We watched the movie today in class, which is why I thought I should include the song in this entry. It's a great movie. We watched it because it's a social commentary about life in the late '60s, to an extent. Plus, if you're a stoner - which I'm sure none of you are - well, those colors will give you the best high you've ever had! Not that I speak from experience... Song 27- "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Glee Cast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amuuQLl9ook I prefer this one to the version by the 770 pound man. But really, RIP Iz. Song 28- "Loser" by Glee Cast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtunONVCqcQ I already loved this song, but I like it even more now that it was on Glee. Song 29- "Beth" by Glee Cast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_bfmZad880 You can hate on me all you want, but I like this version more than KISS's version. It seems more heartfelt, and I love the context in which it was used. And for those who don't watch Glee, the girls (and Kurt) are dressed like that because this is the episode in which they paid tribute to Lady Gaga and her "theatricality." Song 30- "Poker Face" by Glee Cast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0PzZjCZX2k I adore Glee slowing down this song so you can understand what the fuck the lyrics are. Critics criticized the performance for having Rachel sing Poker Face to her mother, but oh well. It's beautiful, and I think it makes sense to put it there. The glee club was singing Lady Gaga songs, so it was probably the first song on her mind. It's not like she was thinking about getting her mother hot and showing her what she's got.
