  1. Although it's not a good episode and it's incredibly cruel, One Coarse Meal is far far FAR from the worst episode of SpongeBob, at least in terms of enjoyability. I find episodes like Cephalopod Lodge, A Pal for Gary, Gullible Pants, and Summer Job much more frustrating to watch.
  2. Can’t believe powdered didn’t get more votes
  3. Sick of failing myself

  4. Tough choice between Kroger and H-E-B (exclusive to Texas). Surprised Costco isn't on this list
  5. "Mister Mellow" by Maynard Ferguson
  6. Boating Buddies is a good and funny episode. Squidward screaming at the end is a huge highlight of the episode for me.
  7. Hillenburg Community is such a great skin. I should've been using it earlier (I was using V15 Seahorse Dark until maybe 2 weeks ago).

  8. Oh goodie! A thread for me! It's just been pitiful watching Warner Bros. Discovery basically destroy itself over the last 2 years. We're now at the point where we're seeing great channels/brands like Cartoon Network get just utterly gutted and stripped for parts. Focusing on CN for a bit, the website is gone. The studio is gone (legally, it exists, but in reality, it is just a label for certain productions from Warner Bros. Animation, as I understand it). The network ends at 4pm where I live. 4pm! When I was a kid, that was the time I would start watching Nickelodeon when PBS Kids ended! (I was a homeschooled PBS kid back in the day, but I digress.) That's when my niece gets home from school! They can't even reach big chunks of their target audience on their own channel now! And the fact that they shut down the website proves they don't care about it beyond having it as a brand for some franchises and some shows on HBO Max. It's funny thinking back to how people were screeching about the death of CN in 2018. At least it was still treated as useful. At least the network seemed like it had life. They barely exist now. That, of course, doesn't even scratch the surface of WBD's problems right now. How about the drastic increase in write-offs since the merger happened? We might never legally see any of the shows or movies that got written off again, if they were ever released in the first place that is. How about the fact that their net income last year was negative 3 billion dollars? How about the fact that they just admitted they lost 10 billion dollars and took a 9 billion dollar write down on their cable biz? I have no idea how WBD is going to recover from this, but it won't happen under Zaslav. Maybe the fact that his way of running the company is losing them probably more money than ever will finally convince their board to fire him.
  9. Now I have a better answer: Inside Out 2
  10. I’m not watching it til it’s official release, but thinking about this made me realize that there isn’t really anything wrong with the idea of character spinoff movies for SpongeBob any more than there is with episodes that focus on other characters (well, other than that it comes across as more gimmicky on paper, but this sounds like it has potential).
  11. https://www.nickalive.net/2024/05/peter-bennett-long-time-art-director-on.html I was shocked to hear from show crew members on Instagram that he had died. Not only had he been the art director since Season 4 (taking over from Nick Jennings), but he also had been with the show from the beginning as a background painter. Rest in peace Peter Bennett.

  12. I was mad and frustrated but doing a little better now. I got a tornado (or really strong storm - it kinda doesn’t matter tbh) that caused a 25 hour power outage that ruined all our refrigerated and frozen food, and I had to throw everything out and clean a bunch of melting stuff from the fridge and freezer defrosting. I didn’t have any consistent internet until about an hour and a half ago. The whole day was ruined dealing with the aftermath of the tornado. I hope tomorrow (technically today but whatever) is better.
  13. Huh…I didn’t know about this scene. This wasn’t the only deleted scene from this episode either. You know that meme where SpongeBob swells up and turns red? That was another scene that got cut from it. Sucks that those poor animators spend so much time making these scenes only for them to get thrown away in the end.
