Thinking ahead about the best/worst of the year thread for 2017. I'm probably not going to do a Worst of Television list since I don't feel like talking about Family Guy for the umpteenth time or how Fuller House has become unbearable (which it has). Sorry to break anyone's hearts for the heads up, so I'll just say Big Mouth is the worst show of 2017 just for that trailer alone.

So yeah...that new Jenifer Lawrence/Darren Aronofsky movie, mother! I...I got nothing. This is the first time in a long time I've seriously left a movie speechless. Like I have no idea if I admire it or if it pissed me off. Because it seriously made me feel like both. A lot. Definitely the most interesting movie I've seen in quite some time.

This goes out to everyone.
I was a mod/admin on this site for many years and I understand Metal's view point on how people were acting and trying to prevent future incidents like today. Incidents like this are bound to happen, especially with hot button debates like political discussion. I think there were some instances even when I was commenting where I felt that some people were making comments that were kind of trigger-lite. But that is bound to come with having a political discussion. Debates happen. Trying to explain your views happen. However, I disagree that not EVERYONE was acting out of line. For example, Katniss had every right to be offended and react the way she reacted and honestly with what Renegade said to her, she handled herself very well. There are certain boundaries that should not be stepped across and commenting on how a young black woman should accept the Confederate flag, a Confederate general statue, and all the history that came with it...yeah if I was in her shoes, I would be incredibly heated. Hitting the report button wouldn't have simply resolved someone stepping way out of line acting the way Ren acted.
I wouldn't interpret one bad incident equaling this site spiraling out of control. It's how we rebound from it that will define how we move on from it. I have faith that everything will be alright because we are a closer together group than SBM where one incident defined the site for over a week.
