William Leonard
12 seasons at the most. I don't see it staying for much longer, seeing as they have a second movie coming up, which will mean a hiatus afterwards. 1
crushingmayhem
Spongebob has a long life ahead, although this could change once the second movie comes out, which could change the series in a major way. What I see happening after the 2nd movie is probably at least two more seasons and the show will end.
Dragonball Z
12 seasons at the most. I don't see it staying for much longer, seeing as they have a second movie coming up, which will mean a hiatus afterwards. That sounds good to me. I don't want "Spongebob Squarepants" going down the road that "The Simpsons" have taken; I.E. Making FAR too many seasons of poor quality on a channel/network that NEVER seems to cancel the show for some mondo/bizarro reason that NOBODY really seems to comprehend! Although I would be happy with a spin-off series, as long as it didn't have any STUPID episodes in it; I.E. "Boating Buddies!" Enough said! spongebobapantis
There's definitely gonna be at least 15 seasons total before the series ends.
sb10
I hope there will be 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000... more seasons!!!
Sweat
Probably 12 or 13 seasons. It CANNOT last longer than that. If it did, it'd be the new Simpsons and that's not good.
Moar Boy
My guess is like 14 or 15 seasons, or after the second movie it either ends or put on hiatus.

crushingmayhem
Nothing last forever, but Spongebob is a unique case of a show that has lasted for a long time despite the shifting demographics.
E.V.I.L.
See, here's the thing. The movie is what is the MAIN (90%) deciding factor of the continuity of this show. If the movie BOMBS, goodbye little sponge. If the movie does good, we can expect a few more seasons. If the movie does FILTHILY well, this show will last a LOT longer. It all depends on how popular the movie makes the show. There's no doubt the movie will be exciting, but expect it to be one of the biggest make-or-break situations in the series, only rivaling the first movie.
crushingmayhem
I can see how your theory would work, but even if the movie flops I just don't see the show going in the same direction. After all, The Last Airbender didn't stop The Legend of Korra so why would this movie stop SB?

If the movie flops, the show stopping can't be guaranteed, but that movie is one of the biggest ways to increase the show's popularity. We hope it has the same fate as the first. But if the movie succeeds then SB has a long future ahead of it.
Godzilla
I think the show might last a couple more seasons. Around 11 or 12, I'd say.
E.V.I.L.
Why not 1999 seasons?

Cwn
24... Wait, I've got something funnier than 24... 25! But seriously, I'm guessing about 14. That seems reasonable.
crushingmayhem
Why not 1999 seasons? That's not possible at all, but Spongebob will last for a long time. My estimate is at least 4 more seasons or so.
