Thompson & Allen: Attorneys of Law

Remember that new law dramedy that I have briefly mentioned for the past week or so? Well I thought I would make the thread for it before I go on vacation.

Plot: After the passing of his father Harold SquarePants, SpongeBob inherits his father's law firm and becomes the new senior partner. However, this spin-off is not about him. It's about the two young lawyers, Drake Thompson and Jared Allen, who SpongeBob hires to breath new life into the stuffy law firm.

Drake Thompson - self-loving, charming lawyer. You can also find him on my semi-reality show Spin-Off Island.

Jared Allen - Drake's best friend and legal partner. He is slightly more mature and level-headed than Drake. Helpless romantic.

SpongeBob SquarePants - the eccentric, yet easy-going senior partner of the law firm Bikini Bottom Law, who hires Thompson and Allen after witnessing their different, yet effective style in action.

Dante Carp - son of a former famous lawyer that use to work for Bikini Bottom Law. Becomes ridiculously jealous of Drake and Jared.

Susie Salmon - a former criminal that works under Drake and Jared. A bit hard-headed, but has the right intentions to redeem herself after her troubled past.

More characters will be introduced into the series as it goes on, but these five are the main cast. The pilot will appear when I come back from vacation. Early thoughts are welcome.

A few notes before reading. I wrote all this on Microsoft Word and for some reason, it was not imported the way I typed it up on there, so that may lead to some errors in appearance. I tried my best to fix what I could. I have no clue when I will be able to start doing this weekly. I guess once my wrist is fully healed. Luckily, I wrote 90% of this before the injury. The other 10% took a whole two hours, but here we go. Hope you guys enjoy.

1. Pilot

Spongebob placed the flower on the casket after reciting a poem he found that summed up his feelings towards his father, Harold Squarepants. He loved him so much and will miss him dearly. He went towards his mother and gave her a big hug telling her that everything was going to be alright. The casket was lowered into the ground as everyone held their heads in silence while the priest recited a prayer.

After the reception, Spongebob, his mother Claire, Uncle Sherm, Uncle Captain Blue, and his cousins Stanley, Blackjack, and Todd (SN: I discovered the latter in my little cousinÔÇÖs story reader book, so thatÔÇÖs how I know of his existence) were all waiting in a room as a man came in to read off HaroldÔÇÖs will and testament.

ÔÇ£What I have in front of me is the will and testament of Harold Arthur Squarepants. He loved his family more than anyone can imagine, so that is why he is leaving his belongings onto all of you.ÔÇØ

A half hour went by as everyone except Spongebob were being bestowed valuable treasures of Harold. From cars to valuable personal items that were important to Harold and his savings which were being given to Claire. Finally, the man arrived at what Spongebob was being awarded.

.and to my son, Spongebob. What I love most about you is that you are always content with what you have surrounding you. From your pineapple, to not having a drivers license yet, all the way to being a fry cook. You are an amazing fry cook, but I truly feel that you can do much more than you give yourself credit for. That is why I want you to be the new senior partner of my law firm at Bikini Bottom Law.

Spongebob gasped in excitement.

ÔÇ£Me?? The new head of Bikini Bottom Law??ÔÇØ Spongebob asked.

Spongebob use to love visiting his dadÔÇÖs office when he was a kid. He always dreamed of being a master fry cook, but he couldnÔÇÖt help but feel that he could have a future as a lawyer. That is why he took advantage of the opportunity presented to him during the episode Krabs vs Plankton when he was asked to take over as Mr. Krabs lawyer. Now, he will soon be reliving that dream in a more permanent surrounding.

A sexy female in lingerie is laying down on a bed.

ÔÇ£I want you in my bed! So what are you waiting for?ÔÇØ

The camera starts to zooms out as the commercial on the billboard continues to air.

ÔÇ£Come see me at Bed Masters for a great night sleep with all our wonderful bed supplies. We got mattresses, quilts, sheets, and so much more. ThatÔÇÖs 1254 Reef Road on the right next to the Kelp Shakes Stand and Donut World. DonÔÇÖt leave me waiting all night for you.ÔÇØ

Busy people are walking around as two male fish dressed in casual attire are sitting eating hot dogs while partaking in casual conversation.

ÔÇ£Jared, you are making things way too complicated. ItÔÇÖs just a simple question. What are the odds of you sleeping with Princess Mindy?ÔÇØ the guy asked.

ÔÇ£Drake, your question is fundamentally flawed. She is royal ancestry and is way out of our league. I mean I would have to be ridiculously famous for her to even notice me. Are you asking the question as if she knew who I was?ÔÇØ Jared responded.

ÔÇ£Dude itÔÇÖs a simple shoot the shit question. There is no chance of either of us actually meeting her. Just pretend that she knows who you are and you look like you, but she just recognizes who you are.ÔÇØ Drake asked.

ÔÇ£Ok well in that case, there is a 4 to 1 chance that she would have sex with me.ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£4 to 1? You are out of your fucking mind. I just saw her the other day on video and she is drop dead gorgeous.ÔÇØ

Well she turns 92 on December 19, she sounds like Scarlett Johansson and she doesnt even look a day over 25.

ÔÇØWow, putting aside the fact that you have her birthday memorized off the top of your head Mr. Creepy Stalker, you have to include the fact that she is probably going to grow even older.ÔÇØ

Well hey, the odds plummet the older she gets. But for you guys like you and me, its all about..

Drake and Jared place their hot dogs down and run out of the restaurant. They make their way through traffic to the damaged boatmobile.

ÔÇ£Sir are you okay? We are lawyers and you are victim to one of the greatest dangers that faces our city. We would like to help you collect.ÔÇØ Jared states.

ÔÇ£But this whole accident is my fault. I was the one who crashed into another driver.ÔÇØ the man explains.

ÔÇ£Oh it doesnÔÇÖt matter sir. Studies show that it is impossible to operate a vehicle in an urban environment when you have to take your eyes off the road for no more than six seconds. That ad runs for at least fifteen.ÔÇØ Drake responds as he points to the mattress commercial billboard from earlier which is nearby where the accident partakes.

ÔÇ£Come by our office and weÔÇÖll talk strategy. We are Thompson and Allen. We got your back brah.ÔÇØ Jared tells the driver handing him their business card.

The victim of the car accident gets out of her car and yells at Drake and Jared as they walk away from the scene.

We arrive back at Drake and JaredÔÇÖs bachelor pad. The two live in a small condo, but they make the most of it as its grand party central, but at the same time, their business office since they are independent lawyers. The only other person that works under them is a former convict named Susie Salmon. Susie is not able to become a lawyer due to her past legal troubles since she was arrested and spent time in jail for hiding an escaped convict (an ex-boyfriend) in her house, but she is greatful that Drake and Jared gave her a second chance as an aide to them.

ÔÇ£So I have a question, when am I going to ever get paid again?ÔÇØ Susie asked.

ÔÇ£Well, we have the billboard ad trial tomorrow. We are hoping to win and if we donÔÇÖt, I will sell my soul to the devil.ÔÇØ Drake responds.

ÔÇ£Well I did my research and guess who we got as the Deputy DA tomorrow?ÔÇØ Susie asks as she and Drake both stare at Jared.

Jared knows why they are looking at him as he knows now that Susie is referring to Pam, his recent ex-girlfriend. Pam and Jared dated for six months, before they broke up. Pam broke up with Jared as she felt that there was no future for the both of them. She felt that Jared was not mature enough for a committed relationship as she was ready to find someone she has a real future with. However, Jared felt that there was a connection between them and he feels that what they had was love.

Let me guess.Bikini Bottom Law? Oh and to be more precise, we are going up against Pam? Jared asked.

ÔÇ£Yep. The team consists of her and Dante. This will be the first case under the new regiment of BBLÔÇÖs new senior partner. Who knows, maybe if we impress them well enough, they might hire you guys.ÔÇØ Susie said.

ÔÇ£Oh please, guys like us are not meant for big time law firms like BBL.ÔÇØ Drake says.

Spongebob arrives at Bikini Bottom Law ready for his first day on the job. Stoked with anticipation he walks into the corporate building. He immediately gets directed towards his office as a secretary is explaining what his job is. Overflown with so much information, he canÔÇÖt help but have his head spinning. Spongebob then attempts to do the work that is set aside before him. He realizes that he should have paid more attention to what the woman was telling him. So many complicating details, subpoena this, verdict that. He misses the grease filled world of the Krusty Krab. He is starting to miss the excitement that is Squidward and the wonderful boss that is Mr. Krabs. ThatÔÇÖs when it hit Spongebob. Maybe he should use some of the techniques that Mr. Krabs applied to the workplace and maybe he might enjoy Bikini Bottom Law a bit more.

As Spongebob was in the process of remodeling his office, Dante Carp walked in. Dante is the son of one of the most famous lawyers in Bikini Bottom history, Daniel Carp. Dante has always lived in the shadows of his father and that gives him a bit more of a mean streak in terms of his methods. He is just waiting for his one breakout moment to show what he is really made of. Not only to Bikini Bottom Law, but to the rest of the deep blue sea. He is envious that Spongebob, who has never been associated with law, is the new senior partner.

ÔÇ£Mr. Squarepants, what do you think you are doing?ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£Oh hi, Dante. ItÔÇÖs been a while since my dad was the boss of your dad.ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£Unfortunately, I remember those times? So are you going to answer my question?ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£Oh yeah. I was just making over my office. I mean, its so bland and boring. That is why I am having my buddy Patrick come by and drop off my video game console, my DVD player compiled with my ka-ra-te lessons, and my Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy comics.ÔÇØ

Ok as long as you arent doing anything too maj..what??????

ÔÇØBahahaha! YouÔÇÖre facial expression right now is priceless.ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£Nevermind that, in case you didnÔÇÖt get the memo, you are suppose to be attending me and AmyÔÇÖs court case at 2. ItÔÇÖs 1:30, you should probably get their now before its too late.ÔÇØ

Spongebob made his way out the door as he called a taxi to take him to the courthouse. As he got out, he bumped into Drake and Jared.

ÔÇ£Oh excuse me my good sirs.ÔÇØ Spongebob said.

ÔÇ£You are fine my good man. I like what you are wearing. Not too business professional, but still casual enough for a civil case. Nice.ÔÇØ Drake replied.

ÔÇ£Why thank you. I have hundreds of the same outfit at home.ÔÇØ

Spongebob then walked into the court house as he sat there ready to watch the impending trial as Drake and Jared took on Dante and Amy in the pending civil case of Bed MasterÔÇÖs billboard being a distraction for motorists. Miss Addison Eliades (aka the model in the Bed Masters ad) was sitting on the bench ready to be questioned by the jury.

ÔÇ£Miss Eliades, can you please tell us what made you take the job as the Bed Masters model?ÔÇØ Drake asked.

ÔÇ£I have been looking for work for quite some time when I saw a Help Wanted sign at the Bikini Bottom Talent agency for someone who has modeling experience and knows how to demand attention.ÔÇØ Miss Eliades.

ÔÇ£Demanding attention, eh? Can you please inform me what you mean by that?ÔÇØ

Drake then suggestively winks at Miss Eliades who proceeds to start unbuttoning her blouse, revealing her bra in the process and the court room starts to react with whispers and confused faces.

ÔÇ£Your honor, she is disrobing, are you going to do something about this?ÔÇØ Dante plead.

ÔÇ£Miss Eliades, please refrain from taking off your blouse in the court room.ÔÇØ The honorable Judge Trout stated.

As Miss Eliades starts to button herself up, Drake leans over and whispers to her to not listen to what Judge Trout said. Miss Eliades then proceeded to take her blouse off completely and started waving the blouse around. As she was jiggling her bosoms and arousing not only the audience, but the jury as well, security escorted Drake from the courtroom for telling Miss Eliades to disregard Judge TroutÔÇÖs orders. After the courtroom settled down and Miss Eliades was taken out of the courtroom as well, the proceedings continued. Jared took over as he walked to the front of the courtroom.

I apologize for what went down with my partner and Miss Eliades. Apparently, both get caught up in the heat of the moment and just do whatever they want. Now lets go back to what Miss Eliades had to say. When it came to what Bikini Bottom Talent agency was looking for, she said

Jared said nothing as he was drawing a blank look on his face.

Im sorry. Im drawing a complete blank right now. Did anyone remember what Miss Eliades said? Court reporter, did you write anything down?

Im sorry.I was distracted. The court reporter replied.

ÔÇ£Distracted eh? Anyone remember? Jury? Judge Trout? Opposing attorneys?ÔÇØ

No one spoke up as they all had confused looks on their faces.

"Should we bring Miss Eliades back in here?"

"Absolutely not Mr. Allen." Judge Trout stated.

ÔÇ£Well it seems as if we were all distracted in court by Miss EliadesÔÇÖs shenanigans, I wonder what it would be like to be distracted by her while operating heavy machinery on the road? I mean a half naked women trying to seduce you and sell comfortable mattresses at the same time during a fifteen second time frame? That would demand my attention while driving. I am finished your honor.ÔÇØ

Jared headed back to his seat as the court room was astonished by the reasoning of JaredÔÇÖs argument. There was no way of turning it around against him as Jared won the court case for his client. Spongebob liked what he saw as he realized that Drake and JaredÔÇÖs show today was all preplanned. He wanted them at Bikini Bottom Law because they could use a couple lawyers with a different approach like theirs. He must have them on his team, so Spongebob found Drake and Jared after the hearing was settled.

ÔÇ£Hello again, mind if I borrow the both of you real quick? I want to propose not only the price for our settlement, but offer you full time positions at our law firm. You guys are impressive. Imagine working for the most famous law firm in Bikini Bottom? You guys could become bigger than you even imagine.ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£Thompson and Allen are a team and we donÔÇÖt sell out for perks like being in the most prestigious law firm in Bikini Bottom. Right Jared?ÔÇØ Drake stated.

Jared was distracted as he saw Pam walk bye with Dante as Dante shot a glance at Jared as he was still bitter over their loss today.

maybe we should give BBL a shot Drake. I mean whats wrong with being assigned actual cases instead of just trying to find trouble on our own? Jared stated.

ÔÇ£Are you just saying that because you still have feelings for Pam?ÔÇØ Drake assumed.

Pshno. I just think that we could be looked as more credible and the pay would probably be better. Jared said.

ÔÇ£Whatever. I guess we are in.ÔÇØ Drake replied.

ÔÇØBAHAHAHAHAHA! Awesome news. You boys start Monday. Look forward to having you on board.ÔÇØ Spongebob said.

As Spongebob chuckled and walked away, Drake shot a stare of concern while Jared wondered what he just got themselves into.
