  1. HOW DOES IT KEEP GETTING WORSE http://channelawesome.com/our-response/

Wow I can’t believe it.  They managed to top “we’re sorry you felt that way” in terms of half-assed statements.  This is disgusting levels of awful.

  2. “Nice For What” is the best single Drake has done in years.  A lot of it has to do with that awesome sample but kudos to Drake for working off it very well too.

  3. Rewatching all these DCU films for my upcoming review project and Suicide Squad is like ten times worse than I remembered it to be.

Just saw the statement from Channel Awesome and this one line stood out to me when they addressed the stories of their past creators:

”We sincerely regret you felt that way”

Yeah way to fail at apologizing.

  6. can we all take a moment to appreciate Future's verse on King's Dead

  7. So apparently Channel Awesome has come under fire for their terrible upper management as multiple former creators like Lindsay Ellis, Linkara, and Obscurus Lupa are all speaking out about how they’ve been treated.  Some of these claims include: awful communication leading to major problems, the sexism of Mike Michaud (the least known of the three CEOs of the company) towards female creators on the site, Doug's and Rob's seemingly pathetic response to all problems being brought up, and the brother's colossal egos.

Well if the downfall of Nostalgia Critic quality didn’t speak volumes as to the decline of Channel Awesome, this sure as hell does.

And now Todd is no longer affiliated with Channel Awesome saying that the stories that have been posted about the site are true.

“So, while I can understand why you'd feel that it'd be in bad taste, to me it just comes off as bad timing, given how long they needed to prepare for this review.”

Bad timing?  That’s practically the same thing.  He could have just edited out the useless introduction so the bad taste/timing/joke/etc. would avoid the controversy entirely.

Your defense of this is not changing my stance on how Doug Walker’s ego is ruining the Nostalgia Critic and is now ruining his site’s success and image to go along with the story and claims listed above.

      Gladly:

      1. His review of 2017 IT.  It had nothing to do with the movie itself since it was a beginning introduction that had nothing to do in context with the rest of the review.  It involved Hyper Fan Girl talking to a crowd then all of a sudden after some booing and disagreement she pulls out a gun killing them all.  What that had to do in context with the movie?  Nothing.

      2. The best example was at the end of Freddy vs Jason when he thought of Michael Bay and Zack Snyder for a team up movie and implied in the montage for it that they might like men.

      3. Granted he’s stopped that now, but you can look back at his early reviews as his best example when he threw around that word willy nilly.

Yeah Wumbo, it’s coming out publicly...on Twitter.  Lupa has been talking about it on there for multiple weeks now and then I saw Linkara speak out about it too as the reason he left the channel.  More and more former creators are speaking up too.  The thing that doesn’t surprise me the most is the egoism of the Walkers.  Doug especially comes off as egotistical because that’s what his last few years of reviews have become.  I’ll never forget him saying feminists only like Mad Max: Fury Road because Tom Hardy is cute and the movie is a roadrunner cartoon.  That’s insulting to my intelligence.

Yeah Ren, Doug is a nice fellow.  The guy who posted a mass shooting joke in his review days after the Las Vegas shooting, has repeatedly made jokes implying certain directors are gay, and has used the word “retarded” as derogatory, all of these instances for the sake of comedy sure is a nice guy.  The charity shoutout at the end of his videos doesn’t mean he is a nice guy in real life.

  12. I've been critical of practically all of Taylor Swift's singles from reputation, but her latest one is honestly excellent and I hope it blows up on the charts:

  13. The Top 3 on the rock charts has been completely stationary since November until this week.

...where one Imagine Dragons song just got replaced with another.

  14. So I just realized that AJR have a number one song on the Alternative chart.

Why are alt stations putting "Sober Up" in heavy rotation? ...Just why?

Can’t really say that I care enough to listen to AJR’s entire discography to find songs “worse” than this.

But yeah this song is too stupid for me to hate.  If it makes me laugh at how absurd it is, then I can’t hate it that much.  That being said, it’s refreshing to see this at the top over anything by Imagine Dragons.

  19. Unpopular Opinion: I don't like this new Bruno Mars. It just sounds like he's trying to sound like Uptown Funk, which was a mediocre song in the first place.

I respect your opinion even though I absolutely disagree, but I would definitely like an explanation for why you find Uptown Funk mediocre.

  21. Don’t know how many of you heard it, but dear god Fergie’s performance of the National Anthem for the NBA All-Star game was ear bleeding bad.  I couldn’t even tell you what else is happening during this game right now.  I can’t take my mind off of what the hell she was thinking with that rendition.

Yeah I saw Kimmel’s reaction too. My favorite reaction was Draymond Green who tried to look serious but then just busted out laughing.  I would have too after Fergie tried belting out that high note from out of nowhere.

I wouldn’t consider “Look What You Made Me Do” ambitious at all, but that’s just me.

Mostly agree yet somewhat disagree about the lyrics.  I’m forgiving to some like I think he makes “haters gonna say it’s fake” which is definitely a lame line sound cool as hell.  But yeah I can’t defend “whatcha gonna do with all that meat” and the out of nowhere “Gin and Juice” reference.  The lyrics have always been the weakest part of the song to me.

I love SexyBack and always have despite its problems, so I guess that’s why I’m more than willing to forgive a failed attempt at trying to replicate it.  But hey, I know my opinion is different than the consensus so I’m glad to listen to other viewpoints.

Unpopular opinion, I think it’s a decent song.  It took awhile for me to get it because I was initially disappointed.  But everything started to click for me after repeated listens.  It’s still definitely a poor man’s SexyBack.  That of my initial thoughts still stands true.  But it’s at least different than anything on the radio now.  I’ll gladly take JT doing weird electro-funk over the lifeless pop music we’ve been getting as of late.

But I won’t stand up for the rest of the album though, which is definitely JT’s worst.  Like the intentions are there with JT trying to explore his new sound, but it comes out a hot mess.  I don’t know how to say it, but JT has the sound down for a lot of the Americana direction he’s taking, but he is definitely missing the soul.  I’ll just end this with there are much worse songs on that album than Filthy.

  25. People on this site have said a lot about the quality of Maroon 5 in the 2010s, myself included.  They have released a lot of bland hollow, often bad music.  But good lord, their latest single isn’t even interesting in the slightest bit.  I’m all but sure that a computer processed this entire song and forced it onto the listening public.  And unlike some of their other bad singles, there isn’t a minor element that makes it stand out.  What a limp lifeless piece of dog crap.

    1. Clappy

      Clappy

The end of the video does confirm that Adam Levine is CGI now.  Only adding fuel to the fire of current Maroon 5 songs being created by a computer program and not an actual band.
