I just rewatched it, and it is in a lot of parts, especially the dance scene. The Hey Arnold movie has a lot of loose expressive animation like that The episode was also directed by a SpongeBob director <3 Fluid animation is so amazing to me....i just ugh? it makes anything animation like 10 times better It's why I wish there were more 2D films in theaters, because the animation so rarely disappoints, and looks great. it's always so bouncy and expressive and smooth and just alive. Been collecting those Season sets ever since <3 I forgot how fluid the animation in the show itself could/still can be when it wants to. Any episode with Brad Bird's name on it just moved so well.
