Jjs Goodman Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 Release Date: March 4th, 2021 Where to Watch: Paramount+, Apple TV Plot: SpongeBob and Patrick find buried treasure at camp, but Mr. Krabs becomes desperate to get his claws on it. If you have Apple TV, you can already watch this.
4EverGreen Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 This is PRECISELY the way Mr. Krabs should BE characterized, when it comes to WANTING money, and just HOW he goes about getting it! When Spongebob and Patrick unexpectedly discover Buried Treasure (which turns out to be a BIG "Brick Joke" later, and is a nice little continuity reminder about how Mr. Krabs hasn't learned about banks yet); Spongebob and Patrick suddenly become rich beyond their wildest dreams! Even though Mr. Krabs WANTS the money, he never DOES anything illegal or unethical to get it, he merely convinces the kids to spend their money on things they want, but don't necessarily need. However, some of the things that Spongebob and Patrick WANT to do, are grueling, even for someone as fit as Mr. Krabs! But Mr. Krabs DOES manage to get all the money legally, BUT (and here's where the BIG "Brick Joke" comes in), Mr. Krabs discovers that all the money that Spongebob and Patrick found, WAS Mr. Krabs' to begin with! This may be the BEST well-written case of being "Obliviously Evil" ever done, because Spongebob and Patrick never REALIZED that the money was never SUPPOSED to be theirs! Unfortunately, Mr. Krabs doesn't learn his lesson well enough, and instead buries his chest in a DIFFERENT place...within a shallow cliff, and the bottom caves in, causing the money to fall OUT of the chest, and to ALL the other campers! Here we go AGAIN! All in all, I'd have to give this episode a 9.4 out of 10! Enough said, true believers!
