70s
A new lit that I will be working on (and Ex may help on). Here is the first chapter. Yes, it is very short. That is very intentional. Other chapters will be much longer. Chapter One - I Love New York A woman is running down the streets of New York as fast as she can. A man in a red suit (exactly like the one seen at http://www.officialrepostore.com/reposhop09/images/REPO_3932.jpg ) is chasing after her, and the woman starts to sing. SONG: "I Love New York" by Madonna "I don't like cities, but I like New York Other places make me feel like a dork Los Angeles is for people who sleep Paris and London, baby you can keep Baby you can keep (8x) Other cities always make me mad Other places always make me sad No other city ever made me glad Except New York I love New York I love New York I love New York If you don't like my attitude, then you can F-off Just go to Texas, isn't that where they golf? New York is not for little pussies who scream If you can't stand the heat, then get off my street Get off my street (8x) Other cities always make me mad Other places always make me sad No other city ever made me glad Except New York I love New York I love New York I love New York I love New York (Get off my street, get off my street) (4x) (Get off my street) (10x)" She continues running but the man eventually catches up and grabs her, encouraging her screaming, relishing in it even. He says, "You've kept us waiting long enough," and cuts out her liver as people on the streets of New York walk by, just trying to get away. The man in the suit scrapes the blood off the knife with the gloves he is wearing as people continue to walk idly by. This is New York in the not-so-distant future. --- The second chapter should be coming soon.

70s
Here is the last chapter to be posted today. More coming soon. Would really appreciate some thoughts. Chapter Two: Tom's Two Front Teeth Tom Collins is a resident of New York City who is afflicted with AIDS. He was a music teacher at a local middle school, and when his students found out he was a homosexual with AIDS there was pandemonium. He was eventually fired due to the controversy he had caused at the school. The school board had deemed it a distraction to the school's learning environment. During all the chaos there were protests that virtually dragged his name through the mud. He could still work, but not in very high-paying jobs, and none were long-term. Only a few odd-jobs here and there. It was not a great way to live. So, Collins lived with his two friends Roger and Mark. Roger also had AIDS, but more on that later. Right now Collins was walking the streets of New York trying to look for work. He needed money to buy his piano back. He had pawned his piano because he had to go to the dentist to fix his tooth... until he found out -- after he had already spent his money on the dentist -- that the dentist could do nothing. His left front tooth had been knocked out completely after, during one of the protests, he was walking down the street and was beaten brutally. The doctor said there was something he could do, but it would be extremely costly. More costly than Collins could ever dream of paying for. As Collins was walking down the road the Repo man dropped down in front of him. "Tom Collins, you must return your heart to GeneCo," said the Repo man. "I didn't borrow any money from GeneCo!" Collins screamed. "I didn't take anything from them! I didn't promise them my heart!" Collins started to run but was grabbed by the Repo man. Collins bit his hand and the Repo man growled. The Repo man grabbed Collins and extracted his right front tooth. "You won't be using THAT anymore!" the Repo man spat. Collins screamed in pain and got up to run but the Repo man grabbed him again. ~~~ Angel Dumott Schunard was skipping down the street. He was a drag queen. He got funny looks and loved it. He embraced them, actually. As he was skipping down the road he noticed a man being tortured by the Repo man. The man screamed, "I didn't do anything!" and Angel could tell it was genuine. He ran to the man's rescue and said to the Repo man, "GO! Go away! Check your sources! Come back later if you have to! But for now, GO!" The Repo man left as soon as Angel said that. "How did you do that?" Collins asked. "That's not important," Angel said. "What's important is that you're safe." He smiled kindly. "I'm Tom," Collins said. "Tom Collins." "Angel," Angel shook his hand and helped him up. "Definitely..." said Collins. Angel laughed. The two of them started walking together. During the walk Collins started to shiver and shake. "What's wrong?" Angel asked. "Sorry..." Collins said. "I'm just... well, honestly I'm scared. It's been a rough six months for me." Collins then shared with Angel everything that had happened. "Oh, you poor thing," said Angel. "I feel so bad. And... well, I have AIDS too." "You do?" Collins asked. "Yes," said Angel. "For three years now. It's difficult." "How do you live with it?" Collins asked him. Angel took his hand and began to sing. SONG: "My Favorite Things" by Julie Andrews (from The Sound of Music) LINK: "Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things! Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings These are a few of my favorite things! Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eye lashes Silver white winters that melt into spring These are a few of my favorite things! When the dog bites, when the bee stings When I'm feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things and then I don't feel so bad! Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things! When the dog bites, when the bee stings When I'm feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things and then I don't feel so bad!" Angel then took a risk and kissed Collins. 70s
Bump because I haven't gotten any real comments on this yet and I dunno, I don't know if I want to lay the foundation for this if no one's interested. It will require a lot of work on my part and I already have some other projects that are waiting.
