Merged.

This is the way I look at the awards shows-

The Hollywood Foreign press are always biased toward one of two things.

1) A new, critically acclaimed show that has received praise and very little bad press. (For example, 30 Rock)

2) A show that retains good critical praise and award support even if the show is going downhill. (Like Modern Family)

If we're looking at Glee, this is how it looks:

Season One (2010 Golden Globes) - 4 nominations, 1 won.

Season Two (2011 Golden Globes) - 5 nominations, 3 won.

Season Three (2012 Golden Globes) - 1 nomination, 0 won.

Season One, the show was brand new. Season Two, following the success of Season One, had more nominations and wins. However, following the bad press Season two received, Season Three has had less nominations and Wins.

It seems to be the first few seasons, a show is successful and wins awards, but then is overlooked for newer or more popular shows. With the exception of Parks and Rec, The Middle and Community, all of which are praised heavily by critics and snubbed year after year.
