Emotional Build Up

Yes I realize the first movie already did it, but in order to have a real passion for any movie this is usually needed. In the first movie SpongeBob dealt with the fact that everyone viewed him more as nothing but a goofball kid and it really got him down. But by the end he realized there was nothing wrong with being yourself and he "did all the things they said a kid couldn't do". I am aware this movie looks a bit more sillier than the first, but still. Remember when Bikini Bottom was taken over in this trailer? (Reminds me of Planktopolis.) Maybe there's something the friends being loyal to each other in the film? Since we do have every main character in there, even Plankton.

Very interesting idea... I do hope there is emotion in the film. Maybe not "build up," but some emotion that has always made SpongeBob SpongeBob.

PLEASE no crying, though.

I think you mean wailing

Crying the tear of the goofy goober was very powerful and got me in the soul.

But annoyingly wailing does nothing for me.

In the earlier episodes he would almost never cry so when he did it actually meant something.
