Jane
I know this film has had a very troubled production, and while I'm very disappointed that Genndy got thrown out, I'm very optimistic about it again. http://deadline.com/2016/01/sony-animation-popeye-brings-in-t-j-fixman-to-write-1201688083/ I really, really love Ratchet & Clank so now I'm looking forward to seeing it again. I just hope it stays faithful to Popeye. I do have one minor complaint with the article specifically though. TJ only wrote the PS3 games/the upcoming Ps4 one. illiniguy34
I am still eagerly anticipating it since Popeye hasn't gotten anything in a long time.
BoJack Horseman
Wasn't this film canceled a year ago?

I think the test footage was released about a year ago. Unless Genndy is still attached to direct I really couldn't care less about this.

This was right after the Sony hack and they had a screening of the animatic for the movie. So it looks like it was about to go into production.
