I love The Californians lel.

But seeiously, why over-promote your show and then just forget about it like months later? I've seen this happen to Harvey Beaks and even Sanjay & Craig (eww).

I think their biggest missed opportunity this summer was making a theme for all summer. I remember when they did the Beach Party and Summer Splash themes where they had actual Nicktoon characters hosting the new episodes back when they actually premiered them in the summer. They haven't done anything like this in years, which may have to do with their lower ratings, but even if they did something with SpongeBob, the Ninja Turtles, Fairly Odd Parents, Harvey, and maybe even the newer Nicktoons hosting the summer releases in a funny and interesting way I'm sure they would have pulled in a lot more viewers.

Is Viacom just preparing to kill this channel or what is going on.. how can they be this stupid?

Well maybe they're cutting down premieres for shows so they can have one big epic marathon to kill off the network and sell the shows to other networks.

WAIT A MINUTE I JUST GOT AN IDEA: If this were to happen, Cartoon Network could buy SpongeBob.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I feel like Nickelodeon doesn't give a crap about anything anymore. If they cared about money, they'd let us see the next SpongeBob episodes. It feel like they are just giving up because Disney and CN are getting more views.

I feel like Viacom is killing them EA style.

I give them two years before Nickelodeon completely overhauls their network and cancels everything but SpongeBob and TMNT (although Harvey Beaks is amazing). They really need a change in managment honestly.

If they would do this, their ratings wouldn't be declining-

a) Give new shows like Harvey Beaks a fair shot before just ending them. I believe a board artist on Harvey said that he doesn't like that Nick immediately cancels a show if it doesn't get SpongeBob-tier ratings even though that took around 2 years to find it's footing.

b ) Stop searching for the new SpongeBob. Cartoon Network's approach seems to be to have shows that appeal to all demographics of cartoon viewers. They give all of them a fair shot (although TTG! gets too much attention, but it's understandable why) Nick's shows are all the exact same, barring Harvey Beaks. That's what's not working. If you want more people tuning in, you need shows that appeal to different target demos.

c) Their live-action sitcoms are a complete mess. First off- there was that controversy over Bella and the Bulldogs, and they seem to be about the same thing. Dan Schnieder burnout is also a huge issue. All of their sitcoms are about....teen kids in school who are all somehow popular and/or famous and they constantly end them and overadverise them. Why?

d) Their scheduling is a complete mess. They air too much of SpongeBob and whatever teen sitcom is popular at the time. The general audience usually gets bored of it. Say, if they cut down SpongeBob airings to maybe once a day, people wouldn't be complaining as much. Stuff like Harvey Beaks and Sanjay and Craig are rarely, if ever reruned anyways.

e) Advertise your shows more.

>Nick brags about supposedly having fresh new content, which would be great to release in Summer since school's not in session.

>Nick lies about it.

Also I absolutely hate how they stretch these seasons out for eternity. This doesn't build up stuff Nick, it only pisses people off.

What Bella And The Bulldogs controversy?

What Bella And The Bulldogs controversy?

I'm assuming they are referring to the controversy about one of the creators apparently directing pornography. Not sure how true that is, though.

Anyways yeah, like CNF said, Nick is doing terrible right now. The fact it's getting below one million in views is not good. Those are only ratings channels like Disney XD and Discovery Family (formally The Hub) would get, since they aren't on all Cable Providers.
