, smiling.

Ramos is seen walking around the castle with Elana.

"October 16th is coming up very fast, aren't you excited?! It'll be the day that the darkness is over!" Ramos said to her.

"Of course! I really can't wait to see Karmania! But I'm just wondering on something..." Elana was saying.

"What is it?" Ramos asked.

"What happened to those two hunter guys, Gordon and Doyle?" Elana asked.

"Oh...they...went on a vacation. They left last night, and they'll be back in a week." Ramos lied.

"Weird, they didn't say anything about it before." Elana said.

"What can I say, they're weird." Ramos said, when a soldier approached him.

"Sir, you have two visitors." the soldier said.

"Stay here, I'll be right back." Ramos said to her.

"Ramos sure has a lot of visitors, but I know he is busy. Still, I wonder what he talks about sometimes. I don't want to anger him though..." Elana wondered.

Ramos went to his throne room to see Deckel and Valentina.

"I have what I need, now you hold up your end of the deal." Valentina said to Ramos, showing the three bracelets.

"Fine, take the stone, it's not like I needed it anymore anyways!" Ramos said, as he threw it to her, and she caught it.

"Thank you, my "king". I promise I won't interfere with any of your plans." Valentina said, as she walked off.

"I still don't know about her, sir. Can you trust her with it? She gives me a funny feeling..." Skipper said.

"She got the knight stones, so she can do whatever she wants, little man." Ramos replied.

"Well Ramos, I succeeded in the mission. Three of the knights have been turned into stone. Can I be let free in Karmania now, so I can do what I do best?" Deckel asked happily.

"You can, but for a task first. I want you and my generals to finish those brats off! You turned only three of them into stone, I want all of them destroyed!" Ramos said.

"Of course, my king. I can't wait to hang out with your boys... well, more like a boy and two robots, over here!" Deckel said happily, he put up his fin for a high-five, but none of the three generals said anything.

"Don't get too cozy, I am in charge here." Vexacus warned. "I have to say my king, it was a wise move to fire those two imbeciles, maybe they won't screw us up this time."

"Yes, they will be two less headaches to deal with, but you're not off the hook, either! You better finish them once and for all this time!" Ramos warned.

Valentina is seen in her room, and put the three knight bracelets on a table, along with the Stone of Light. She then put out Trent's white bracelet, and touched the five stones. She whispered a spell, as the Stone of Light let out a blast onto the white bracelet. She then transferred energy from the three other stones into the white stone, as it glowed.

"It is done." Valentina said, as she picked up the other bracelets.

She then went downstairs and saw Trent playing a video game.

"Your bracelet got fixed." Valentina said, handing it to him, and he put it on.

"Oh, thanks mom. It feels...different." Trent said.

"Hold on, let me adjust one last...part." Valentina said, and she pressed a button on it.

The girls and Jake were seen with Mai and Ranen, looking at their frozen friends. Jake explained to them what happened.

"This is most unfortunate. I have no idea what Ramos would want with the knight stones." Mai pondered.

"Whatever he wants, he wanted Deckel to get closer to us so he could take them what we least suspected it." Jake said.

"Indeed. No matter what tricks he pulls, do not look into his eyes, no matter how tempting it is. I am sorry Audrey, like I told you, some beasts are pure evil." Mai said to her.

"It's okay, I shouldn't have trusted him so easily." Audrey said, feeling guilty.

"It's not your fault, if I almost got hit by a boatmobile and saved by a handsome dude...okay, I wouldn't call him handsome, I'd trust them too." Tori said.

"I just received a report that Deckel and Ramos's generals are terrorizing the Central Karmanian slums. It may be a trap, but you must finish Deckel off for good." Ranen said.

"Even if we defeat him, what about them?" Cynthia asked, referring to the frozen knights.

"There may be a potion in the Bazaar to undo the effects, but for now, focus on defeating Deckel." Ranen ordered.

The five understood, as they went behind the Golden Seahorse. Madison opened a portal with the heart, and they went through. At the Posidonia Fields forest, a familiar figure is walking through it. Federation soldiers see the figure as they get closer to the Ancient Seal.

"Stop! Wait, I recognize you...OH NO!" a soldier panicked, and was hit with a laser arrow blast along with other soldiers.

It was revealed to be The White Knight, as they stepped into the Ancient Seal portal. The guardians and Jake arrived in a forest, as the slums were in the distance. They heard cries of terror.

"I swear, why does this place attract the worst possible things?" Cynthia asked.

The girls transformed and Jake powered up. They went down into the town to see villagers running, with some turned into statues. Deckel was there with the generals.

"Come back, look into my beautiful eyes!" Deckel taunted, as his eyes were glowing.

"I guess I have to do this solo. Remember, don't make eye contact with him!" Jake reminded to the girls.

"Already noted, since I'd rather not look into his creepy eyes!" Cynthia said.

"Ah, so you made it. I guess my secret is out, whoopsie." Deckel said happily.

"Stop the cute talk and freeze them already!" Vexacus said, as he threw explosives at the girls, but they flew out of the way, exploding in the air.

"No need to rush me, it is RUDE!" Deckel said, as he was trying to look at the girls, but they kept flying around. "Hold still!"

Jake clashed swords with Zurtrax, as Motordrone made his bike appear. He then began firing lasers at Tori from the bike, but she threw water blasts back at him, messing up his path.

"Must destroy Water guardian." Motordrone said.

"I guess I have an arch-enemy now." Tori said.

Vexacus began attacking Jake with his sword. Vexacus and Zurtrax overwhelmed Jake, causing him to fall to the ground.

"Not so powerful without your other teammates, are you?" Vexacus taunted, pointing his sword to him.

"Jake!" Madison yelled, as she threw heart blasts at them, but Vexacus absorbed one with his sword and deflected one back, as Madison quickly dodged.

Deckel then approached the two, as Audrey let out a gust of wind at Deckel, Zurtrax and Vexacus. Jake got up and punched Deckel in the stomach without looking at him in the face, as he fell to the ground.

"Idiot, can you fight?!" Vexacus asked.

"I'm not exactly a fighting type in this form, but I can gladly-" Deckel was saying, about to get up, when suddenly white laser arrows were blasted at Vexacus, Zurtrax, Jake, and Motordrone, causing them all to fall.

"That attack..." Audrey was saying.

"Who dares?!" Motordrone asked.

"It's him..." Tori said.

The White Knight appeared.

"Surprised to see me?" The White Knight asked.

"While I'm glad to see another knight, I get the feeling he's still not on our side..." Jake said, holding his sword close, getting back up.

"Another knight?!" Vexacus asked.

"They mysteriously appeared a few weeks ago. I'm going to offer you to join us again, or be destroyed." Zurtrax said.

"I told you last time, I'm not helping any of you." The White Knight said, as he shot laser arrows at the girls.

They all tried to dodge, but they were too fast and made them fall to the ground. Valentina was watching them from the forest.

"Yes, he is even more powerful now." Valentina said.

"Great, the one time I need a knight, and it's the one who hates us!" Jake said.

"Why do you keep attacking us?!" Madison asked, as The White Knight blasted more laser arrows.

Audrey quickly let out a breath of wind, blowing some back at the knight, making him fall to the ground.

"Oh dear, what a shame..." Deckel said.

He then began to look at The White Knight, but he quickly launched laser arrows into Deckel's eyes.

"MY EYES!!!" Deckel yelled, as he ran off in a hurry, covering them.

"No matter, I will finish you all off!" Vexacus said, as he dodged attacks from both the guardians and The White Knight, with Motordrone and Zurtrax being caught in the cross-fire.

Deckel then hid in an alley, as he still covered his eyes. A tattoo on his neck then began glowing yellow, as did his whole body. Out of the alley, he appeared as a navy dragon-like creature, with yellow markings and no eyes. It ran out, growling.

"What is that thing?!" Cynthia asked.

"It is me, Deckel, fools! Behold my true beast form! Now I'm going to do what these nitwits couldn't!" Deckel laughed, as he opened up slots across his body and they were showing glowing eyes.

He let out multiple blasts, as one hit Madison, turning her into stone.

"Sis!" Jake yelled, as he avoided another blast. The White Knight then attacked him, clashing swords, while Tori, Cynthia and Audrey attacked Deckel and the generals.

"Why are you doing this?!" Jake asked to him, but there was no reply.

The White Knight knocked Jake's sword out of his hand, and threw more laser arrows at him. Jake went flying into the ground. A beam headed for him, but he quickly moved and it hit The White Knight, turning him into stone. Vexacus then attacked Jake.

Cynthia threw multiple rock blasts at Deckel, but he smashed through them with eye beams. One was headed for Cynthia, but Audrey quickly changed its path by launching a gust of wind at it. Diggy was seen whistling and walking through the slums, when the beam hit him and turned him into stone. Two more beams were blasted at Tori and Cynthia, as they turned into stone.

"Oh no, I'm the only guardian left..." Audrey said nervously.

"Come on Audrey, I'm your friend. I saved you after all! I wouldn't hurt you!" Deckel said, laughing.

"You tricked us, you're no friend!" Audrey said, blowing heavy gusts at him, and noticed there was sand on the ground.

Jake then avoided Motordrone and Zurtrax, as he began attacking Deckel, but he growled and shot more eye beams at Jake. He avoided one, as it hit Motordrone. Audrey then blew more wind onto some sand, making it get into Deckel's eyes.

"MY EYES!" Deckel cried, as couldn't see.

"Not so tough without your magic eyes now!" Audrey said.

"Audrey, I have an idea!" Jake said, as he pointed to Vexacus's sword.

"Hey ugly, over here!" Audrey taunted to Deckel, as she floated in front of Vexacus.

Deckel quickly shot an eye blast, but Audrey avoided it, as it hit Vexacus's sword. He smiled and threw it at Audrey, but Audrey changed its direction to Deckel.

"NOOO, THIS IS AN IRONIC END!" Deckel yelled, as he turned into stone.

Suddenly, The White Knight, girls, Motordrone, and villagers all turned back to normal. Back in Posidonia Fields, the knights and driver also unfroze. The driver got up as they saw the three.

"Who the heck are you three? AND WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BOAT?!" the driver asked, confused and angry.

"Uh... there is a perfectly logical explanation for this, which you'll have to figure out on your own." Nick said, as the three walked off.

"Audrey did it. She used her powers to give Deckel a taste of his own medicine." Jake said to them.

"Well, Jake came up with the idea, I don't want to take all the credit." Audrey said, feeling shy.

"Still, it's impressive you held your own against him. You can be fierce when you need to be." Madison said.

"Unfortunately, we still have to deal with those idiots..." Cynthia said, as the five looked at The White Knight and three generals.

The White Knight quickly ran off into the forests.

"Coward!" Vexacus yelled.

"This is not over!" Zurtrax said, powering up his electric sword.

As the girls launched all their powers at once back at him, Vexacus had an idea. He "accidentally" tripped and put his sword in the way, in-between the electricity and combined attack collision.

"What are you doing?!" Zurtrax asked.

The sword absorbed both blasts, as it sent the beams flying back both ways. One at Motordrone and Zurtrax, and the other at the girls and Jake, as they went flying. The girls were okay, but Jake went flying into the forest, landing in a tree. Audrey helped him get out.

"Are you okay?" Audrey asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. You're the lifesaver this time." Jake said, as Audrey smiled.

"What are we going to do with creepy eyes?" Tori asked.

"Since he's frozen, there's no point in scanning him. I sent a request to get him moved." Jake said, as Deckel was still frozen in the statue.

"I just wish I knew why that knight showed up again." Madison wondered.

"I guess we'll never know, but we'll probably see him again." Jake said, as they went back into the portal.

"What did you do?" Motordrone asked, as he angrily got back up with Zurtrax, both smoking from the attack.

"My apologies, it appears I tripped. I did not intend for that to happen..." Vexacus lied.

"I also bet you didn't intend for Doyle and Gordon's gun to mysteriously "not work". You may fool Ramos, but you don't fool me." Zurtrax said, angrily walking off.

"You don't fool me either." Motordrone said, and walked off.

"Fine then, I see how it is." Vexacus said, as he followed behind.

The White Knight is seen walking through the Posidonia Fields forest. Valentina approaches him, as she hits a button on the bracelet. He powers down to reveal Trent, who is confused.

"Hey...whoa, mom, what are you doing here?" Trent asked, looking around.

"We went hiking, remember? You fell asleep though. It's getting late, let's go home for dinner!" Valentina lied.

"Oh...sure, I guess." Trent replied, as they walked back home.

The guardians and Jake went back out of the portal, as Madison closed it. They powered down and went into the Golden Seahorse to meet with the unfrozen knights.

"You guys are okay!" Audrey said.

"Yeah, we just mysteriously unfroze, along with that driver dude, who wasn't very happy to see his boatmobile crashed." Nick said.

"It was thanks to Audrey though you guys are saved. I barely stood a chance out there without you guys, but Audrey managed to work with my idea to defeat Deckel." Jake said, as he explained everything to them.

"That's really messed up that dude would lie to you guys like that." Nick said.

"As my grandma told me, some monsters are past the point of redemption. I had hoped Deckel wasn't evil, but I realized he was a fake." Audrey said.

"He always seemed sketchy to me. Seriously, who wears goggles like those?" Tori asked.

"If he did care about you, he would have returned the stones. Deception can be the opponent's strongest tactic." Mai said.

"Speaking of the knight stones, where did they go?" Cameron asked.

"Deckel didn't have them from what I saw. I just don't know why Ramos would want the stones..." Jake wondered.

"Maybe he didn't take the stones." Cameron said, as they were confused.

"What do you mean?" Cynthia asked.

"Ramos doesn't need those stones, unless he wanted to make his own knight, but if that was the case, why would The White Knight also attack his generals? Is there a third party we don't know about here?" Cameron wondered.

"I suppose it is possible, but I just cannot theorize why someone else would intervene, or even who would." Zero wondered.

"Hey kids, check out these bracelets someone left at the cashier!" Audrey's mom said, as she showed the knight bracelets to them.

"We'll take them." Zero said, as they got their bracelets back.

"Huh, mine feels a bit...different. Yet it also feels the same." Nick said curiously.

"Who returned them?" Madison asked.

"I don't know, this has been a really crazy day. I think we should just relax." Cynthia suggested.

"I like that idea." Tori said.

"Hopefully no more creepy dudes come by and try turning us into statues." Nick said, as they laughed.

Very good, I can't wait for everything to come full circle, now that we have at least three well built up subplots (Vexacus' "alliance", Ramos' deception of Elana, and the White Knight). And since you've brought up how I read the characters' voices, I'll have you know that I totally read Deckel's lines in a British accent. (smirk)

24. Machina

Zurtrax is seen speaking to the generals, Morgana, Skipper and Ramos in the throne room.

"Sir, I believe I finally have a plan on how to destroy the guardians and knights once and for all." Zurtrax said, while Vexacus laughed.

"This will be amusing, go on." Vexacus said.

"I won't get my hopes up, considering how many other times you've "finally had a plan" only for it to fail. In fact, Skipper, get me some more tea, just so I can take a good, long, smug sip, knowing how disappointing this plan will be." Ramos said, as Skipper made the tea.

"Will this one involve Professor Zero?" Morgana taunted, as she, Vexacus, Ramos, and Skipper all laughed. Skipper then handed Ramos his tea as he began to sip it.

"No. I have invented a device that will camouflage a small surrounding. We can use it to trick them into thinking it is a rebel camp, send a false distress signal, and then strike." Zurtrax explained.

Ramos then spit out his tea at Skipper in shock.

"What do you know, that plan may be quite a show, I must confess, although it put me into quite a mess..." Skipper said, impressed, but also annoyed at the tea on him, which he began to clean up.

"That's... actually a good idea. This better work!" Ramos said, surprised.

"I'll admit, that is a passable idea, but the execution is what matters the most." Vexacus said, when Elana walked into the room, making Ramos spit out his tea again on Skipper.

"Oh come on!" Skipper complained.

"Oh...uh, hey there Princess Elana." Ramos said awkwardly.

"I'm sorry, I thought she was in her room..." Morgana whispered to Ramos.

"Hey, what were you guys discussing?" Elana asked. "Sorry if I interrupted."

"We were just discussing...um, taxes, yes! I'm debating whether if I should raise taxes or not for the citizens." Ramos replied.

"Oh, I would complain if they were raised, but I'm not an adult, so it doesn't affect me!" Elana bragged.

"Yes yes, now what are you three waiting for, a kiss on the cheek?! Go out there and raise those taxes!" Ramos yelled to the three generals, as they ran off.

Madison and Jake are seen coming home from school.

"How was school, you two?" Susan asked.

"It was fine," Madison replied.

"Eh, I could take it or leave it," Jake replied.

"Yeah, I've felt those days before, especially at work." Henry said.

Jake then got an alert from Ranen on his bracelet.

"Oh, we have to...go, sorry for the five second entrance," Jake said.

"Where are you running off to now?" Susan asked.

"We're going to hang out with friends, like we do every day." Madison replied, as both left in a hurry.

"One of these days I'm going to find out what those kids are up to..." Susan wondered.

"I'm sure they're just being normal teenagers." Henry said, laughing.

Jake and Madison meet up with the rest at Ranen's dojo.

"What's new, sir?" Jake asked to Ranen.

"I have received a distress call from rebels at a camp, who claim they are under a heavy attack from an army of Federation robots. They need your help." Ranen explained.

"Sure thing, but where is the camp?" Madison asked.

"They said it's in a small clearing near the Central Karmania Bazaar, and that one of them is stationed near it awaiting for you." Ranen replied.

"Alright, but the heart doesn't exactly open to a specific location, so I can't promise how long this will take." Madison said.

"Wait...we have a rebel camp near that? I know we have a lot, so it's not like I'm keeping tabs on all of them, but I don't recall us ever having one located near there, unless it was literally just set up today..." Nick wondered.

"Central Karmania is a large kingdom Nick, and it's not difficult to make a new camp." Zero replied.

"I'm not sure who would have the time keep track of every single camp, because I sure don't." Tori replied.

"Yes, not even I would know every single one, there are ones I've never been told about." Ranen said.

"I don't know, something about this just gives me an odd feeling, unless that's just a brain aneurysm..." Nick wondered.

"You sure you don't have always have a brain aneurysm?" Cynthia mocked.

"Hey, that's a little rude." Jake defended.

"I was just joking, Nick's a cool guy. I hope my jokes aren't as bad as Tori's now." Cynthia said.

"Hey, at least we both are in the same level of comedy now." Tori replied.

"Nick's over-analyzation can be useful, like when it helped us during the bank robberies." Cameron said.

"No, she's right. I do overthink things, it was a stupid idea, just like my idea for making an ice cream pizza when I was a kid. But never mind that, Zero is the smart one of our gang. I don't know, maybe I'm not even that smart. I guess I just have dumb luck..." Nick said.

"You are still smart, Nick. All of us are. You have helped me in ways I couldn't imagine. You just have a different form of showing your intelligence levels, and use a more deeper approach, you look at what I do not see on a surface level." Zero explained.

"Yeah, good thing I have this trusty magic aura reading power." Nick said, waving it in the air, and reading their auras.

"How did you even get that power anyways?" Audrey asked.

"It was in a freak accident, well not so much a dangerous accident, maybe more of a little mistake. The Professor was working on ways to improve our abilities in combat, perhaps to give us magic powers just like you girls, well, not elemental magic, just basic magic, although I wouldn't even call this magic. One day, he used a machine to try analyzing my aura and tapping into my brain..." Nick was explaining, as a flashback shows him being analyzed by the machine.

"This won't hurt a bit, Nick." Zero said.

"It feels funny...and also...shocking...uh oh..."  Nick was saying, as the machine broke off a bit and let out a bolt at him. "AAAAHHH!!!"

"Oh dear, that was an unintended error, let me turn it off!" Zero said, as he shut down the machine and took it off of Nick. "Are you unharmed?"

"I think I'm fine, it's kind of like that one really painful part at the dentist. My head hurts a bit though, but I think I'm fine, I could be wrong, though. Should I be worried?" Nick asked.

"You sound as normal as you usually sound, so I would say no. My apologies again for the malfunction." Zero said, working on the machine.

Nick then felt an odd sense in his right fin, and he waved it through the air at Zero, seeing his green glow.

"Whoa, cool...and probably not supposed to happen..." Nick said, ending the flashback.

"Wow, so it was a freak accident. Your power lets you basically read the auras of everything around you?" Madison asked.

"Yeah, it was how I figured out something wasn't quite right about that Thorn girl. Anyways, that's enough of my backstory I've given you dudes...or dudettes...or whatever, let's go!" Nick said, pumped up.

Madison then opened a portal with the heart, as the eight went through. They arrived in a forest, and saw a rebel nearby.

"Oh, hello. You must have received my signal, thank you for coming." the rebel said

"Hey, so where's the camp?" Jake asked.

"Follow me." the rebel replied, as the eight powered up and transformed.

"Hmm...." Nick said, as he waved his fin through the air and read the rebel's aura, and then tapped on Jake's knight shoulder.

"What is it?" Jake asked.

"There's something off about that rebel, and not because he's a fish from another dimension, I mean he's different than other rebel auras..." Nick whispered.

"I don't know, but I'll keep my defenses ready." Jake replied.

They arrived at the clearing, seeing weapons and tents set up.

"Where are the robots?" Cameron asked.

"Or the other rebels for that matter?" Tori asked, confused.

"They ran off to get help. The robots are still lurking through these forests..." the rebel said.

Nick then looked at the tents, and waved his right hand through the air again, analyzing the tents. He had an odd look, and then touched the tent, causing it to go static.

"Whoa, that's one...funky tent." Tori said, noticing it disappearing to reveal two orange Slayers.

"Great, was this another trap?!" Cynthia asked, annoyed.

"Who are you really?" Cameron asked, pointing his sword to the rebel, but they laughed, as their camouflage turned off to show Vexacus.

The weapon supplies, some trees around them, and the tents also revealed more Slayers along with Zurtrax and Motordrone.

"Yup, another trap. I think we all know the drill." Madison said, as she made the heart glow and launched a blast quickly at a black Slayer, frying it.

"Yes, you fell right into my trap, fools!" Vexacus said, shooting explosions at them, as the girls flew around, while the guys ran and jumped around to avoid them.

"You mean my trap! With this device, I just simply camouflaged the setting," Zurtrax explained, holding out a small device.

It shined a light onto a black Slayer, turning it into a tree, but he turned it off, as it went back to normal.

"I will admit, this was actually a pretty creative plan for a change, maybe you're learning some new tricks!" Cameron said, slicing through some Slayers with Jake.

"Yeah, I sensed something was off about that rebel dude, who turned out to be shark dude, and then I realized that tent wasn't real, so busted!" Nick bragged, as a blue Slayer fired at him.

"Watch out!" Audrey yelled, as she picked up Nick in a gust to move him out of the way, as the blast went firing into another black Slayer.

"Oh, thanks Audrey! But yeah, detective Nick has once again solved another case!" Nick said.

"Nick was right about something again instead of Zero? What's next, Cynthia saves me?" Tori was asking, as she caught two Slayers in a whirlpool, but Motordrone fired a laser at her, when Cynthia quickly blocked it with a rock, and shot it at Motordrone, sending him flying back.

"You were saying?" Cynthia asked.

"Either I'm a psychic or this is a weird day." Tori said, as Zurtrax shot out electric blasts at all of them.

"A clever new trick, but still the same old lackeys! You guys really need to step up your game!" Jake said, as he sliced through a blue Slayer, and jumped in the air, flying down and slicing through more black ones.

"I told you Nick, you can see solutions to problems I could never see. We may have different paths, but our destination is the same endpoint," Zero said, as he sliced at a Slayer. Nick attacked it from behind, as it sparked and exploded.

"Yeah, but it's still a good thing we have you, doc. You can help solve technical problems, while I just look deeper into mundane problems...but I'm not sure if a bank robbery and fake rebel camp are mundane," Nick wondered, as Zero got in a way to block a laser blast headed to Nick.

Zurtrax overheard this, and shot an electric blast at Zero, who blocked it with his sword. He jumped up and began attacking Zurtrax. Zero let out a shock bolt at Zurtrax's hand, knocking the device out. Zero then kicked him aside, as he sliced the device in half, destroying it.

"No, my device! Another work of mine you've ruined!" Zurtrax yelled, as he clashed swords with Zero, but Zero punched him again, letting out another shock to Zurtrax's armor.

"Alright, just those three are left!" Madison said, as she shot another heart blast that destroyed the last Slayer.

"I'm getting tired of these three, let's make this quick. Zero, move it or you're going flying!" Cynthia said, seeing the three generals in the same area.

Zero then jumped out of the way, as Cynthia made the ground rise up, carrying the three generals. She sent it flying, as the three screamed.

"Alright, maybe we should get Ranen to keep track of all the rebel camps from now on..." Jake said.

"At least now there's a big hole in this forest, if anybody wants to use that for any reasons. Actually, maybe I could turn that into a nice pool..." Tori said, as she used her water powers to fill up the hole with water. "There, I've marked that as my own personal pool!"

"Let's get back before those three can learn how to run fast," Madison said, as they headed back for the portal.

The three are seen landing in a lake, as the three get out of it.

"Fool, your plan failed again!" Vexacus yelled to Zurtrax.

"No matter, I have seen a solution out of this..." Zurtrax said, recalling Nick's words about Zero.

"I don't see you offering any plans." Motordrone said to Vexacus.

"When I have a plan, I'll bring it to the table. I need time to plan them out instead of rushing them like this fool!" Vexacus said, walking off.

"This defeat does not deter me, for I have seen a new door unlocked from it..." Zurtrax said.

The generals are seen reporting back to Ramos's throne room, but Zurtrax is not there.

"Gee, let me guess..." Ramos was saying.

"We failed, sir. I apologi-" Vexacus was saying.

"No apologies needed, you three knuckleheads are really starting to get on my last nerves! Wait...where is Zurtrax anyways when you need him?" Ramos asked.

"Don't know, he could be crying over his failure. I promise I'll have a plan in place-" Vexacus was saying.

"No need for that, general. I must speak to Zurtrax..." Ramos said, getting up and walking off.

Zurtrax is seen in the castle lab working on a new device, when Ramos walks in to meet him.

"GENERAL!" Ramos yelled, startling Zurtrax.

"Sir, I am glad you could come, I am almost done making adjustments for my next plan," Zurtrax said.

"Yeah, about your plans...come outside into the hall, buddy," Ramos said, putting his fin on his shoulder, and escorted him out.

"What is it?" Zurtrax asked, as Vexacus and Morgana were overhearing from the corner of another hallway.

"I'm afraid you've had one failure too many. This next plan better work, or you're out!" Ramos said.

"Out?" Zurtrax asked.

"Out as in getting your behind out of my army and castle!" Ramos added.

"Let me work this out, I am 94.57% certain this will bring the guardians and knights' dooms." Zurtrax said, showing his device.

"What does it do?" Ramos asked.

"This device will inject a virus into any mechanical substance, granting me full control over them. If I cannot beat Professor Zero, I can make him join me. I can turn him into an unstoppable machine to turn against his own allies. He will obey my every command." Zurtrax said, laughing, as Vexacus and Morgana felt nervous hearing this.

"Another plan involving Professor Zero? This time though, IT'S GENIUS! Diabolical even! However, I think I need to see this action first, knowing your executions!" Ramos said.

"Not to worry, I'll demonstrate right now." Zurtrax said, as he threw out a black Slayer ball.

The Slayer formed out, as Zurtrax made a needle form out of the remote, injecting it into the Slayer. He hit a button, which let out a blue electric charge. The Slayer began to shake oddly, and then stood up still.

"Give me your command, master Zurtrax." the Slayer said.

"Attack me with no mercy." Zurtrax said, as the Slayer fired at him, but Zurtrax pulled out his sword and blocked the blast. "Stop."

The Slayer then stopped, bowing to him.

"Excellent! You always were my best general!" Ramos said.

"Thank you, sir-" Zurtrax was saying.

"Don't get too happy. This is your FINAL chance. Do NOT come back to this castle unless you give me physical proof the guardians and knights are history!" Ramos ordered.

"I will not let you down. Once Professor Zero is corrupted, his allies will stand no chance." Zurtrax replied.

"You better not. Succeed and you will find yourself as my general #1 again, since Vexacus sure ain't doing much!" Ramos said, as he walked off.

"Did you hear that? "He always was his best general"?" Morgana asked to Vexacus.

"I heard, I heard!" Vexacus replied.

"Is this how your brilliant plan is supposed to go? Zurtrax will take your position again?" Morgana asked.

"Zurtrax is in way over his head by trying to take them all out. I will admit his new machine is impressive, but he has failed in every mission he has ever attempted! History is on our side there!" Vexacus said.

"But so have you, dummy." Morgana said.

"Not quite, child. I was able to get the unicorn magic and the gemstone, so I have two victories over him. Still, he is bound to mess up. I'll standby waiting for him to be destroyed by the children, then I'll take my rightful place as the leader of Ramos's army and as king!" Vexacus bragged.

"You mean WE will take OUR places, shark face!" Morgana corrected.

"Um, why yes, of course!" Vexacus replied.

The girls and knights arrive back at the dojo, as Madison closes the portal behind.

"Hey commander, you really need to keep track of your rebel camps more, because that ended up being a trap." Cynthia said.

"It was a trap? I am so sorry for putting you all at danger." Ranen replied.

"It's fine commander, we had no issues like usual. Ramos's lackeys used some hologram stuff to disguise the camp, but we showed them." Madison explained.

"Alright, that's all fine and dandy, but I think it's time we finally took a plan to somehow rescue Elana. Think about it, we just gave a beating to his goons, so they are probably tired." Cynthia suggested.

"She has a point, plus, October 16th is only in a few days..." Cameron added.

"I suppose it doesn't hurt to try, but we can't say for certain if it will work." Jake replied.

"We can always take advantage of Ramos's castle tours, which are still going on. If I can do it, so can we. It'll be just like when we rescued Maddie," Cynthia said.

"I'm not so sure about this..." Nick said, as they were confused.

"Why not? This seems like a pretty good idea." Audrey asked.

"Sorry Nick, but I am on their side. Logically, this seems like the best time to reason with Elana now with Ramos's defenses lowered." Zero replied.

"I just don't know. This seems a bit too easy and straightforward, like a game of hopscotch. Plus, what if they have some powerful new thing to use against us?" Nick asked.

"That's a what if. We won't know until we go." Jake replied.

"I approve this idea. Sorry Carson, but it is now or never. Plus, this would be unexpected for Ramos." Ranen replied.

"Alright, but I still got a funny feeling about this...unless that's another aneurysm," Nick said, as they all laughed.

"I still have my disguises from our Maddie rescue last time, so this will be an easy get in." Cynthia said.

The eight are seen in disguises, getting in line for Ramos's castle tours. They go in to see Morgana and Elana greeting the tourists, while guards were now in charge of the treasure shop. Cynthia was surprised to see Elana, but kept a down-low as they kept walking. In a security room, guards are looking at an image of the heroes' disguises.

"Hmm...there's something vaguely familiar about those tourists." one of the guards said, enhancing the image.

"They kind of look like the guardian girls and knight guys..." another guard said.

"It is them, I can confirm. Looks like the prey has come into my domain." Zurtrax said.

As the crowd went by, the eight followed Elana and Morgana down a hallway.

"Elana!" Madison yelled, as the two turned around.

"Um... hello, this isn't an area for tourists..." Morgana said, confused.

Cynthia took off her sunglasses, as Elana gasped.

"So can I like remove this disguise now? It is pretty cool, so I'm fine with keeping it on...oh right, hey Elana, we're here to rescue you." Nick greeted, as the rest took off their disguises.

"Elana, listen to us. Ramos is evil, we're the good guys." Madison said to her.

"Don't listen to them, they have lied to you!" Morgana insisted.

"I told you all to go away, in a few days I'll be able to help make Karmania a better place, and you won't stop me! Ramos has been helping me train my powers. I didn't want to do this, but..." Elana said, as she began to glow and shot out a light beam at the eight, as they all got knocked to the floor.

The two dumb guards appeared from behind.

"We're here to arrest someone!" one said.

"But arrest who?" the other asked.

"Guards, seize those eight for trespassing!" Morgana said.

"Oh, ok. Wait, one...two...three...four...five...six...seven...eight! And there's one...two of us, that doesn't seem fair!" the other guard complained.

"Oh hey, you guys can count now." Madison said smugly.

"Elana, listen to me-" Cynthia was saying, when Zurtrax appeared from the other end of the hall with more guards.

"Well, I guess this plan was a bust." Cameron said, as he got up and punched one of the two dumb guards in the face, and grabbed the other, tossing him to the floor.

"AAAHHH, I'VE BEEN ASSAULTED!" one yelled.

"Miss Elana and Morgana, please move so we can fire at the trespassers!" Zurtrax ordered, as they fired at once.

Zero threw a smoke bomb, as the eight made an escape.

"Okay, I guess I was in over my head a bit with this plan, sorry guys..." Cynthia said, as she coughed from the smoke.

Zurtrax then used his scanners to look through the smoke, as he saw Zero. He ran up to him and let out a shock pulse at Zero, as he fell to the ground. He then picked Zero up, as the other seven made it out of the castle.

Zero is then seen being thrown onto a table in the lab, as Zurtrax strapped him on.

"Well Professor Zero, it appears for once I finally got to be better than you." Zurtrax bragged.

"Smitty, please reconsider this. I never had any ill will towards you-" Zero was saying.

"Quiet, I am no longer known by that name thanks to you. You got the Federation job before me, outranked me at the university, but this time, you are below me..." Zurtrax said, as he grabbed the device.

"What are you talking about?" Zero asked, struggling to move.

Zurtrax then injected the device into Zero's arm, as it let out the virus into his system.

"ERROR, SYSTEM COMPROMISED, FOREIGN VIRUS DETECTED..." Zero was saying, malfunctioning.

Zurtrax let the machine go, as Zero's eyes then glowed blue.

"Give me your command, master Zurtrax." Zero said.

"It worked. But stay put, you need some upgrades, old "friend"..." Zurtrax said, as Zero showed his mechanical parts.

The seven were seen outside the castle.

"Alright, so Elana still doesn't like us. Yeah, this isn't good." Tori said.

"Um...where is Zero?" Audrey asked, looking around.

"I thought he was with us...oh man, he must still be in there!" Jake said, as the seven went to run back into the castle,

They ran back in, as Ramos was still giving tours. Elana had been escorted to her room with Morgana.

"Are you okay?" Morgana asked.

"I'm fine, but they won't stop bugging me." Elana said, sighing.

"Do not worry, they won't bug you for much longer..." Morgana said.

The seven explored the castle, avoiding guards and soldiers. They made their way to Ramos's throne room up ahead.

"That must be Ramos's room, and jeez, his style sense for those doors is terrible." Cynthia criticized.

Zero then appeared from behind them.

"Hello." Zero said to them, as they were startled, but relieved to see him.

"Oh hey doc, are you okay?" Tori asked.

Zero then powered up into his knight form.

"Hey dude, is everything okay?" Jake asked.

Zero then walked up and pushed Cynthia, as she fell to the ground.

"Hey, what was that for?! Are you still mad...well, if robots can be mad, about me criticizing you a while back? I thought we were cool now!" Cynthia said, confused, getting up.

He then pulled out his sword and sliced it at Nick, as he quickly dodged.

"Whoa, uh dude, I'm not really sure what's going on, but I get the feeling this isn't a prank, because you don't have a sense of humor!" Nick said, confused.

"You all must be destroyed." Zero said.

Zurtrax then walked up, as he held onto Zero's shoulder. The eight stood on the other side, confused.

"What did you do to Zero?!" Madison asked.

"He is under my control. In the midst of your escape, I captured him when you weren't looking. He now only serves me, and me only. I've also given him some upgrades. Zero, destroy them." Zurtrax ordered, as Zero opened up his arm to reveal a blaster, as he fired beams at all eight, making them fall to the ground.

"Zero buddy, snap out of it!" Nick yelled to him.

"Targets down. Proceed with capture?" Zero asked.

"No. Unfortunately, the King has company over, so I am not going to risk a struggle that would blow his cover. Consider this a test of Zero's new power. If you want to settle this once and for all, meet me at the Mud Valley. I will let you have some time to live out of a general's honor. Unless you'd like me to put you out of your misery now." Zurtrax said, as Vexacus overheard this.

Jake then threw a smoke bomb, as the eight escaped. Zurtrax didn't care, as he and Zero walked off. The heroes regrouped back at the Golden Seahorse.

"Man, what do we do? I'm not a computer geek, I wouldn't know how to fix him..." Tori said, concerned.

"If only Zero had given a backup manual for any incidents like hackings, but I know he probably didn't think that far ahead in his life..." Nick said.

"It's all my fault, I shouldn't have suggested the idea of rescuing Elana so fast." Cynthia said, sighing.

"Rescuing her was the logical move in this time. But emotionally, it was not the right choice." Mai said.

"Yeah, I guess Nick was right again...for the second time today." Tori said.

"Wow, that has to be a world record, not that there is a world record for that, but it would be cool if there was one for people like me being right a lot in a day-" Nick was rambling.

"Nick, focus." Jake reminded.

"Right, sorry. Should we take up robo dude's offer and fight?" Nick asked.

"We really don't have any other choices." Madison replied.

"Yeah, we have to get our friend back." Audrey said.

"But we do understand we may have to hurt Zero if necessary, before he hurts us..." Cameron said.

Zurtrax and Zero are seen at a cemetery, as Zurtrax reads a tombstone.

"Dr. Tristan Smith, Respected Scientist and Mechanic. 1990 - 2013." Zurtrax read on it. "That is what they think happened to me. No matter, I will become known again..."

The heroes are seen walking through Mud Valley. Zurtrax and Zero stood across from them.

"Welcome to your dooms. I admire your courage to bother fighting." Zurtrax said.

"We won't let you corrupt another friend of ours." Madison said, as Vexacus and Morgana were seen looking at them from a cliff.

"Let's sit back and enjoy the show..." Vexacus said.

The heroes powered up.

"Attack." Zurtrax ordered, as Zero opened both of his fins to reveal blasters, firing at once at all eight.

Zurtrax then let out multiple electric blasts, as the girls launched their attacks at him, but Zero countered with more laser blasts. Madison then threw a heart blast at Zurtrax, who then hit a button on the remote.

"Plasma beam." Zurtrax ordered, as Zero began to charge the two blasters together, as he let out a plasma beam at Madison, knocking her down to the mud ground.

"Capture." Zurtrax ordered, as Zero pulled out a gun with his knight scanner embedded into it. He fired a blast at Madison, as it captured her in a plasma bubble.

"What the, I think he reprogramed Zero's scanner!" Jake said.

"This isn't good-" Cameron was saying, when Zero fired a blast at Cameron, trapping him in a plasma bubble.

Cynthia picked up the muddy rocks and threw them at Zurtrax, but Zero launched another plasma beam through the rocks.

"Zero, you have to snap out of it!" Madison begged.

"Don't even bother, it won't work." Zurtrax said, shooting electric blasts back at Cynthia and Audrey, as they moved out of the way.

Zero was targeting the two, and had better accuracy, as he fired his capturer at the two, trapping them in the plasma bubbles. Tori surrounded Zurtrax in a whirlpool, as Jake and Nick fought him off, who was thrown off to the side. Zero fired a plasma bubble at Jake, as Nick barely avoided it.

"It's just you and me, dude. Doc, I don't want to do this, but-" Tori was saying, about to throw a water blast at Zero, but he shot a plasma beam at her. "Never mind."

"Great, since these are designed to null magic powers, the girls can't use their powers to get out either." Jake said.

"Come on Nick, you are Zero's closest friend, you must have some way..." Madison said.

"I can't believe it, could Zurtrax...win?" Vexacus asked, still observing.

"Green knight, you are the only one left." Zurtrax said, as Nick stood in-between Zurtrax and Zero.

"Yeah, I guess I am. But am I really? Is this it?" Nick asked.

"What are you saying?" Zurtrax asked.

"I mean, you could do the logical route and just capture me, go ahead. But is that really fun? Don't you want a challenge?" Nick asked, stalling for time, as he picked up rocks from the ground.

"Capture?" Zero asked.

"Yes." Zurtrax ordered.

"The sum of three angles of a triangle equals 180 degrees..." Nick said to himself, as he was doing math calculations in his head, forming triangles leading to Zero's gun and Zurtrax's remote.

Nick then threw a rock up high, and jumped out of the way, avoiding Zero's plasma blast. He then batted the rock he threw right into Zero's gun, as it jammed it. He then threw another rock, and hit it with his sword right onto Zurtrax's remote, knocking it out of his hand.

"I really hope Nick knows what he is doing..." Audrey said nervously.

"What are you doing?!" Zurtrax asked, as Nick threw another rock up, and batted it with his sword right at Zero's head.

He then blasted a laser beam at Nick, but he threw his sword right at the beam, as it deflected off and went flying straight onto Zurtrax's remote, who picked it up.

"GAHHH!" Zurtrax yelled, feeling the blast, as it caused the remote to explode.

Zero was about to shoot the plasma gun, but he dropped it and looked around.

"Nick did it!" Cynthia said, surprised.

"Three times in a row today...yeah, the world has entered an odd time." Tori said.

"I just don't understand how you had the time to plan all of that." Cameron said.

"I didn't, I just winged that on the fly." Nick said, laughing.

"I remember it all now...Smitty captured me and infected me. Nick, thank you for saving my life. What did he do to my scanner?" Zero asked, seeing the gun. He then ripped the scanner off and threw the gun to the ground, as everyone was freed from the bubbles.

"I don't understand...I thought Zero was the smart one, how did that fool outsmart me?!" Zurtrax asked.

"I might not be as smart as the professor, but if there's one thing I am good at, it's really illogical solutions to problems that I don't think any sane being would consider. Oh and by the way, my name's not "Green knight", it's Nick." Nick said, as he picked up the broken plasma gun and sent it flying right at Zurtrax.

Madison then launched a heart blast at it, as it exploded right into Zurtrax, sending him flying to the ground.

"Why do I have such monstrous weapons on my hands?" Zero asked, turning the lasers on. "Smitty, I tried to reason with you, but I have no choice..."

"This isn't over professor, I will destroy all of you!" Zurtrax yelled, getting out his electric sword.

Cynthia then launched rocks at him, Audrey spun him around into a tornado, Tori spun him around into a whirlpool, and Madison launched a heart blast at him, as he was being overpowered.

"This will be the first and last time I use wretched Federation technology like this!" Zero said, as he fired the laser blasts at Zurtrax, as it sent him flying right into a muddy mountain.

"NOOOO!" Zurtrax yelled, as he exploded into it, being covered in mud and rocks.

Zero then ripped off the lasers and threw them to the ground.

"Glad to have you back, professor." Jake said.

"Yeah, my strange and illogical brain still isn't enough to help with your logical and not strange robot brain." Nick said, smiling.

"It was my fault, I shouldn't have made us try to rescue Elana," Cynthia said to Zero.

"It is not your fault, it was my fault for being caught off guard. I am proud of you Nick, you are a worthy apprentice. Now I need to remove whatever strange upgrades Smitty did to my system." Zero said, as they all walked off.

"Really, I'm surprised you didn't get hacked sooner." Tori said.

"Yeah, maybe you should prepare a back-up plan next time." Madison suggested.

...

Zurtrax is seen crawling out of the rubble, as he was sparking and smoking. He barely was able to walk along the muddy path.

"Ugh...I-I was so close. There will never be a day I win at anything. I always have to suffer at the hands of them, will it ever end?!" Zurtrax ranted.

"Nice job shark face, your plan failed, robo head lives!" Morgana said, looking at Zurtrax from the distance.

"Not for long!" Vexacus yelled, as he activated his teleportation device and jumped into the air, disappearing.

Out of the smoke, Vexacus appeared, walking towards Zurtrax.

"Well, hello Zurtrax!" Vexacus greeted, as he kept walking.

"Vexacus, what are you doing here?" Zurtrax asked.

"I have to admit Zurtrax, I admire your efforts. You are a general to be respected." Vexacus said.

"Is that right? Perhaps we should join forces, as you can tell, I am not in the best condition..." Zurtrax was saying, struggling to move.

"Not in this lifetime, friend." Vexacus said, as he then shot an explosive at Zurtrax, making his sword break.

"YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT!" Zurtrax yelled.

Vexacus then turned invisible again before Zurtrax could attack, as he appeared right in front of him and slashed right through him, causing him to spark more.

"Your days are over, Zurtrax, and mine...ARE JUST BEGINNING!" Vexacus yelled, as he sliced his sword through Zurtrax one last time. He kept sparking and smoking.

"Goodbye, Zurtrax!" Vexacus said, as Zurtrax kept groaning in pain.

Vexacus then turned around and walked away. From behind, Zurtrax fell to the ground and exploded, while Vexacus kept walking and laughing.

Yay, a Zero and Nick episode. What a lovely birthday gift. :D I like that what sets Nick apart from Laneld from Storm Racers is that Laneld was a bit egotistical and Nick is very humble. And I actually felt sorry for Zurtrax, it would make for some very dark humor if Vexacus found his tombstone.

I really liked this episode. I liked how Nick was put as the focus, and the backstory on his 'powers' was nice, they definitely come in handy. Him also being the one to save Zero was great. Also, I like Snake's take on the difference between Laneld and Nick. I can totally see the 'egotistic' vs 'humble' distinction.

Also, don't worry Nick, the 'ice cream pizza' is totally a good idea ?:

what MS and teenj said above, i reallty like how the difference between Nick and Laneld as crazy smart vs humble battle, and I kinda felt bad for Zutrtrax being kicked by his own general since he almost had it.

Overall, it was fantastic episode :plankton:

25. Red

The girls and boys are seen chasing a fancy Karmanian through the Bazaar. He wore a blue tuxedo and had gold sunglasses on.

"YOU'LL NEVER TAKE BIG C ALIVE!" the Karmanian yelled, as they threw out multiple Slayer balls, forming them. He then ran into an alley.

"What does this guy have again?" Audrey asked.

"This is Beethmore C. Deisenhuzor, a rich Karmanian mobster. He has plans on where secret Federation bases are located, which is valuable to the rebels." Zero explained.

"I'm not even going to try to pronounce that name," Tori replied, throwing water blasts at a blue Slayer.

"Getting the plans from this guy will help us destroy some bases," Cameron said, smashing through a Slayer.

Beethmore is seen hiding in an alley.

"WOO, Big C is safe! They'll never find me here!" Beethmore said, as he took a deep breath.

Suddenly, the girls floated right in front of him, as Cynthia threw the head of a blue Slayer onto the ground.

"Yeah, you shouldn't really say that out loud." Cynthia said smugly, as the knights appeared, cornering him.

"TAKE WHATEVER YOU WANT! BIG C WILL GIVE YOU GOLD, KESO COINS, WHATEVER!" Beethmore begged, falling to the ground.

"Just give us the Federation base plan thingies, Beethmore. Heh, Beethmore. That's a funny word." Nick said.

"DON'T CALL ME THAT! Call me "Big C"! Fine, Big C will give you the stupid things, just let me go!" Beethmore said, throwing three data chips at Jake's fin, as he caught them. "Psh, I didn't need them anyways! Later, losers!"

Beethmore then made a run for it.

"Weirdo." Madison said.

Beethmore is seen meeting underground in a Karmanian sewer with two other mobsters.

"Ay yo Big C, what did ya call us up for?" one of them asked, who had a mustache, bowler hat, and fancy brown suit.

"Listen Vito and Stout, as three of the most powerful mobsters in Karmania, Big C needs help from you two! A bunch of prepubescent girls and their knights tried attacking Big C, that's not cool man, NOT COOL!" Beethmore said.

"You must mean those mermaid girls, the guardians, and their knights? Aye lad, I hear they've been causing quite a bit of trouble for Ramos and the Federation. I'd give him a piece of my mind if I saw 'em..." Stout replied, who was big, wearing fancy glasses, and waving out his brass knuckles.

"I've heard about 'em, I can't sleep at nights thinking about what they'd do to me or my robots..." Vito said, nervous.

From the wall, Diggy is seen digging through and popping his head out.

"Hey there guys, can I join your secret club?-" Diggy was asking.

"DIGGY, GO AWAY!!!" all three yelled at once.

"Well, okay. Have fun with your secret meeting!" Diggy replied nervously, as he quickly dug back through the hole and left.

"Great, I don't know what smells more: The smelly mole, or the sewer!" Stout said, holding his nose.

"Gentlemen, I may have a solution to your problem..." Broodwing said, as he appeared out of the shadows.

"Broodwing, how long were you standing there?! No matter, Big C has a few complaints! The robots you gave us have failed, mine got turned into junk piles thanks to those mermaid girls and their knights!" Beethmore complained.

"My apologies, but I believe I have a bodyguard of sorts who can help take care of them for you..." Broodwing said.

A fish walked out of the shadows, who was wearing a red hat, red shirt, and red bandana over their face, as they looked like a thug.

"Who the heck is this?" Stout asked.

"A mercenary from the other side. He has quite a criminal reputation there, and volunteered for some...enhancements..." Broodwing said.

"Ey, just because he looks tough doesn't make him no more fancy than the rest of us!" Vito said.

"Hola chicos. They call me "Red". There is much more to me than meets the eye..." Red said, as he showed out his fin, showing there was a device on it with a wire going down his arm. The device began to glow red...

Vexacus is seen before Ramos in the throne room.

"Who told you you could destroy Zurtrax?!" Ramos asked annoyed to Vexacus

"Forgive me, but I thought you'd be pleased. A mighty king deserves a mighty general at his side. Zurtrax had done nothing but fail you!" Vexacus replied.

"I suppose that's true... and I did say it was his final chance..." Ramos said, thinking about it.

"So in the end I did you a favor, correct?" Vexacus asked.

"Even so, in the future you will not destroy my men without my direct orders!" Ramos ordered.

"As you wish, my master..." Vexacus replied eerily, and Motordrone looked at him oddly.

"Now, since you are my #1 general, I expect a plan at the end of the day on exactly how to defeat the guardians!-" Ramos demanded, when Vexacus pulled out a paper. "What's that?"

"A plan to defeat the guardians and knights." Vexacus replied.

"That might not be necessary, I have a plan of my own..." Broodwing said, as he hopped down from the ceiling, startling the crew.

"Were you seriously hanging up there until now?" Skipper asked.

"Yes. Yes I was." Broodwing replied, adjusting his cape.

"Well that's nice, but I already have a plan I was about to tell King Ramos. Now-" Vexacus was saying on.

"Hold your horses Vexacus, let me hear what Broodwing has to bring to the table..." Ramos said, curious.

"You may enter." Broodwing said to the hallway, as Red walked in.

"Who the heck is this trash off the street?" Ramos asked.

"They call me "Red", amigo." Red introduced.

"Wait...Red?! You mean, THE criminal Red?!" Skipper asked nervously. "You were a dangerous thief in the past, can we trust him to last?"

"My criminal activities have died down. I have been...busy." Red replied.

"What makes him so special?" Vexacus asked.

"I agree, I'm not impressed. I work with criminal monsters everyday, what makes you stand out, Red boy? Broodwing, you better explain, or I'll just listen to shark face's plan." Ramos replied.

"He's a mercenary. A powerful one. There is more to him than appears. Give him a chance." Broodwing offered.

"Fine, some of my soldiers can make good practice." Ramos said, smiling, as he pointed to two soldiers at the door.

They were about to run away, but Vexacus grabbed them and threw them in front of Red. Red grabbed both and smashed them together. One fell to the ground, as he tripped the other and grabbed onto them, spinning them around. He then delivered a karate chop right into then, sending them flying onto the floor. He landed on top of the other.

"Ow, I think I broke everything..." the soldier said.

"I've seen better." Vexacus said, unimpressed.

"Impressive. Do whatever you wish to them in Karmania, just not in Posidonia Fields, if your criminal instinct can handle that." Ramos demanded.

"Si, rey." Red replied.

"Does he even know what Karmania is?" Skipper asked.

"I caught him up to speed. I just know how to lure them into a trap, no worries..." Broodwing said.

The guardians and knights are later seen chasing Vito through the Bazaar.

"Alright, now who is this guy?" Madison asked.

"This is Vitaliano Harlen, another Karmanian mobster." Zero explained.

"A rebel reported that he had more secret Federation base plans," Cameron added.

"Ay yo, leave poor Vito alone!" Vito demanded.

"We will if you just give us what we want!" Cynthia said, trapping him with the ground, and trapping his legs in rock.

Vito then reached for his pocket and threw out multiple Slayer balls, as they attacked. One broke him free, as he made a run for it. Jake jumped up and sliced an orange Slayer's head off, as he went flying down, tackling Vito.

"Get off of me! Help!" Vito yelled.

Jake then picked him up by the shirt, as the others had destroyed the remaining Slayers.

"Deja vu." Tori said.

"Where are the plans?" Jake asked.

"Haha, silly idiots, I ain't got no plans! You've been duped!" Vito revealed, laughing, showing his empty pockets.

"That's cool and all, but where's the trap? If you're luring us into a trap, it's not a very good one." Cynthia said snidely.

"This isn't the trap..." Vito said, as Jake dropped him to the ground, and Vito began laughing.

From behind them, Red appeared, wearing a red cape around him. Jake and Madison were surprised to see him.

"No, that can't be. Is that really you?" Jake asked.

"Jake, you know that guy?" Audrey asked.

"Jake? As in...Jake Landers?" Red asked.

"Yeah...Red. Long time no see..." Jake said worried, powering down to show himself to him.

"Believe it baby, I'm back!" Red said, laughing.

"That really is him...But how are you here?!" Madison asked, confused.

"Okay, can we have a time out for exposition? How do you two know this guy?" Nick asked, confused.

"That's Red, one of the most wanted criminals in the sea. I know him because him and his posse used to bug Maddie and I back when we lived in Algaeton Heights for a few years. It wasn't a very good place to be in. There was a bit of crime, and our parents couldn't make much money. Of course, Madison and I were young, so we tried to make the best of the situation." Jake said, as a flashback shows a young Jake and Madison at a pretty cheap playground.

"Yay!" a fish said, swinging on a swing-set, when it broke off, making them fall. "Ouch."

"Well, key word is tried." Madison said.

"Anyways, the place was crawling with criminal activity. People had to steal to survive..." Jake said, as another flashback shows Henry walking out of a store holding grocery bags. He is then confronted by three young teenage fish.

"Hey old man, give us your goods!" one threatened.

"I'm not old! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get home!" Henry said, but one tripped him, as he dropped the groceries. They stole them, laughed and ran off. "Come on, I just paid for those! Well, you can keep the salads since I didn't really want to buy those, but still, CURSE YOU!!!"

"So, I sometimes...stole stuff too. I used to be a thief." Jake admitted.

"You were a thief?! Man, that breaks my heart, I can't believe you'd rob people. Why Jake, WHY?!" Nick asked, shocked.

"What, no, I didn't threaten people! I just stole what I could find," Jake said, as a flashback shows him seeing a dollar on a sidewalk. He looks around for anybody and takes it. "Okay, well I did steal some things unfairly, but you had to steal to survive..."

A flashback shows Jake sneaking around a house with a group of other kids. A pie was on a windowsill, as Jake grabbed it and made a run for it. The home owner went to the window to see the missing pie.

"I'LL GET YOU CRAZY KIDS!!!" the owner yelled, waving his fist.

"I admit, I'm not proud, but these were relatively minor in the grand scheme of things. It's not like I robbed any banks, harassed people, or anything extreme to that extent..." Jake said, looking at Red, who laughed.

"I don't know man, stealing food can be a serious crime. I know a guy who was in prison for 19 years just for stealing a loaf of bread! Well, that was in a story, so I don't really know them, but still." Nick said.

"Okay, that's tragic and all, but what's the story behind this dude?" Cynthia asked.

"And I really hope Red isn't your real name, because if it is, your parents must have hated you." Tori mocked.

"I appreciate the concern chica, but Red is not my real name. It is a nickname I use to hide from the authorities. My real name is a secret." Red replied.

"What are you waiting for?! Stop listening to their boring story and attack them already!" Vito demanded.

"No, I will let Jacob finish his tale." Red replied.

"Okay, um, if you insist. Me and the other kids formed a nice circle, but..." Jake was saying, as a flashback shows Jake and the other young fish walking through the park.

As they kept walking, they came close to a broken fence gate with a "NO TRESPASSERS ALLOWED", which had ruined buildings on the other side.

"Gee gollies, let's not get too close to there. Red and his gang hang out around these parts!" a fish said, scared.

"This park isn't their territory, so we don't need to worry!" another fish said.

Several thugs watched them from the gate, and they jumped over it, as they approached the crowd.

"Well well well, looks like we got ourselves a bunch of children. You shouldn't be out this late..." the thug said, laughing.

"This isn't your territory, we mean no harm!" Jake said.

"You are still walking in my turf, amigos." Red said, appearing from the crowd.

"Oh no, not Red!" another fish said, scared.

"I'll let you all off the hook this one time. Come back, and you will not like the results..." Red threatened

The kids then ran off scared, as Jake looked behind annoyed at them, while the thugs laughed.

"Hey pequeno," Red said to Jake, who stopped dead in his tracks.

"Uh...me?" Jake asked, scared.

"Si. I've seen you in action. You are quite a thief. I do not like trespassers, but we could make good allies..." Red offered, putting out his fin.

"Boss, you really want to team up with a bunch of kids?" a thug asked.

"No, I'm not like you. Leave us alone!" Jake said, as he ran back to his group. Red just looked with no reaction, ending the flashback.

"So yeah, basically people like this dude ruined Maddie and I's childhood at times. We lived in fear from criminals like him. Now then, how the heck did you get to Karmania?!" Jake asked.

"It is quite a story, but I'm afraid I don't have time to make it as long as yours. I have been sent to defeat you. I see Jake has turned red himself with his new gang, with you sharply dressed knights, and the mermaid chicas. I too have changed..." Red said.

"Sure you have. Even when we go to another dimension you still somehow follow us, creep." Madison said.

"So Ramos is working with thugs from Posidonia? He's really getting desperate." Cynthia said.

"He already works with criminals in Karmania, so I guess it's not too different." Cameron said.

"WOULD YOU JUST FIGHT ALREADY?!" Vito asked, annoyed.

"Oh hey, I forgot you were still here." Audrey said.

She then let out a gust of wind at Vito, sending him flying into the wall. Red then stood up, and flashed the device on his fin.

"What is that?" Madison asked.

"Let me show you." Red replied, as he turned it, making it glow red.

It then let out a red liquid through the tubes, flowing through Red's veins. He then began to hold his head in pain, as his body began to grow larger, along with his muscles. He let out a loud growl.

"That's not good." Jake said.

Vito then laughed, as he got up and ran off, while Red smashed his fists onto the ground. Madison launched a heart blast at him, but he jumped out of the way. Cynthia made the ground rise up in front of him, but he used his giant fist to smash right through it.

"What happened to him?!" Tori asked.

"It appears to be some form of a mutation." Zero said, analyzing him through his knight visor.

"Red always thought he was bigger and better than everyone else, so I guess I'm not surprised to see him do this!" Jake said, dodging a swing from Red.

Cameron jumped up at him and slashed his sword, but Red swatted him aside, falling to the ground. "This isn't going well."

Red then grabbed Tori and Audrey who were floating, as they tried using their powers to attack him, but he sent them flying, as they both went flying right into Zero and Nick respectively, making them fall to the ground.

"Okay, I underestimated a guy with a color for his name..." Tori said, trying to float back up.

Cynthia threw rocks at Red, but he grabbed one and threw it back at her, as she just barely avoided it, causing her hair to go flying from the wind.

"Hey, watch the hair!" Cynthia complained.

Jake ran up to Red and tried slicing him, but Red smashed his fist. Jake jumped and dodged it, but Red grabbed him with the other hand.

"Like my new form, amigo?" Red asked, laughing, as he sent Jake flying straight into a wall.

Madison shot more heart blasts at him, but he just let them hit his arm, feeling little pain. He then picked up a barrel and sent it flying to Madison, who dodged it, but it went hitting Nick, making him fall down again after just getting back up.

"Sorry!" Madison said to Nick.

"It's okay dudette, I'm okay! ...I think." Nick said, feeling some pain.

"He doesn't have any weak spots!" Jake said, trying to run to him, but Red threw another barrel at them, as Jake jumped over it.

Cynthia sent more rocks at Red, but he grabbed onto one, and whacked Jake with it, and then sent it flying back at Cynthia quickly. He then hurled another at Madison, who tried shooting a heart blast at it, but it kept flying, as it sent her flying. They all fell to the ground, tired and burnt out.

"Ugh...this guy is good." Cameron said.

Red laughed, and turned the device, as he lost all of his muscle and largeness, turning back to normal size.

"That was just a preview of my new strength. You should have taken my offer Jake, all those years ago. You could have been beside me. Oh well. Adios, amigos!" Red said, laughing, as he ran off.

The eight are seen back at the Golden Seahorse, eating food Mai had prepared for them.

"Oh my, it sounds like you took quite a beating." Mai said.

"He was too strong. He had like super strength or something." Audrey said.

"I just don't know how he teamed up with Ramos. I guess our past can never leave us alone..." Jake said, sighing.

"I'm sure we can beat him. He's just a normal fish, like those two weird hunters. Just because he has some fancy device doesn't make him special or better." Madison said.

"She is right. Just because someone is bigger, does not mean they are better." Mai said.

"Plus Jake, you are still as a statue. Remember how you reacted to those bullies earlier today?" Audrey asked, as a flashback is shown to earlier in the school day.

The girls are seen at a locker, while Jake walks down a hall. Gnarly Dewd, Steve and Bryan see him, as they smile. As Jake keeps walking, he bumps into one of them, as they stand in his way.

"Can I help you?" Jake asked, as the girls turn around to see this.

"I hear you're the brother of Madison, eh?" Bryan asked.

"Yeah, what about it?" Jake asked.

"I see you're just as ugly as she is! It must run in the family!" Bryan taunted.

"Nice one, Gnarly approves," Gnarly Dewd said, giving him a high-five.

"Cool story." Jake said, as he tried to turn around, but Steve blocked him.

"You're a loser, the only friends you have are girls! Haha! You know what we call losers like you around here? Fresh meat..." Steve said.

"Aww, that was harsh Steve, I think he's gonna cry..." Bryan said.

"Those guys need to be put in their place!" Tori said, seeing the event transpire.

"Leave him alone!" Madison said, but they ignored her.

"Look at my eyes. Do you see any tears?" Jake asked sternly, as he kept ignoring them, and Steve seemed defeated.

None of the three said anything, and gave up.

"This chump is boring me, let's go!" Bryan said, as they left.

"Wow, how do stay so calm against those bullies, Jake?" Audrey asked, approaching him.

"I would've flipped on them." Cynthia said.

"They didn't bug me." Jake said, ending the flashback.

"That was different, they can't turn into super mutants that can tear apart a building. They were just idiots. Red is different." Jake said.

"Maybe we should act like Red is a bully. Just ignore him." Nick suggested.

"We can't really ignore him when he is trying to pulverize us into the ground, but I think I get what you are going for. Or not." Cameron said.

"I think he means to ignore any taunts Red throws our way. Just treat him like a normal enemy. We've fought much bigger creatures such as The Smasher. Red is no different." Zero said.

"Yeah, I guess I was just intimidated by seeing him again. He's not special. If he shows his face again, we'll show him!" Jake said.

Red is seen walking around the Karmanian forests, and saw the slums in the distance.

"What a lovely place. Reminds me of where I grew up in me casa." Red said, when Broodwing appeared behind him.

"You failed to destroy them!" Broodwing said.

"I did not fail, hermano. I crushed their spirits. They have seen me la potencia. When I see them again, I will finish them. I let them off so they could return, like a clam to its nest." Red explained.

"Spare me the philosophy and just do the job!" Broodwing said.

"Of course, do the job. Then what? Return to my old life? No. This is a new mundo. A chance for a new beginning. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. I may need some help, just in case..." Red said, laughing.

"Bah, you stubborn crook! You can take some Slayer balls, you'll need to find a way to pay me back!" Broodwing said, handing him Slayer balls.

"No worries. I can use my powers to go back to what I did best." Red said.

"Do what you will, but Ramos won't be happy if you cause a big scene." Broodwing replied.

"No worries, I won't be there long." Red said.

A wall is seen exploding at Posidonia Fields National Bank, and Red comes out of it, carrying a large bag of cash.

"Not another robbery!" a teller cried in panic.

Red laughed, as he kept walking. Two police boats stopped in front of him, as the cops got out.

"Freeze, we have you surrounded!" a cop yelled.

"Indeed, you do. But it is I who surrounds you, policia." Red said.

"Huh?" a cop said, confused.

Red then jumped up and landed behind both, as he knocked both out, and fled. The heroes then hear a news report about the bank robbery.

"BREAKING NEWS: Posidonia Fields National Bank has been robbed again! And in other news, stock prices are going up!" the news reporter reported.

"A robbery? Sounds like the work of our amigo, even though I don't think he knows what that word really means." Tori said.

The eight went to the scene, as they saw Hank and other cops arrived to investigate.

"I tell you what, this doesn't look good." Hank said, after hearing one of the attacked officers' report.

"He's not here. He must have already fled..." Madison said.

"Or he's waiting for us in Karmania. We have to get the money back!" Jake said.

The eight are seen in the Bazaar after Madison opened a portal behind the bank. They look around and hear people screaming. Red was seen robbing people's stores of gold, Keso coins, and whatever else he could get.

"Just take it, please!" a merchant said, scared, as he gave Red all of his gold.

"WOO, YEAH BABY, I FEEL ALIVE!" Red said, laughing, and threw gold everywhere.

"This stops now, Red!" Jake said, as the eight approached him. The other Karmanians looked at the fight about to ensue from the sides.

"Well well well, I figured you'd show. I have to admire your courage, still fighting me when you know I have an upper hand." Red said, as he dropped the bag of money. He then threw out some Slayers.

Madison held out the heart and was ready to transform, but Red quickly ran up and hit her with his elbow, making the heart fall out of her fins, as he grabbed it.

"Hey, give that back!" Madison said.

"Also, you'd hit a girl?!" Cynthia asked.

"Not today, chicas. Using your magic item is a bit unfair, no?" Red said.

"That's a bit hypocritical, but whatever floats your boat." Tori replied.

Red then turned his device, as he grew larger again. He was about to crush the girls, but the boys powered up and jabbed their swords at his hand, as he fell back, dropping the heart. Zero quickly grabbed it and threw it to Madison, but Red hit Zero, as he went flying into a stand. The girls were able to transform into their mermaid forms. Red roared and picked up a stand, throwing it at the girls, but Audrey let out a heavy gust back, but Red smashed it with his hand. Madison launched a heart blast at him, but he blocked it with his arm. The knights began slicing through the Slayers.

"Jake, just join me! I am clearly the one with the upper advantage! We can be two glorious kings, on a sick flaming battlefield that is our lives! Even if you defeat me, I will find a way to return to your life, as I always have, like the attracted magnet! We are in an infinite loop!" Red rambled.

"What's with all the metaphors?" Tori asked, destroying a Slayer.

"He sounds somehow even more philosophical than I do!" Nick said, impressed, but then dodged Red throwing another stand at him.

"Jake, perhaps if you strike that device on his fin, this may put an end to his super form." Zero said, as he destroyed the last Slayer.

"That's a big if there, doc..." Jake said, as he sliced at Red again, but Red grabbed him. "Just ignore him, accept whatever pain I am about to take in..."

Red tossed him up, as Jake was about to go flying into the ground, but Audrey was able to save him with a current of wind, safely carrying him down.

"Thanks. Everyone, attack him with everything you got, that way we can distract him." Jake said.

Madison launched several heart blasts, as Red blocked them with his arm, but Cynthia made rocks rise to grab him, and Tori let out water blasts at his face. Audrey then used her wind to lift a barrel, throwing it at Red's face again, irritating him. Cynthia then hit him with a rock, as Madison launched another heart blast. Jake then jumped up to strike his device, but Red grabbed him again.

"Jake, will it be my hand that strikes you down, or will you accept destiny?" Jake asked.

"How about looking out for that rock?" Jake asked.

"Wait, rock-" Red was saying, when Cynthia sent a boulder flying straight into Red's face, letting Jake go.

Jake then jumped up and stabbed his sword right into the device on Red's hand, letting out a shock through his tubes.

"DAGGGGGHHH!!!" Red yelled in pain, as the device exploded, and the tube cut off. Jake jumped off, as Red shrunk back to normal, and was fried. "How..."

"Just because you're bigger, doesn't mean you're better." Jake said.

Red then fell out cold to the ground.

"Is he dead?" Cynthia asked, as Nick checked his pulse.

"Nah, but he'll be taking a snooze for a while." Nick said.

"That gives us time to clean up his mess." Cameron said.

Red is seen knocked out on top of a police boat outside the bank. He has a note on him saying "4 COPS" attached to him, and the bag of money was next to him.

"What do you know, the case solved itself!" Hank said, as he cuffed Red.

The gang is seen exiting the portal, and Madison closes it.

"I hope that's the last time we see him, but he always finds a way to bug me and Jake, I'm not keeping my hopes up." Madison said.

"Hey, even if he returns again, at least he knows not to mess with four girls that can turn into mermaids and four guys who can turn into knights." Jake said, as Madison smiled.

As they made their way back to the Golden Seahorse, Johnny is seen being harassed by Gnarly Dewd, Steve and Bryan. They were tossing around an artifact he made for a project.

"Come on guys, stop it! Give that back, it's for History!" Johnny begged, trying to reach.

"If you want it, you gotta catch it, dude!" Steve taunted.

"That's just really mean, even if that is Johnny." Tori said.

"Guys, I think he's about to cry..." Bryan said, gasping, but then he laughed.

Jake then grabs Bryan's arm, and pushes it down, as Jake takes the item.

"Just because you're bigger, doesn't mean you can pick on him." Jake said, handing Johnny his project.

"T-thank you!" Johnny said, as he made his way back.

The three left in humiliation, having no words.

"This is why nobody messes with my brother." Madison said.

Red is seen being escorted into his prison cell. Across from him, Firebolt could be seen in a prison outfit.

"Hey everybody, it's Red!" a prisoner said, as they cheered for him.

"Enjoy your new home. You've been running your whole life, but time has caught up." the cop said, as he locked the cell.

"Hi there!" Blyde introduced, who was Red's cellmate, sitting in a bed on the other side.

"Alas, I have finally made my way into la prisión. I knew this day would come. This is the end for me. Yet, it is also a beginning..." Red said, looking at the ceiling.

"Are you talking to yourself?" Blyde asked, as Red didn't reply, and both went to bed.

The next morning, Blyde woke up to see Red was gone.

...

Motordrone is seen walking down a castle hallway at night, holding a report.

"Vexacus will be doomed once I make my report..." Motordrone said.

As he kept walking, a slashing sound is heard, and the security camera falls to the ground. Vexacus then appeared from out of the shadows in front of Motordrone.

"Going somewhere?" Vexacus asked smugly.

"Out of my way! I must make my report to Ramos!" Motordrone replied angrily.

"Let me help you out, give that here..." Vexacus said, snatching the report, and read it. "Hmm, it says here that Vexacus has been disobedient, disloyal, and may be planning on taking over the castle. Now tell me, why would you report something like that?"

"Because it's true!" Motordrone replied angrily.

"Well then, I guess the last person I want to know that is Ramos, isn't it? I'll just be keeping this!" Vexacus replied smugly, laughing, as he kept the report.

"You can't!" Motordrone yelled, grabbing him.

"And who is going to stop me?!" Vexacus asked, as he punched Motordrone, grabbed him, ripped off his cloak, and spun him around.

Motordrone fell to the ground, as he got up and looked at Vexacus angrily.

"Fool! Surrender now, or perish..." Vexacus said, pointing his sword to Motordrone.

Motordrone then charged at him, as they began fighting. Motordrone threw his metal fists, but Vexacus blocked, and fought back, sending Motordrone flying.

"Do you submit?!" Vexacus asked, as Motordrone growled in response. "WRONG ANSWER! I WARNED YOU!"

Vexacus then ran up and grabbed Motordrone again. Motordrone tried to punch him, but Vexacus used his shark teeth to bite his fist, and ripped his arm off. Vexacus punched him again, sending him flying onto the hallway floor. Vexacus then let out a plasma beam at Motordrone, stunning him. He was glowing and began to melt.

"Noo, noo, I'm melting!" Motordrone yelled in panic, as his remains collapsed into a golden puddle on the floor.

"Goodbye, Motordrone!" Vexacus said, laughing, as he walked away.

Like MS, I had got the sense that Red was supposed to be read as Hispanic, especially with his 'chico'-this, 'chica'-that :P . Great episode, I liked Jake's characterization in it.

Season finale time.

26. Checkmate

Vexacus is seen walking down a hallway, whistling while carrying a bag of Motordrone's remains. He disposes of them into a trashcan, as Skipper notices.

"Hey there man, that's a heavy trash bag you put in the can..." Skipper remarked curiously.

"Yes, I was taking out a lot of junk mail King Ramos did not need." Vexacus lied.

"Well, okay then. But shouldn't you put those in the recyclables bin?" Skipper asked.

"I couldn't find it." Vexacus replied, as he ignored Skipper and walked off to Ramos's throne room, who was drinking tea.

"Alright Vexacus, time's up! Give me your plan!" Ramos demanded, seeing him enter.

"Of course, your majesty. My plan is right on this paper, read it..." Vexacus said, handing it to him.

"Oh my...I see...Wow, this...is genius. I LOVE IT!" Ramos replied, impressed, as Vexacus smiled.

"Let me see that," Morgana said, taking a read. "Wow, I'm impressed, that is...smart."

"Yes, they won't see it coming in the slightest." Vexacus said.

"Hey, where's what'shisface...Motor...whatever his name was? Motordome, I think it was? Yeah, I haven't seen him, where he is?" Ramos asked.

"Uh...he probably went out for fresh air." Vexacus lied.

The two stupid guards are seen taking out the trash, as one of them feels something heavy.

"Jeez, what's in this bag, rocks?" one of them asked.

"Hey, that makes two of us!" the other replied, as they opened their bag to reveal a ton of rocks in it. "But now we have to pick these up, d'oh!"

The next day, the girls and Jake are seen at school, hanging out at a locker.

"Oh man, today is October 15th. Do you guys know what that means?" Madison asked.

"Yeah, tomorrow is the day of the eclipse, when Elana will be able to become at her most powerful." Jake replied, whispering it.

"Yeah, so what are we going to do now? Elana clearly doesn't want to be rescued, as much as I hate to say it." Cynthia replied.

"Well, we have to do something now before Ramos takes her powers, don'tcha think?" Tori asked, as the bell rang.

"We've tried rescuing her so many times now, and she doesn't want to be rescued. What will make this time any different?" Cynthia asked.

"We have to keep trying. We can't give up, it is our duty as guardians and knights of Karmania." Madison said.

"She has a point." Audrey said.

"She's right. We have to fight for Karmania's freedom, no matter the risk." Jake said.

"GET TO CLASS!!!" Rotwell yelled to the five.

"We were, no need to remind us every single day," Tori replied, as they went off.

"Such rude children, don't they have better things to do than stand around in the hallways looking like an idiot?!" Rotwell asked, as he kept standing in the hallway, looking like an idiot.

Later, after school ended, the five regrouped with the knights at the Golden Seahorse. They went into another room away from the customers.

"Tomorrow is the 16th, the day of the eclipse. Ramos has most likely prepared all of his forces, and will finally be able to take over the rest of Karmania with Elana's boosted powers." Mai explained.

"Regardless of however Elana feels, we have to get her away from Ramos." Cameron said.

"There is a bigger problem than just that. Diggy has just informed me that he overheard something from the Federation soldiers, and wants to tell you all." Ranen said.

"Why didn't he just tell you?" Audrey asked.

"He's an odd one." Ranen replied.

"That's an understatement." Cynthia said.

"I don't know, maybe it's just me, but it feels like that dude is a magnet of bad luck whenever we try getting information from him. But maybe that is just me." Nick pointed out.

"Nick is correct, it appears that whenever Diggy gives us a location, it always ends in an attack." Zero said.

"It could just be bad timing, considering how unlucky he is himself." Jake said.

"Eh, true. I don't see why the villains would even team up with him, I mean, what does he have they would possibly want?" Tori asked, laughing.

The eight are seen in the Central Karmania slums, as they see Diggy leaving his trailer. He is holding something, and they approach him.

"Hey dude." Nick greeted, as Diggy jumped.

"WHOA! Sorry, y'all scared me!" Diggy said.

"What do you have?" Cameron asked.

"Oh, it's my lottery ticket for the Bazaar, I was headed there before I was rudely scared. I probably won't win again as usual though." Diggy said, sighing.

"Well, Commander Ranen said you had information for us..." Madison said.

"Oh yeah, I did." Diggy replied, smiling.

"So...are you going to say it, or are you just going to keep standing there?" Cynthia asked.

"Have some patience, jeez, you teenagers are rude! Anyways, word on the street...well, I wouldn't say "street", but you get what I mean, word around the block here is that supposedly, King Ramos plans to steal the princess's powers a day early." Diggy explained, as the eight were surprised.

"Oh no, we can't let him do that!" Audrey said.

"This is probably a trap." Cameron said.

"So what if it is? Like Maddie said to me earlier, it's our duty to rescue her, no matter what is in the way!" Cynthia encouraged.

"She's right guys, we're guardians, and knights, and protectors of Karmania, and by default, Elana too, and yes, I know this is a run-on, but it's true!" Nick also encouraged.

"Well, good luck with that. And I'll be off to lose for the one millionth time." Diggy sighed, walking in the other direction, while the other eight headed back the way they came.

Diggy kept walking, as he made his way to the Bazaar, and headed into a building. There was a large crowd.

"Alright folks, here's today's winning lottery numbers!" a Karmanian said, reading it from a scroll.

"Why even bother..." Diggy wondered, as he tossed his ticket on the ground and was ready to leave.

"4...0...5...4...8...9..." the Karmanian was reading, as Diggy gasped and picked his ticket back up, seeing they were matching.

"And the last number is...6." the Karmanian finished, as Diggy was disappointed to see his last number was 9 instead.

"Oh, wait, hold on folks! It turns out I read that wrong, stupid glasses...ahem, it was actually 4054899. Who has that? Anybody?" the Karmanian asked.

"I DO!!!!!" Diggy yelled in excitement, as everyone cheered. "This must be a sign..."

At Ramos's castle, he is seen escorting Elana through his hallway of paintings.

"Tomorrow is the big day!" Ramos said to her.

"Yeah, I can't believe tomorrow I'll finally be able to save Karmania." Elana replied.

"Hehe, neither can I..." Ramos replied.

As they kept walking, a soldier approached Ramos, tapping on his shoulder.

"Uh, sir..." the soldier was saying, but Ramos ignored him.

"I can't wait to become queen! Although, it will feel weird being away from my home and my...so-called parents and friends." Elana said.

"Don't worry about them, they are a thing of the past! You have a bright destiny ahead of you!" Ramos replied.

"Sir-" the soldier said, tapping on Ramos's shoulder again.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" Ramos yelled, as Elana jumped a bit. "My apologies, I mean, please calmly tell me what it is. Elana, feel free to help the others prepare for the party."

"Of course, my king." Elana replied, as she walked off.

"Alright, you better have a good reason to interrupt me!" Ramos said to the soldier, who was nervous.

"I'm sorry sir, but Admiral Skorch wanted to speak to you, about advancing his army..." the soldier said.

"Oh right, that guy! Let me speak to him..." Ramos replied, as the soldier handed him an odd gold box. Ramos opened it, opening a portal which showed a dragon Karmanian creature, wearing a gold and brown admiral outfit.

"King Ramos, I have my Battlestar army ready at the Western Karmanian borders. After you take the princess's power, we will be allowed to invade as promised, correct?" Admiral Skorch asked through the portal.

"Yes yes, be patient, keep your socks on!" Ramos replied.

"...I don't have any socks." Admiral Skorch replied.

"...Oh. Huh. Well then. Your army will be allowed in Central Karmania when I reign supreme, but you still have to wait a bit, bucko." Ramos replied, ending the communication, when another soldier approached him. "What now?!"

"Sir, the guardians and knights have taken the bait. They should be headed to your castle right now." the soldier informed.

"Excellent! But I don't want things to be too easy for them. Unleash the biggest and baddest monster in the dungeon!" Ramos ordered, as the two soldiers went off.

As the eight heroes made their way back to the portal, they heard a loud roar.

"Either that was my stomach, or something's on our trail!" Nick said, slightly worried.

They are suddenly surrounded by Slayers, Federation soldiers, and a somewhat big red octopus monster.

"Yup, I had a feeling this wasn't going to be that easy." Tori said, as the eight transformed.

"Well what do you know, Ramos did have a man-eating octopus! Madison, why did you tell me he didn't have one?" Nick asked.

"I never saw any creature like that when he captured me..." Madison said.

"Meet Octazilla, a very powerful creature! Getting it out here alone was a challLLLEENGNGGEEEE, AAAAHHH!!" the soldier was saying and yelled, as Octazilla grabbed him with a tentacle.

It sent him flying at the girls, as they got out of the way, and he kept flying.

"Watch out for those tentacles!" Jake warned, slicing at a Slayer and punched a Federation soldier.

Octazilla sent a tentacle flying to Madison, but she deflected it back with a heart blast. Cynthia lifted up rocks and threw them at Slayers and Octazilla. Zero and Nick took care of the last remaining Federation soldier, sending them flying into a tree.

"Watch out!" Tori said, as a black Slayer was about to attack Nick and Zero, but she surrounded it in a whirlpool and sent it flying into Octazilla, who crushed it with its tentacle.

"Thanks for the save there!" Nick said, slicing at a blue Slayer.

Audrey blew a gust of wind at the last batch of Slayers, and it blew them back into a boulder Cynthia collided against them, destroying them.

"Alright, only tentacle face remains!" Madison said, shooting another heart blast it, but it let out another roar.

It shot out more tentacles, as one grabbed Tori, but Jake jumped up and sliced the tentacle, letting her go. It swung its tentacle to Jake, who avoided it.

"This thing is strong!" Cameron said, jumping at it, but it whacked him into a tree with a tentacle.

"I believe that the girls may need to go after Elana before it's too late. Perhaps we should stay behind." Zero suggested, letting out a shock at another tentacle.

"We can't leave you guys here alone!" Audrey said.

"No, the doc is right, go on and save her. We'll meet up with you after we take care of this thing." Jake said, slicing at it again, making it fall back.

"Are you sure you guys have this thing handled?" Cynthia asked.

"I mean, we were able to defeat The Smasher, which was much larger than this, so I think we'll be alright." Cameron reassured.

"Alright, good luck. Take this to imprison that thing, and use it to close the portal when you get back!" Madison promised, handing Jake the heart, as the four girls flew off.

Octazilla tried shooting its tentacles at them, but lasers were shot at it from the other way. Karmanian rebels were seen walking out of the forests, holding spears and guns.

"We heard a disturbance in this area, we came to assist!" one of them said.

"Thanks, let's take that beast down!" Jake ordered, as they kept attacking Octazilla.

The girls made their way back to the portal, as Audrey noticed a castle in the distance.

"Hey guys, is that a castle?" Audrey asked, noticing it behind them faraway.

"That must have been the queen and king's castle." Madison guessed.

"So that is where Elana would be right now if Ramos wasn't keeping her in his lame castle." Cynthia said.

"Weirdly, it doesn't look as miserable as the rest of this place." Tori added.

The four made it back into the portal, and made their way to Ramos's castle without being seen. They noticed tons of limo boats were parked, and a large crowd was outside.

"What is going on, did Ramos decide to throw some "Take Over Karmania" party?" Tori asked.

They listened in further from the bushes, and saw Ramos in a fancy outfit, with Skipper next to him.

"Greetings one and all, or salutations, or whatever other welcomings you can think of! I decided to have a little party, and you are all an hour early, but early visitors are always the best! No specific or suspicious reasons for this being held, I just did as a fun little...uh, I guess, house warming, yeah!" Ramos said awkwardly, but the people cheered.

They let the people in, as Morgana and Elana greeted them, handing out food.

"We have to crash that party." Cynthia said.

"Let's do it carefully, I assume he's having people there as shields so we don't try attacking." Madison inferred.

"Hey, don't forget to invite us." Jake said, as him and the other knights appeared behind them. Jake handed the heart back to Madison, who used it to turn the girls back to normal.

"How did you guys do that so fast?" Audrey asked.

"It's a lot easier when you have help from the rebels." Cameron explained, as a flashback shows Octazilla feeling weakened. Zero jumps up and stabs it in the tentacle, letting out an electric shock, frying it. The rebels send rope and chains flying around it, keeping it restrained, as Jake scans the beast. He then lets out a blast from the heart onto it the containment unit, imprisoning Octazilla.

"Oh right, and we closed the portal on the way back, so everything is good...well, not "good" because Ramos is going to steal Elana's powers, but you get what I mean!" Nick said.

"I just realized, we won't need to disguise ourselves. Ramos won't risk a scene with civilians at the castle. Therefore, we have him at checkmate." Madison said.

"I didn't know you played chess, I thought girls weren't into things like that." Jake teased.

"What? I don't, I thought it would just be cool to say...forget it!" Madison said, embarrassed, making their way to the castle.

"Wow, this party is amazing! And it hasn't even started yet!" a fish said.

"I know! I wonder why the king threw this?" another one asked.

"Beats me, but it's a party!" another one replied, as they laughed and went inside.

As the eight heroes made their way to the entrance, Jake accidentally bumped into a fish in a purple jumpsuit, wearing purple sunglasses, and talking on the phone.

"Oh, my sincere apologies, sir." the fish was saying, as they turned around to show Laneld from Storm Racers (!).

"Hey...I recognize you, aren't you the famed boat racer Laneld? What are you doing here?" Tori asked, surprising her.

"I was in town for my next race, and heard the fancy king was throwing a party, so I took a stop here. If you want autographs, you'll have to wait, sorry kids. I'm on the phone with my manager!" Laneld replied, going back to speaking with his manager.

"Cool dude, I hope he stays after we save the day so I can get an autograph, even though I'm not into boat racing, but I always wanted an autograph from a famous person that wasn't some dude claiming to be one, so it'll be a nice thing to have." Nick was rambling, as the rest went into the castle already.

Nick caught up, as they were looking around the crowded castle. Music was blasting, courtesy of a DJ, as free food was available.

"I have to admit, this food looks nice..." Nick said, reaching for a doughnut, but Tori stopped them.

"We don't have time for food. Besides, Ramos could've put some brainwashing thing inside of them!" Tori joked.

Skipper was holding a plate with free samples, noticing the eight.

"Boss, they're here-" Skipper said through a walkie talkie.

"Hey dude, can I get some of this food?" a fish asked, approaching Skipper.

"They're free, so yes." Skipper replied.

"Aw sweet, how many can I take?" the fish asked.

"Only one, so don't you even try!" Skipper threatened, as the fish cautiously took one.

The heroes went to the next floor, seeing more fish hanging around, drinking punch. Elsewhere in the castle, Ramos is seen with Vexacus and Morgana, outside of the "campaign manager" room.

"My king, the children are here on the second floor, according to the security cameras. Should I take action?" Vexacus asked.

"I already knew. Do not take any immediate action. Speaking of security cameras, I was informed that a camera was taken offline mysteriously last night...any idea what that's about? My crew can't find it, but then again, it's not like they can find anything as it is." Ramos pondered.

"Um...perhaps one of those nitwit guards accidentally removed it." Vexacus lied.

"True, wouldn't surprise me with their competence levels. Now then, they all think I'm going to steal Elana's powers, when I actually have them at checkmate, thanks to my brilliant plan!" Ramos bragged, laughing.

"You mean my brilliant plan." Vexacus corrected.

"You play chess? Dork." Morgana taunted.

"I don't play chess, it's just a strategic term! Now then, you two stay on guard, I need to speak to my campaign manager." Ramos ordered.

"I thought it was your grandmother?" Vexacus asked.

"Uh, yes, my campaign manager is my grandmother!" Ramos lied, walkind in, but his walkie talkie fell out of his pocket, and closed the door behind. Morgana picked up the walkie talkie, holding onto it.

The purple portal lit up in front of him.

"So hey boss, today's the big day! I finally get to get rid of those pesky brats, right?" Ramos asked.

"No." an eerie voice replied.

"Um...what?" Ramos asked.

"You say the checkmate has taken your side, yet the true checkmate belongs to myself..." the eerie voice replied.

"Speak English!" Ramos replied, annoyed.

"It's been a pleasure doing business with you, King Ramos. Alas, it is time I spread my wings and escape." the eerie voice replied, laughing.

"What?! What are you saying?!" Ramos asked, very annoyed.

The purple portal then disappeared, as Ramos threw his fins at the air, trying to get it back.

"Wow man, that's really rude, just leaving me like that. The nerve of some people. Alright, real funny, now get back here!" Ramos demanded, but nothing happened.

"While he's busy in there, let's give him some alone time..." Vexacus said, slicing his sword right at the doorknobs, cutting them off on their side. He then grabbed two paintings off the wall, and put it them in front of the door, as Morgana also moved a table with a vase on it in front of it.

Ramos then tried turning the doorknobs on his side, but the doors wouldn't budge.

"HEY, why won't this door open?! SHARK FACE, UNLOCK THIS DOOR!!!" Ramos boomed.

"It is unlocked, I don't see any problem, my highness." Vexacus lied from the other side.

"Gah, it must be jammed! And I don't have my walkie talkie!" Ramos complained, looking around his pockets for it. "You two, do something to help me!"

"I dunno, that's like, your opinion, man." Morgana taunted.

"It's not an opinion, THIS DOOR LITERALLY WILL NOT OPEN!" Ramos yelled. "Aha, I got it! Shark face, try jamming your sword into this, so it can open!"

"I thought you told us to never look into this private room, so that'd be breaking your rules." Morgana teased.

"Yes, but I am stuck!" Ramos complained.

"Don't worry, stay perfectly calm. I'll get help!" Vexacus lied, as he and Morgana walked off, and Ramos kept banging on the door angrily.

"You better hurry!" Ramos yelled, sighing, and sat down. "Well, on the bright side, at least I don't have to risk being hurt by those children. Ha, take that!"

Vexacus and Morgana see Elana down a hallway.

"Hi Elana." Morgana greeted.

"Hey guys, where is Ramos?" Elana asked.

"He is busy keeping the civilians busy, but we must hurry! The guardians are here again!" Vexacus said.

"They are?! Of course they would be!" Elana said.

"We don't have much time, come with us!" Vexacus said, as the two led Elana into the throne room, closing the doors behind.

"You'll be safe in here." Morgana reassured.

"You two are too kind." Elana said.

Vexacus then began laughing.

"What's so funny?" Elana asked.

Vexacus then threw out a device, which shot out rope around Elana, tying her up.

"W-what's going on?!" Elana asked, panicking, and struggling to break free.

She made her crown glow and shoot out a blast to break the ropes, but it had no affect.

"Don't waste your time, my equipment is anti-magic." Vexacus replied, pushing her to the ground.

"What are you doing to me?! Morgana, do something!" Elana said, as Morgana stood there, laughing.

"Sorry, but you've been duped." Morgana said.

"Foolish girl, King Ramos has been lying to you since day one. He only wanted to steal your powers so he could finish taking over Karmania, that's what the Federation has been doing the past 50 years, conquering it! He was going to steal your powers tomorrow for the eclipse, but I decided to trick that moron by arranging a plan so I could take them!" Vexacus revealed to her, as Elana gasped.

"This can't be! But...but...that means..." Elana said, realizing.

"Yes, your friends were indeed trying to save you, but it's too late. Once I take your powers, I will finish what that idiot king couldn't do, and I'll rule two worlds!" Vexacus bragged, when the eight heroes entered the throne room.

"Hey dorkacus, I don't think so!" Cynthia said.

"WHAT?! I thought the guards were making sure nobody entered!" Vexacus said.

"Oh sorry boss, we weren't paying attention!" one of the two stupid guards said, as they entered the room.

A flashback shows the eight running to the throne room, and the two stupid guards were in front of it.

"Halt, you will not go any further!" one yelled, pointing spears at the gang.

"Uh...your shoes are untied." Jake said.

"Nice try, but we aren't falling for that!" the other said.

"But they are untied, dude." Tori said.

The two then looked down and realized their shoes were untied, so they tried tying their shoes, but failed.

"Wait, how do you tie shoes again?" one of them asked.

"Beats me!" the other replied, as the gang ran into the throne room, ending the flashback.

"Guys, I'm so sorry! I didn't know they were deceiving me!" Elana said, trying to break free. "I should've realized I can't trust a bunch of strangers..."

"It's okay, if I were you, I probably would've fallen for it too, if my whole past was a lie." Madison said.

"Wait, where is King Ramos?" Cameron asked, confused.

"He had some...business to attend to, but I'll finish you for him!" Vexacus yelled, throwing out multiple Slayer balls.

The eight then transformed into their forms.

"ATTACK!" Vexacus yelled.

"Wait, I'm confused. I thought the king wasn't supposed to take her powers until tomorrow?-" one of the two stupid guards asked, as Jake punched him in the face, and sent him flying into the other, making them fall to the floor.

"AAAHHH!!!" they both yelled.

"Morgana, don't tell me you were a lie too!" Elana said.

"Sorry, but you don't fully know me, either..." Morgana said, beginning to stretch her body, transforming into a Karmanian beast, resembling a spider-like creature.

"Ew." Tori said, sending water blasts through a blue Slayer, destroying it.

"Behold my true form!" Morgana said, shooting out webs at the heroes.

"I...don't know how to respond to this." Elana said, as Cynthia sent a rock smashing into an orange Slayer, and she went to untie Elana. Elana was set free, hugging Cynthia. "Cynthia, I'm so sorry!"

"It's okay, we should've probably spilled the beans sooner." Cynthia replied.

Morgana crawled around, shooting a web at Cameron's sword, dragging it away from him.

"You know, we've fought robots, two weird treasure hunters, a ghost, a paintball on wheels, and a guy with bubbles...and yet this spider girl is still really freaking weird." Tori said, shooting water blasts at her, but she jumped around.

Zero sent out a shock at a Slayer, disarming and destroying it. The knights sliced through more, as Audrey blew a gust at one, sending it flying into Vexacus, but he cut right through it. He then sent out an explosion to Cynthia and Elana, as they both quickly moved, but Elana fell to the ground.

"I wish I was a mermaid too..." Elana said, when Vexacus grabbed her, and held her up. "Let me go!"

"Stay calm...and nobody gets hurt." Vexacus threatened, as everyone stopped fighting.

"Wait, "stay calm"? How can she stay calm when you're holding her hostage? Isn't that an oxymoron?" Nick asked.

"I don't think he cares about that..." Madison said, looking at him.

"Just hear me out. I know what you all must think of me. And you'd be right. My species are savages. We eat other fish, and while I personally don't, my hunger is a strong, unstoppable force... " Vexacus rambled, showing his teeth, scaring Elana.

"Fish are friends, not food?" Tori suggested.

"But...perhaps we can reach an impasse. I don't like Ramos either, he is the one responsible for all of this! So I was thinking, what if we formed an alli-" Vexacus tried suggesting, when Elana let out a light blast from her crown at him, sending him flying backward.

"No way dude, you just told me you wanted to use me to rule two worlds! You're just as bad as Ramos!" Elana said.

"Yeah, are you stupid? Why would we ally with the guy who just attacked my best friend?" Cynthia asked, as Elana smiled.

"So be it then." Vexacus said, as Madison shot a heart blast at a Slayer, but it dodged and sent a laser beam back at her. Elana got in the way, forming a bubble around her, which made it stop.

"Wow, your powers have gotten stronger." Audrey said.

"Yeah, even though Ramos used me, he did help me train my powers. I guess that's something." Elana said.

Morgana shot out multiple webs, as Jake and Vexacus clashed swords. Audrey let out a gust at three Slayers, trapping them in a tornado, and sending them flying into Morgana, making her fall back. Elana charged up a light beam, and blasted it straight into a Slayer, disintegrating it.

"I wish I could do that." Cynthia said, sending a rock flying into Vexacus, helping Jake.

"Yeah, but I'm not a mermaid like you guys, I'm just still a princess after all." Elana said.

Madison launched another heart blast at Morgana, as Cameron, Nick and Zero destroyed the remaining Slayers. Morgana got up and jumped at Elana, but Zero got in the way, shooting an electric blast at her from his sword. He then jumped up and kicked her, as she was sent flying, lying unconscious on the ground near the two guards. She transformed back to her normal fish form.

"Thanks...sorry, I don't know your name." Elana said awkwardly to Zero.

"Call me the professor." Zero replied.

"It's over, dorkacus." Cynthia said, as they all surrounded him.

"It's nobody left but you, pal." Madison said.

Vexacus growled, as he let out more explosives, and they scrammed, avoiding them across the throne room. Elana then concentrated and shot a powerful light beam to Vexacus.

"NO!" they all yelled.

Vexacus laughed, absorbing the beam with his sword.

"Oh man, I'm sorry, I didn't know he could do that!" Elana said.

"It's okay, rookie mistake. Just hope he doesn't use that back...which he probably will." Cameron said.

"Little girl, either you're brave, or A FOOL!" Vexacus yelled, as he was ready to send the light beam flying back at them.

Elana then jumped, as she sent another light beam right into Vexacus's chest before he could attack.

"YOU WILL REGRET THIS!" Vexacus yelled, as he was sent flying out of the throne room, and flying across Posidonia in the blast.

"I guess that's it then. Everybody's happy!" Nick said.

They looked around to see Morgana and the two guards unconscious, and the Slayer debris everywhere.

"Guys, I'm sorry again. I was just angry back then, and didn't know how to react. I knew I couldn't replace you with a bunch of creeps." Elana said.

"It's okay. It's my fault for not telling you sooner." Madison said.

"Now, we have to get you back to Central Karmania. The people will be happy to see their rightful heir." Jake said.

"Wait. My adoptive parents are in the castle dungeon, we have to rescue them! They might not be my real parents, but they did care for me deep down..." Elana said, realizing it.

They headed down the hallway into the dungeon, as Cameron knocked out a guard. They saw captured rebels in multiple cells, and then saw Elana's parents. The knights let out the rebels, taking them to safety, as Audrey opened the cell for Elana's parents.

"Elana!" they both said.

"Mom, dad, I'm so sorry! I should've listened to you!" Elana said, hugging them.

"It's okay, we are also at blame. Let's get out of here." her father said, as they all headed back to the throne room.

"STOP RIGHT THERE!" a familiar voice boomed.

Two dark slashes go flying through the throne room doors, as it explodes open. Out of the smoke, appears Drakkus, in the haunting armor, and holding out his sword.

"That can't be...Drakkus?" Elana's adoptive father asked, as Drakkus laughed.

"Who?" Elana asked.

"Oh no, him..." Madison said.

"He is apparently an ancient hunter that my grandma once faced..." Audrey said.

"Guardians, knights, and the princess, all here! It's the whole meal!" Drakkus said.

"Wait...that voice, it sounds...familiar." Cameron said.

"Idiots, it's me!" Ramos revealed, taking off the Drakkus helmet, shocking them all.

"I...what? How are you Drakkus?! I thought he was over 50 years old?!" Madison asked, very confused.

"You morons, this Drakkus armor belonged to my great grandfather. He was the original one, who crafted this out of his blood, sweat, and tears. After he retired, he passed it down to my grandfather, then my father, and now, me. I will finish their legacy!" Ramos revealed, laughing.

"Ramos, you used to me! You lied to me, that's not nice!" Elana said.

"Hey, just be glad you weren't used for land development. Now THAT'S not nice!" Ramos replied, laughing.

"Ramos, it's not funny when you laugh at your own jokes." Tori said.

"Hold on. I do not understand something. Why didn't you finish us when you attacked us at the Mt. Draglor caves?" Zero asked.

"What the heck are you talking about!? What caves?" Ramos asked, confused.

"Wait...so you weren't the Drakkus at Mt. Draglor?" Jake asked, confused, as was everyone else.

"Other Drakkus? I don't know what you are talking about, is this some attempt to trick me?! No matter, I WILL DESTROY YOU ALL!" Ramos yelled, as he put his helmet back on, and let out another dark slash from the sword, sending them all flying back.

"Don't give up, we can take this buffoon!" Cameron said.

The four knights and rebels attacked Ramos, but he was actually impressively holding them off. Madison launched heart blasts, but Ramos just deflected them with his sword.

"Not gonna lie, he's doing better than I thought!" Nick yelled, avoiding slashes from his sword, but Ramos grabbed him and sent him flying, landing on the ground. "I'm okay!"

Ramos then sent another dark slash at the three knights, sending them flying backward. The girls attacked him all at once, but he just blocked the attack with his sword.

"Fools, you're no match for me!" Ramos taunted, laughing.

"Would you shut up already?!" Cynthia asked, shooting rocks at him, but he caught one in his hand and crushed it.

"I have to admit...that is kind of cool, but not cool enough!" Tori said, as she sent water blasts at him, but he cut through them with his sword.

"Ramos, we're going to fight until the very end!" Jake threatened, pointing his sword.

"Is that supposed to frighten me?! You are all so pathetic I don't even need to STAND to defeat you!" Ramos laughed, sitting back on his throne.

"Wow, you really want this to end, huh?" Cameron asked.

Madison launched heart blasts at him, but he deflected them again with his sword while still sitting. Jake and Cameron jumped up to attack, but he grabbed Jake with his left arm and sent him flying into Cameron.

"Guys, I had a weird idea. If he's going to be lazy and sit down, why don't we attack him right now with everything we have! Every element! Heart, Water, Wind, Earth...and I guess Light? Is that your thing?" Nick asked to Elana.

"I think it is." Elana replied.

"Yes, she may not be a guardian, but her element is indeed Light, one of the most powerful." Elana's adoptive mother explained.

"Dispatch your best efforts! My power is greater than yours! Even if you somehow defeat me, what would you do with me? Who would become king? You foolish children will create anarchy!" Ramos bragged, still sitting.

"Dang, he has some good points..." Audrey said, feeling unsure now.

"Nobody said we had to dethrone you. But we'll send a message telling you to leave Karmania alone." Madison threatened.

Elana powered up a light beam, Madison made the heart glow, Cynthia rose up rocks, Tori rose up water, Audrey had the wind circling, Cameron pulled out his handgun, and Zero got his electricity sword ready. Jake, Nick, the rebels, and Elana's parents stood by their side. Together, they unleashed all of their attacks at once, as it sent a giant cluster headed straight to Ramos.

"Uh oh-" Ramos said, as his jaw dropped. He tried to move, but it quickly sent him flying through the castle. "AAAHHHHH!!!!"

Ramos keeps going flying in his armor, and off through Posidonia. The eight then powered down.

"That's finally it." Cameron said.

"Well, I feel bad for whoever has to clean this up." Tori said, seeing all the damage in the throne room.

"It is time you returned to your castle, queen of Central Karmania." Jake said.

"Thank you all for helping me, knights and guardians. I don't know if I can still be queen though, with how I stupidly followed Ramos..." Elana said.

"You'll do great sweetie, Ramos just took advantage of your emotions. We're sorry again for hiding this." Elana's adoptive father said.

"What about Ramos, though? Will he come back? What will the Federation do?" a rebel asked.

"They can figure it out. Now, they have no leader, so the soldiers will slowly make their way out of Central Karmania." Cameron said.

In Central Karmania, Elana, the guardians, knights, her adoptive parents, Mai, and Ranen are seen in front of the old castle. Elana shoots a light onto it, as it no longer looks dark, and begins blooming beautifully.

"This was your real parents' old castle, it makes me proud to see it shine again." Ranen said to Elana.

"I am proud of you all, as well. You fought to the end, and have finally freed Central Karmania from the Federation grip." Mai said to the heroes.

Elana is seen on a wagon, riding through the streets, waving to many Central Karmanians, as they cheered. The sky was no longer dark, as it was lighter, and flowers were blooming everywhere. People were celebrating through the slums, Bazaar, farmlands, and more, as the Federation soldiers were seen leaving in defeat. In the rebel prison, Morgana and Octazilla are now seen in cells, much to Morgana's dismay.

...

In Ramos's throne room, his crown is seen on the ground. Skipper walks in.

"Dangit, I missed all the fun, thanks to having to watch those animals-OH MY GOODNESS, THIS IS A MESS!" Skipper panicked, seeing all of the damage. Some soldiers walk in.

"Butler, it appears King Ramos has gone missing in action. We have had no luck finding him..." one of them said.

"My parents told me I was destined to be a butler. But maybe today, I can finally become more..." Skipper said, as he picks up the crown on the ground. "Maybe I could be king until the next election, to keep Ramos's seat warm."

"This seems like a bad idea, I don't know if we should have a mere butler with no political experience in charge of this country!" one of them said.

"Yeah, and plus, you made me bald with your dark magic stuff!" one of the soldiers said, taking off their helmet to show they were bald, and it shined.

"You made my face purple, and purple is my least favorite color!" another soldier said angrily, taking off their helmet to show it.

"He made me into a bubble!" said a floating bubble with them.

"Guys guys, I know I've done some weird things, but I can be a good king! Trust me, I can get used to this thing. I also brought...BROWNIES!" Skipper said, as he took out a tray of brownies.

"Man, I'd love some of those brownies..." the bubble said, as Skipper waved his fin, and the bubble turned back into a normal soldier.

"I like brownies." a soldier said.

"Well, it's a start." Skipper said, putting on the crown, smiling. "Now then, clean up this mess."

Skipper then looked out the window.

"There's going to be some changes around here..."

*GASP* NO

That was an excellent final episode for Season 1. :D I loved the twist with Ramos being a dark knight and how he was a formidable warrior even with how silly he acted for twenty-six episodes. Laneld's guest appearance was cool too, I guess that a crossover episode is obligatory now. I also guess that the next season will involve Drakkus and build to the reveal of his true identity, but only time will tell.

Awesome finale, jjs :D . I thought the structure of this episode as a game of 'chess' so to say, was a brilliant writing choice. All season long, the kids and Ramos have been sort of dancing around one another. Ramos attempts to have them destroyed, they make attempts to infiltrate his castle and save Elana. So it was fitting that the final showdown happened where it did. I would of expected Vexacus and Morgana to have pulled their coup on Ramos long ago, but it only added to the action that it happened here. Hoenstly, did he really think he'd stand a chance against the guardians/knights? Glad that Elana realized the truth after so much time of it sitting right in front of her, but I have to say, he stubborness was getting annoying. OH, and the Laneld appeareance got me so off guard. There hadn't been any Storm Racers tie-ins all season, so I thought that it either wouldn't happen, or it'd happen much later after the show has been completely established. But, Laneld's little cameo was handled well, and I truly enjoyed seeing one the UF members again.

The final battle against Ramos was great, and set up a whole new mystery. Who is the other Drakkus? Overall, I look forward to Season 2 to continue building on this awesome story you've crafted. Mystic Guardians has so far proven to be one the most ambitious spin-offs of 2016, and that's in no small part to your very seasoned approach to your writing.

I thought this season finale was great, and i glad they finally rescued Elana after they failed so many times. Also, Vex and Morgana were wanted to rule the castle of their own, yet they fail to do so, even though they betrayed Ramos for working with him. Laneld's appearance was great, too. The final battle between the guardian/knights and Ramos was awesome. Overall, it was one action-packed season finale, and you did amazing job, jjs :plankton2:

Can't wait for Season 2 of MG with new villain which is Darkus i assume since he could be true evil of this...

Season 2 activate! And here's a shorter chapter, compared to the last few of Season 1.

27. Things Change

Skipper is seen on the throne, wearing Ramos's crown, with Federation soldiers in front of him.

"Alright everybody, listen up. Things are going to change around here, big changes. My first decree as king is free ice cream for everyone!" Skipper said proudly, smiling.

"I don't know, you have no experience in the political field. What if you make the economy go to ruin? Or worse, start an undersea war?!" a soldier asked.

"Relax man, I'm not that crazy. I'm just keeping Ramos's seat warm until he returns. I'm kind of like a vice king, and I'm just taking over." Skipper said calmly.

"That's a big if, we've had no luck finding the big guy..." another soldier said.

"Then try harder or something." Skipper replied, shrugging.

"What will you do about the guardians and rebels? They have retaken Central Karmania." a soldier said.

"Thank you, Captain Obvious. They are of no concern to me right now, let them celebrate and think they have won." Skipper said smugly.

"Our military in Karmania has fallen back due to this, how do you plan to handle-" a soldier was asking.

"Relax, we'll figure it out. I'm sure the lovely Parliament can give me the political experience if need be." Skipper reassured.

"We also have to take you to the Senate, and explain the situation so they can approve if you should take the throne or not." another soldier said.

"NEVER!!!" Skipper yelled, jumping out a window.

He then made himself land unharmed with his magic powers, as the soldiers looked below.

"I'm okay!" Skipper reassured from below.

"But sir, you must go! They have to agree if you are fit to be the temporary king!" a soldier said.

"Fine, sure, whatever. Let's make this quick." Skipper said.

Several Federation officials and soldiers explain the situation to the Senate in a building. The Senators mumbled among themselves and eventually reached a decision.

"We have reached a decision. We have decided that this butler is not fit to be king." The Senate Leader spoke.

"WHAT?! But who else is fit to lead?!" Skipper asked.

"Well, there is King Ramos's brother, the next in line..." a senator suggested.

"Oh yeah, he exists." another senator said.

"But he is busy serving those Battlestar dudes, he has no time for being a king right now! Please, just give me the experience, advice, wisdom, whatever, and I'll follow!" Skipper begged.

"Hmm... I suppose we could help you out, along with the rest of the Parliament branches. However, we cannot let the public know of Ramos's disappearance." The Senate Leader said.

"Objection, I disagree, sir! We should let the king's brother take the throne until the election, we have no idea how long King Ramos will be missing!" a senator argued, standing up.

"I disagree, I don't like that idea, sir!" a senator argued.

"Well I don't like YOUR FACE!" the senator yelled back.

The Senate began to argue and tussle like children, getting nothing done.

"This went well, but it is time I went off to dwell." Skipper said, walking out of the building.

Madison is seen sleeping, when she has an odd dream. A hooded figure is seen breaking into the rebel prison, and shoots lightning out at several prison cells and rebels. She lets some of the beast criminals go, as she laughs. Madison then wakes up.

"That was one of the creepiest dreams I've ever had. Probably just an odd nightmare." Madison said, shaking her head, and went back to sleep.

The next day, a celebration is being held outside Elana's castle in Central Karmania. The guardians, knights, Mai, Ranen, Elana, her parents, various Karmanians, beasts, and rebels were there.

"I hope this food isn't poisonous..." Nick said, looking at a table of Karmanian food, not sure if he should eat it.

"I don't know if I would touch that..." Cynthia said, feeling uneasy about some of the food.

"Eh, what the heck, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!" Nick said, taking some anyways, putting it on his plate.

"I still can't believe we took down Ramos." Audrey said.

"Don't be too disbelieved, he didn't do much to make it a challenge." Tori replied.

"Don't be too excited, he still has his troopers in this realm, and several other allies." Ranen reassured.

"We'll be ready for his cronies." Madison said proudly.

She thought of her dream again, but shrugged it off, feeling it wasn't important enough to tell the others.

"Thank you guardians, knights, and rebels! Central Karmania is free again!" a villager said to them.

Elana is seen on a high balcony with her parents and some guards, waving to the people below. Confetti was pouring down from barrels, and balloons were flying into the air for the celebration.

"Here, eat up boys, you need your strength!" Vina said, handing the other three knights plates of food.

"Thanks, but I'm full." Cameron replied.

"Wait, you were that maid who helped us back at the farmlands. Vina, was it?" Zero asked.

"Yes, and I am thankful for your service!" Vina replied happily.

"It was no problem, ma'am." Jake replied.

"Attention everyone, I am so proud to be the rightful ruler of Central Karmania again!" Elana announced, as they all cheered from below. "But you cannot thank me, for it was the brave efforts of the guardians and knights who helped this kingdom be restored, and defeat Ramos! Therefore, I'd like to present those eight with medals of honor!"

The heroes were seen in their guardian and knight forms respectively, lined up on a stage, in front of many Karmanians, who were applauding. Elana held out the eight gold medals on a cushion, as she put each around the heroes' necks.

"Thanks so much Elana! It's shiny!" Audrey said, touching it.

"Wow, I always wanted an award. I'm honored!" Nick said, happily wearing it.

"This could make a nice decoration, or better yet, jewelry! Thanks so much, Elana...or Queen Elana!" Cynthia said.

"You can just call me Elana." Elana reassured.

"Hey, you are the ruler, so it is only fitting we call you by your proper title." Tori said.

"Queen Elana, I would like to present you something." Vina said, handing Elana a light green jewel held by a necklace. "This was the jewel from your mother's crown, the former queen. She gave it to me a long time ago when I used to work for her, and I held onto it, waiting for the day I would meet the heir."

"It's beautiful! Thank you, miss...sorry, who are you?" Elana asked.

"Call me Vina." Vina reassured happily.

"So now what?" Jake asked.

"Keep celebrating, this day is for everyone to celebrate Central Karmania's independence!" Elana said, as she wore the jewel around her neck.

"I forgot, what are we going to do about the Ancient Seal's portal, sir?" Cameron asked to Ranen.

"I have decided to keep it open just so we have an easy link between worlds if a portal does not open. I have men guarding the area on this side, making sure no Federation soldiers or beasts go through on either side." Ranen explained.

"Wise choice. The Federation is probably too preoccupied looking for King Ramos as it is." Zero replied.

"Speaking of which, what are they going to do without him? I hope we didn't ruin Posidonia or anything..." Madison said.

"I'm sure they'll work something out, they have tons of people in the Parliament to take over." Mai replied.

"Hopefully the person they chose isn't as corrupt as Ramos. Who knows, maybe they'll be nice...but that could be wishful thinking." Audrey said.

A pair of sinister yellow eyes are seen looking at the party from the woods. Two icy fangs can be seen, as the figure walks away, growling.

Meanwhile, Diggy is seen having a party of his own at his trailer, which has been renovated. It was now a food stand, with colorful sheets on top. There was a giant sign on it saying "DIGGY'S PLACE", and neon lights were over the sign. The whole area was much cleaner now. Outside the trailer were fancy wooden tables, which customers were sitting at. There were several games for them to play, including target shooting, spin the wheel, and more. Diggy came out with a plate of food. He now looked much cleaner, wearing gold sunglasses, a hawaiian shirt, and gold necklace.

"Ah ha ha, winning the lottery was the best thing that has ever happened to me! I don't need to go to the Queen's fancy shmancy celebration, I've got mah own party right here!" Diggy bragged, who was now rich due to his lottery win. He handed a table their plate, as the customers cheered for him.

"You're an inspiration to deadbeats like me everywhere!" said one of the poor villagers.

"I could be a greedy pig, but how's about I share some of this loot with my people, just for coming here?!" Diggy offered, as he threw the Keso coins and dollars he earned to the customers.

"If only I could be lucky at the lottery..." said another villager, eating the food.

Broodwing then appeared, as the flashing lights shone on him. Diggy jumped a bit.

"Oh, uh, hey there, Broodwing!" Diggy greeted. "Like my new digs?"

"You may be rich now, but you're still the same disgusting and worthless lowlife!" Broodwing said.

"Why thank you!" Diggy replied happily and ignorantly.

"How about you cut me some of that cash you earned?" Broodwing offered.

"Well, I'm a man of giving, so why not. Here ya go, don't spend it all too fast now." Diggy said, handing Broodwing some dollars.

"Too little. I know you have plenty more dollars to spare..." Broodwing said.

"Ugh, fine, you greedy batfish!" Diggy said, handing him a bigger stack of Keso dollars.

"Excellent, your generosity is most appreciated. However, enough small talk, we have a problem. King Ramos has gone missing..." Broodwing informed, taking him off to the side.

"...Sucks. Anyways, care for some food?" Diggy offered, changing the topic.

"This is a serious issue. The Federation has lost its control here, and they've had no luck finding him." Broodwing explained.

"Well, what do you want me to do about it?" Diggy asked.

"Nothing, I just want to make your allegiance still lines with the Federation and I..." Broodwing questioned.

"O-of course it does, I'll report anything I see or hear." Diggy said.

"Good. The Federation have the best teams available searching for the king." Broodwing said.

We see the two dumb soldiers in a Posidonia forest.

"Dah, I don't see King Ramos anywhere!" one of them said.

"Let's ask that guy, maybe he knows! Hey mister, do you know where Ramos is?" the first soldier asked to a bush, to no response. "It's okay, take your time."

"Maybe this will help..." the other said, as he put a "MISSING" poster with Ramos's face on a tree, with a number to call if anybody spots him.

"Wait, weren't we supposed to not tell people he is missing?" the first soldier asked.

"I dunno, but he is missing, so we need all the help we can get!" the second soldier replied.

"Good point!" the first soldier replied, as they kept searching.

Later at night, a hooded figure, similar to the one from Madison's dream, is seen walking toward the rebel prison at Mt. Spire.

"Halt, who are you?!" a rebel asked, pointing a spear at them, but they shot a lightning bolt from their fin at him, knocking him out. The figure let out a feminine laugh, as they went through the secret entrance.

"Intruder!-" a rebel was yelling, but she let out more electric bolts at the two guards in front, knocking them out. She entered into the prison.

"It's too bad we had to stay overnight and couldn't attend the Queen's celebration." said a guard.

"Yeah, but we have to stay in the line of duty. Who knows what evil lurks at night?" replied another guard.

"Uh...guys, who is that?" asked another guard, pointing to the hooded figure.

They all turned around and saw the figure, but she let out more powerful electric bolts, lifting them up, throwing them, and knocking them out. She then let out bolts at several of the prison cell machines, frying them. She opened the cells of Vinerox, Thorn, Deckel, Morgana, and Argros, and the bolts also broke off their containment units.

"Finally, I'm free!" Argros yelled, laughing.

"Hey, what about me?!" Boboo asked, still in his cell.

"You forgot some of us! Hey you, get back here!" Klobster yelled, as several other prisoners left behind protested.

"Sucks to be you guys, I'm getting out of here." Vinerox said smugly, as he used his vines to lower himself to the ground.

"Oh my, that cell was getting very drab to live in. I'm free, baby!" Deckel said creepily, laughing, as he was in his normal fish form. He hopped down and took off his goggles, shining his eyes onto a rebel soldier, turning him to stone.

In the midst of the prison break, Slypox was seen in his cell, when Argros passed by.

"Hey you, can you help a general out? I have to report back to Admiral Skorch, pronto!" Slypox demanded.

"Oh dang, a Battlestar general? Sure thing, I'll let you out," Argros said, as he smashed open the machine for Slypox's cell.

Slypox jumped off, as he slashed through some rebels with his blade arms, and made his way out. The remaining rebels were taken care of by the other five prisoners.

"That was too easy. Well, I'm blowing this popsicle stand, later, losers!" Vinerox said, about to leave, when the hooded figure clapped and appeared in front of them.

"Impressive." She said.

"Who are you? Why did you set us free?" Thorn asked.

"You can call me...a "friend"." She said, taking down her hood to reveal Valentina.

"Who the heck are you? How did you even find us?" Argros asked, confused.

"I remember you, you were that lady that took the Stone of Light from that stupid king." Morgana recalled.

"Ah yes, the lovely lady who caused a chain of events to set me free from Ramos's dungeon. I am grateful-" Deckel was saying.

"Save it. I don't usually deal with low lives like you, but I have a proposition for you five. How would you like to join me?" Valentina offered.

"I would, but like, I don't even know who you are, so." Thorn replied with an attitude.

"I'm a one man show, sorry lady. I also don't know if I would work well with a metalhead and three shape-shifters." Vinerox said, about to leave, when Valentina shocked him with bolts from her fin, making him stop.

"How did you do that?!" Argros asked.

"I would suggest reconsidering, unless you want to see the rest..." Valentina threatened, holding out her fins.

"And you don't want to see this..." Deckel said, as he was about to take off his goggles.

"I wouldn't do that, or I'll fry your eyes open." Valentina said, readying her electricity.

"...On second thought, we can work something out." Deckel said, nervously.

"Fine, what do you want?" Vinerox asked.

"I decided to pick five beasts to release from this place. I need your help with...a plan of mine. You want revenge on the guardians and knights, correct? Correct, so I want to help you get payback on them." Valentina offered.

"Why, what do you have against them?" Argros asked, still confused, as Valentina shocked him.

"Stop asking questions. All will be revealed in due time. How would you like it if I said I had a way of making you irresistible from being stunned and captured by the knight devices?" Valentina offered.

"Tempting, but how do we know you aren't bluffing, m'lady?" Deckel asked.

Valentina then whispered a spell, and cast out her fins. She let out a magic pulse at the five.

"My body feels so weird." Thorn said.

"I have made you immune to being recaptured by those devices." Valentina said.

"Are you a witch?" Vinerox asked.

"I suppose you could say that. Now let's get out of here, before the others arrive." Valentina said, as she put her hood back up and went off with the five.

Meanwhile, we cut to a large cave in Western Karmania, and at the top, we see Admiral Skorch with several soldier beasts. The cave looked like a military base. From down a hallway, appeared a fish resembling Ramos, who wore blue crystal armor around their body, held a staff, and wore a visor across their eyes.

"General Brak, report." Skorch ordered.

"I've analyzed Central Karmania, admiral. It has been retaken by the rebels and Queen. The Federation are all but driven out of the kingdom." Brak reported.

"I knew we should have just invaded. The King made an impractical call to make my army wait, we could have crushed the resistance together. Since the Federation failed, I'll have to step up to the plate with my army. Still, I feel bad that we cannot make a device to help locate your lost brother." Admiral Skorch said to Brak.

"Thank you, but we must assume Ramos fell in battle." Brak replied, a bit uncaring. "I am most curious though about what they will do with the king position in Posidonia."

"They have put in a temporary replacement for the time being, until he is found." Skorch replied

"I see. That throne should be mine..." Brak whispered to himself, annoyed.

Slypox then walked in, as the soldiers followed him, and held another visitor behind.

"General Slypox, you've returned. I assumed you were dead, it's been weeks. Glad to have you back." Admiral Skorch replied.

"I was captured by the rebels during my scouting mission of Central Karmania. However, a stranger set some of the prisoners free, and I was able to escape." Slypox explained.

"Where is this prison? Perhaps we can start our invasion there by freeing the remaining beasts, and get them to join Battlestar." Skorch suggested.

"They are held at Mt. Spire, sir. I also found someone along my way, who could be of use..." Slypox said, as Frostbite appeared.

"W-wow, I'm finally meeting the great Admiral Skorch! But tone down the heat, it's making me melt in here!" Frostbite said.

"Spare the praise, what does he know, Slypox?" Skorch asked.

"He once fought the guardians and knights, but was able to get away. We can use him to ambush them, since they will most likely investigate the prison." Slypox offered.

"I promise I'll put 'em on ice!" Frostbite said.

"Very well then. BRAK! Unleash your machines..." Skorch ordered.

"Ah yes, my royal weapon." Brak said.

He pulled out a remote, making a bunch of tiny robotic saucers began flying around Frostbite. They shined lights onto him, as he began glowing.

"This will make you more powerful, enhancing your strength, stealth, and attacks. You will be a fighting machine." Brak said.

"Gah, where did you get these filthy things?!" Slypox asked, annoyed by them flying everywhere.

"As royalty, I have access to advanced technology. Far too complex for you to understand." Brak taunted.

As the celebration came to a close, a rebel frantically ran to the heroes.

"Commander, I have terrible news! The rebel prison at Mt. Spire was broken into, and several prisoners were released!" the rebel reported, as they all gasped.

"What?! Who could have found it?!" Ranen asked, uneasy.

"I don't know who they were, they reported a hooded figure who attacked them with lightning bolts or something." the rebel said.

"This is terrible! Who was released?" Madison asked, shocked to hear it matched our dream.

"Argros, Vinerox, Morgana, Thorn, Slypox, and Deckel." the rebel reported.

"At least it wasn't all of them, but why would they only release those six?" Jake wondered.

"This is just a hypothesis on my end, but it is possible the releaser feared that many beasts would overpower them, so they only took a select few." Zero theorized.

"Oh man, not Thorn. She's like my arch-nemesis, even though we only met once." Nick said.

"I don't know if this means anything, but I had a dream where I saw a hooded figure attacking the prison. I thought it was just a nightmare, but..." Madison confessed.

"It may have been a premonition dream. You should go there at once and make sure they don't return." Mai said.

"As bad as it is our prison was discovered, at least they didn't release all of them." Cameron said.

The eight were seen inside the prison, helping the unconscious rebels. They looked around to make sure the other cells were secure.

"Looks like I'll have to upgrade the security on these cell locks." Zero said, analyzing the machines.

"I just don't know who could have done this, did one of Ramos's men figure out where this place is?" Madison asked.

"Or maybe you guys have a mole...and not Diggy." Tori suggested.

"It's possible, but based on the description it didn't sound like a rebel." Jake said, curious and confused.

"Thanks for the help. It could've been worse, but we'll keep a higher security. They were really sneaky to attack the night of the celebration when we had less men available." the rebel said.

"Wait...they attacked during the celebration, it makes sense! They must have planned on there being less security." Madison said.

"That still doesn't answer how they knew where this place was." Audrey said, as she finished flying around and making sure the cells were secure.

"Come on, let us out!" Chamelos yelled, trying to shoot his tongue out at Cynthia. She swatted it back, as the tongue went flying into the cell, getting shocked.

"Everything inside looks secure, guys." Jake said to the rebels.

"Thanks, we'll be on extra alert if anybody comes back." the rebel replied.

"Tell you what, we'll patrol around the outside for you guys." Madison said.

"Thanks, that is appreciated." the rebel replied.

Nick is seen holding out cards in front of Toady's cell.

"I pick that one." Toady said, as Nick turned over the card to show a 5.

"Was this the card you had before?" Nick asked.

"No, it was a 10..." Toady replied

"Oh, guess I need to work on this magic trick a bit." Nick said.

"Nick, get outside! Also, where did you even get cards from?" Cynthia asked.

"I got them at a dollar store, I'm working on being a magician, maybe. Though I think I might not be that good at it, sadly..." Nick rambled, walking outside with the others.

The eight split up, as they scouted around the outsides of the mountain. The girls flew around, while the guys walked around.

"No signs of anybody suspicion, just barren plains ahead..." Nick said, looking through binoculars.

Frostbite looked around from a corner, as he saw Nick in his sights. He then jumped out.

"Surprise!" Frostbite yelled.

"Whoa, it's you, that ice dude! How's life been-" Nick was asking, when Frostbite shot an ice beam at Nick, as it rose up to his head, freezing him in a block of ice.

Cameron was seen on the edge, walking up to the top of the mountain. Frostbite walked up, as he shot an ice beam, but Cameron dodged.

"What the-it's you!" Cameron yelled, as he pulled out his sword.

Frostbite shot another ice beam, but Cameron deflected it with his sword, sending it into a rock, freezing it. While Tori was flying, she saw Frostbite attacking Cameron. She sent a water wave at Frostbite, but he shot an ice beam at it, turning it into an ice weapon. He sent it flying at her, and she dodged.

"Oh great, the ice pun monster is back. Let's finish you fast, buddy, and you can take up an empty cell." Tori threatened, as she flew down. She used her mermaid tail to send a water wave at Frostbite, but he quickly dodged.

"This guy got faster since we last met! I assume you had to do with the jailbreak!" Cameron said.

"I had nothing to do with the jailbreak, but I knew you'd come crawling back to the scene of the crime!" Frostbite said, as he shot a powerful ice gust at both, and they were frozen solid.

Jake was seen with Zero patrolling the other side of the mountain, when Frostbite jumped down in front of them. Frostbite quickly shot an ice beam at both, covering them in ice.

Madison was seen flying around with Cynthia.

"Do you see the others?" Madison asked.

"No...wait, what's that?" Cynthia asked, as she flew down to Nick.

"What happened to Nick?!" Madison asked, confused.

"Wait...ice, does that mean-" Cynthia was wondering, when Frostbite appeared.

"Yup, I'm back, baby!" Frostbite yelled, laughing, as he shot ice beams at both of them, but they flew out of the way.

Madison launched heart blasts at him, but he made his icicle fangs turn cold, and he broke through them with the ice fangs.

"He's gotten tougher!" Cynthia said, making the earth rise up, but Frostbite jumped from the rocks, as he shot an ice beam at Madison. She was frozen solid, and fell to the ground. "Oh no! I need to find Audrey..."

Cynthia quickly flew away, avoiding Frostbite's ice beams.

"No matter, I have six out of eight. Time to collect my prizes..." Frostbite said, as he began to push Nick and Madison's ice blocks.

Frostbite was seen with the six blocks, as he lined them up. He then activated a communication device.

"I have six of them, I will get the last two very shortly. You can come to pick them up." Frostbite reported to Skorch.

"Excellent, do not let them out of your sight." Skorch replied, ending the communication.

Frostbite lined up the blocks, as Cynthia met up with Audrey.

"Where are the others?" Audrey asked.

"They were captured by that ice monster we fought a while back, we have to save them!" Cynthia explained.

The two saw Frostbite with the blocks below.

"Be careful, don't let his ice hit you." Cynthia warned.

They snuck up from behind, as Cynthia threw a rock at him, making him tumble. He angrily got back up.

"There you two are!" Frostbite yelled, shooting ice beams at them, but Cynthia made a wall of rock rise up, blocking a blast.

Cynthia sent it flying to Frostbite, as he used his fangs to smash through the wall. He blasted an ice beam at Audrey, but she sent out a gust of wind at it, as she was able to control the beam, and sent it flying back at Frostbite quickly, knocking him down. Cynthia then made the rocks rise up around him, but he shot an ice beam back at her, as she was beginning to get frozen.

"Audrey, help!" Cynthia yelled.

Audrey then let out a gust at Frostbite, making him go spinning, and went smashing into the mountainside. Cynthia was freed.

"Thanks," Cynthia said.

"Sure thing, now let's free the others!" Audrey said, as the ice for the other six were smashed open.

"I'm awake! What year is it?" Nick asked.

"You guys saved us, nice work." Madison said.

"Yeah, it's time this guy finally met his judgment day." Jake said, as he pulled out the device and scanned Frostbite. "You are under arrest for breaking into Mt. Spire's rebel prison, along with attacking and attempted kidnapping!"

The scanner processed, as it marked him as "Innocent" for breaking into Mt. Spire's prison, confusing the heroes, but marked him as "Guilty" for the latter crime.

"Morons, I didn't break into the prison!" Frostbite yelled, as he tried to shoot an ice beam, but couldn't due to the paralyzation.

"Oh well, you're still under arrest." Jake said, as Madison let out a heart blast on the device, and it fired the containment unit at Frostbite.

Frostbite is seen being thrown into a cell.

"I just wish we knew who released the other six then, and where they went off to." Cameron pondered, as Zero held out a tool kit.

"I've finished upgrading these cell devices, they will be more resistant against attacks. This should prevent further outbreaks. I also will need to install a defense system for this prison now that its location is known by an unidentified intruder." Zero explained, as he got to work.

"I just don't know who else would know the location of this place. I thought only rebels knew." Madison said.

"We'll figure that out another day, you all head back to Posidonia for now. We'll have our defenses ready." the rebel said.

The eight were later seen back at the Golden Seahorse, as Mai made them food.

"Seems like we have a new enemy on the loose, and we don't know who it is. That's just great." Tori said.

"They will reveal themselves in due time, but you must be prepared. Six old enemies are on the loose somewhere in Karmania..." Mai said.

Valentina is seen with the five criminals she let loose in a cave, letting them camp out there.

"Not bad, but I've seen better." Argros said.

"This can be your sanctuary for now, lay low here. Well, have fun. I'll be back tomorrow." Valentina said.

"That's it? You just take us here and like abandon us? That's like, not cool." Thorn said, as Valentina was gone.

"I don't know what her deal is, but she promised she made us invincible from being captured, so they'll be in for a surprise when they see us..." Morgana said, smiling.

Back at the Battlestar base, Skorch learns of Frostbite's capture from a beast warrior.

"It seems like these guardians and knights will be more of a challenge than I anticipated." Skorch said.

"No worries sir, let's go to that prison and release the rest!" Slypox said, readying his blades.

"Hold it. We must be clever and cautious, they are most likely expecting a return, so we'll wait." Skorch said.

"We can wait, but they cannot hide, for they will not be safe forever..." Brak said, laughing.

Now that's funny.

I like how I never notice when these chapters are shorter because so much happens in them. Good to see that Skipper is still the king, Ramos' brother, and the return of some old villains.

I thought this was a great intro to Season 2. It set up a new mysterious villain, had some callbacks from S1 in the form of old villains, and we got to see a little of how everyone is doing following the Ramos take-down. Great premiere!
