    My 84-year-old grandma, my last grandparent alive, is now in the ER, and I'm not sure what for. I don't think this is going to end well...

      Update: she's stable now, and being transferred to a bigger hospital to be treated for some kind of respiratory infection. Not sure how this is gonna go from here, but that's an update.

      I have a grandma around the same age who's also my last grandparent alive, and she's had Alzheimer's for several years now. I feel for you and hope your grandmother gets better.

      Late update: she's doing a good bit better now! In the hospital, recovering from pneumonia and UTI. We're still deciding what happens next.
