Wendy Ferris got in an "uproar" about having to re-bake a batch of cookies that a co-worker had burnt, according to Fox Boston. "I'm thinking about going out to buy an AK-47 and shooting this [expletive] school up!" Ferris said, according to a police report. Ferris, who is head cook at King Philip Middle School in Norfolk, Mass., was arrested Friday after the school's assistant superintendent contacted police when he learned about the threats from the cafeteria manager. She also got into a heated discussion with the school's nurse when she went looking for a band-aid. Ferris is said to have told a co-worker that she "had a list" and that the nurse was at the top of it, according to ABC News. Co-workers also told police that Ferris had boasted about shooting a coyote in her yard recently, according to WCVB. The station reports that she owns a registered 9mm handgun. Ferris denies the allegations. Outside Ferris' arraignment Monday, the accused woman's husband said he also disputes them. “It’s beyond me where this comes from,” Phillip Ferris said, according to the Sun Chronicle. "[she's] a good person.” Ferris is being held on $5,000 bail and was ordered to surrender her guns and stay away from the school. She is currently on paid administrative leave. Because you live there and the rest of us don't? - This little story is just painful. This is probably the fourth time in over the course of nearly/under six months where I hear about a school being threatened under fire, except that this was just a threat.
