William Leonard
Ambiancé is a 720-hour long film currently being made by a very obscure filmmaker named Anders Weberg. When it is finished in 2020, it will be screened on New Years' Eve at locations all around the world simultaneously for its full 30-day duration, and then all copies of the film - as well as all materials used to make it - will be destroyed. "In Ambiancé, space and time are intertwined into a surreal dream-like journey beyond places and is an abstract nonlinear narrative summary of the artist’s time spent with the moving image - a sort of memoir movie (film memoir). This is the visual expression that has characterized all works throughout the artist's career. This will be the last film Anders will ever make."A 7 minute, 20 seconds teaser of the film was posted on Vimeo on July 4, 2014 and was viewed almost 300,000 times before being removed July 20th. Another trailer, this time 7 hours and 20 minutes, will be released in 2016. A 72 hour trailer will be released in 2018.The creator has made an FAQ on the film's website where you can learn more about how and why he is making the film. You can also watch his previous films on Vimeo.
Clappy
Well this sounds like the biggest gimmick ever. Who wants to actually watch a film for 30 days straight?

MMM
What's the point if you'll only screen it once at all before destroying it?

Metal Snake
Confusion...awkward unsettlement...and apathy. I have never felt such a strange combination of all three.

terminoob
That's gonna be a lot of weed for me to burn through Make sure to sneak in more than enough, you don't want to run out. Movie theater weed is so over-priced.
William Leonard
Funnily enough, the creator of the film doesn't expect that anybody will be able to watch the full month-long film, and has acknowledged that it is physically impossible to do so. He believes that's one of the cool things about the film - only HE will have been able to watch all of it, as he is the only person working on it and he will have viewed every part of the film by the time he's finished with it. Also yeah The Cure for Insomnia ftw. (This film's gonna be almost ten times longer though.)
