Season 1

Episode 1: Let Us Begin, Shall We? (Pilot)

Welcome to Bikini Bottom

Population: 4

ThatÔÇÖs what the sign said. Four survivors left in what was once a thriving town. No one has any recollections of what couldÔÇÖve brought about this post-apocalyptic scenario for the poor town, but these four have a pretty good idea.

A bus pulled up to a desolate station that was outside of what was once the Krusty Krab, but is now nothing more than an empty space, a few planks here and there, a couple hundred dollars buried so far into the ground that not even Mr. Krabs took the time to save it. A man, yes, a man, stepped off the bus and approached the empty space. Bending down, he ran his fingers through the sand, and then continued onward.

Sandys tree dome. What was once home to the greatest scientific mind under the sea is now cracked, and broken. The man placed his hand on the plexy-glass dome and smiled. He turned his attention to the door, which was now completely ripped up, leaving just a hole for an entrance. Sandy had once placed a couple planks in front of it to keep robbers out, but it didnt work. The man walked up to the still giant oak tree, and questioned how it was still growing underwater, if It had no air to survive. This confirmed the mans suspicion, which brought a great deal of delight to his face. Walking through the tree, he noticed how intricate it was, and built by a squirrel no less, he knew the humans were far behind in scientific advances compared to Sandy alone. The top floor held no light, nor any furniture or decorations of any sort. Flicking the light switch on revealed to the man that no one had lived here for years. Decades even. Or thats what Sandy wanted people to think. The man was smart enough to know Sandy was one of the four left, no way would the greatest scientific mind in the world be bested by this. The man picked up a lone book on the floor and watched as the leaves fell off the tree, revealing a secret passageway that Spongebob and Patrick had not even seen. When he reached the end of the passageway, the man was in the greatest lab of all time, in the worse shape of all time. He saw a figure in the corner rocking back and forth in fetal position. As the man got closer to the figure, he could hear Gotta go back have to go back why why

After the man left Sandys tree dome, he headed for the nearest Easter Island head. AKA, Squidwards house. Well, if you could even call it a house, that is. To the naked eye, it was completely intact, as Squidward tried his hardest to keep it rebuilt. But the man was smarter than that. Upon closer inspection, he realized itd come crashing down with a simple tap. Prompting the man to, well, tap it. And just like that, Squidwards house came down. In the middle of the rubble, was a lone rocking chair. Rocking, back and forth. Of course, it wasnt rocking by itself, someone was in it. As the man got closer, he could hear Gotta go back have to go back why why It was the same as the figure in Sandys tree house. Perhaps there was a connection?

Bikini BottomÔÇÖs famed rock shelter, home to Patrick Star, was no more. It was completely ripped up from the ground. As the man approached the desolate hole, he could make some stuff out. A tv, a chair, a box of half eaten donuts, and someone sitting in the chair, flipping through the channels of the tv. As the man got closer, he could hear the faint sound of static with every flip. Whoever was sitting in the chair, obviously cared very little for what he or she was watching, as they werenÔÇÖt even watching anything. The light from the tv was shining on the figure, this time, the man could clearly make it out. It was Mr. Krabs. The man was not shocked in the least, and he had questions for Mr. Krabs that could only be answered by him. The man hopped down into the hole and stood in front of the tv, making Mr. Krabs hiss at him.

ÔÇ£DonÔÇÖt worry; IÔÇÖm not here to hurt you.ÔÇØ The man assured Mr. Krabs.

Yea right, thats what they all said Thats what he said. Thats what they said Mr. Krabs tried to hold back his tears, but to no avail. He released a single tear from either eye, then hopped up from the chair and tried to chase the man away.

I didnt want it to come to this But The man said this under his breath, he didnt want to upset Mr. Krabs anymore than he already was. He took out a special sheep prod and stuck it in Mr. Krabs left hip, paralyzing him for the time being.

The man walked into Bikini BottomÔÇÖs famous pineapple; SpongebobÔÇÖs house. Of course, after this many years, it has wilted, and was no longer famous. Nematodes had been feeding off it, so it was but a shell of what it once was. The man took his time walking through this house, taking the utmost care to make sure he didnÔÇÖt disturb anything. He walked into the kitchen, and noticed someone eating out of GaryÔÇÖs food bowl. Of course, it was none other than SpongebobÔÇÖs faithful companion, Gary. Had he learned to feed himself? No matter, the man thought, itÔÇÖs time to get some answers. Walking over to Gary, the man wondered if anyone would cooperate, with him being a human and all, but he figured this was no time to question that, and instead, he calmly grabbed Gary. Being in this old age, Gary learned to go with the flow on many things, and had decided not to resist the man as he took him away, which was odd, even for Gary, though the man had no complaints.

ÔÇ£TheyÔÇÖre all here. Take us up.ÔÇØ The man said into a walkie-talkie like device. Within moments, Bikini Bottom had suddenly gone from four to zero, as its last four survivors had been beamed to the surface, along with the man.

ÔÇ£Now that youÔÇÖre all here, we have many questions for you. But donÔÇÖt worry, we wonÔÇÖt hurt you. Bear in mind, you donÔÇÖt have to answer anything if you donÔÇÖt want to, or it makes you uncomfortable, and if thatÔÇÖs the case, weÔÇÖll send you straight back to your home in Bikini Bottom. However, if you would like to get to the bottom of this, and set things straight, I recommend you follow the leader and hop down the rabbit hole. What do you say?ÔÇØ The man told Bikini BottomÔÇÖs four survivors.

Episode 2: In This Time, ItÔÇÖs Personal

Welcome to Bikini Bottom

Population: 57,205

ThatÔÇÖs what the sign said, fifty seven-two hundred five citizens; a very bustling city, to say the least.

Zshu!

The sound of a hoverboat from above, zipping by is being driven by none other than SpongeBob SquarePants. Sure, it took him 5,295,205,296 tries to get his license, but hey; he got it. He was headed to The Krusty Krab, which was now under his management, after the odd disappearance of Mr. Krabs. Squidward didnÔÇÖt have the commitment to be manager of the now 5-star restaurant, so SpongeBob took the wheel and itÔÇÖs now the success that it is.

Klickikakacik

The sound of a Wire-board zooming by on a railway. Where to? Who knows; itÔÇÖs piloted by Patrick Star, it could go anywhere.

As SpongeBob approaches the Krusty Krab, he feels as though thereÔÇÖs a disturbance. Somewhere, in sometime. Not now, but in the past. Or the future. HeÔÇÖs not sure how he knows this, but he feels it in his gut. When SpongeBob turns the key to the Krusty Krab; a rift appears where the door normally is. Does he go through? Of course.

LetÔÇÖs take a step back; to the beginning of this.

Present day.

ÔÇ£Look Mr Krabs, I organized the mops by size!ÔÇØ SpongeBob said, eagerly to his boss.

ÔÇ£I ainÔÇÖt paying yer to line-up mops, boy! Get back to work!ÔÇØ Mr. Krabs was rather irate at this time of year; usually because customers stop coming in, as school preoccupies childrenÔÇÖs time, and adults are just always busy.

A customer stepped into the near-desolate fast food restaurant, but did not step up to the boat. Instead, he just casually walked around. Neither SpongeBob nor Squidward had seen this customer before, which was odd, as Bikini Bottom is, as Squidward puts it, in the middle of scenic nowhere. No one would take leave here; much less go to a rundown, second-rate, fast food restaurant. The customer looked around; locked eyes with SpongeBob; and walked over toward him. He grabbed a card from his pocket, handed it to him, and then walked away.

Horacio James Angler: Quantum Physicist

You are the manipulated living. I am the manipulated dead.

ThatÔÇÖs what the card read. What it meant; SpongeBob hadnÔÇÖt the slightest idea.

After closing time, SpongeBob decided to go see what this ÔÇ£Horacio James AnglerÔÇØ wanted. Though, he had no idea where his office was.

ÔÇ£HORACIO JAMES ANGLERÔÇÖS OFFICE: WE CAN MANIPULATE YOU TO FREE YOU FROM TIMEÔÇØ Flashed in front of him in big, green, neon letters. They were precariously placed on top of the office building, so that it gave the illusion it was going to collapse at any minute, even though in actuality, it was quite stable.

SpongeBob approached the front desk, ÔÇ£Horacio J-ÔÇ£before he could finish his sentence, he was catapulted through the air, up to the top floor, smackdab in HoracioÔÇs room.

Hello, SpongeBob Horacio said, staring out his window.

You Um Wanted to see me, I take it? SpongeBob was at a loss for words at the moment, hes never been in a situation like this before.

ÔÇ£Yes, I did. Did you read my card?ÔÇØ Horacio slowly removed his face, to SpongeBobÔÇÖs shock.

Um Yes

Horacio turned to SpongeBob, now bearing the face of a skeleton, ÔÇ£Do you know what manipulated dead and living are?ÔÇØ

SpongeBob shook his head

Horacio laughed, I thought so he took out a book on time travel and opened it to Chapter 4; Manipulation beyond the Afterlife, and handed it to SpongeBob. A manipulated dead is someone who exists in a universe, dies in one way or another, then reappears in a tangible universe. A manipulated living is someone who is controlled, per say, by the manipulated dead. They must do various tasks in order to prevent the tangible universe from being completed. If that were to happen; a time paradox would ensue, and the universe would collapse in on itself. 

SpongeBobÔÇÖs head spun, what does this mean? Are we in a tangible universe? What caused it? How do we stop it? He thought to himself. So many questions, so little time.

Lightning flashed.

ÔÇ£I assume you have many questions,ÔÇØ Horacio smiled, ÔÇ£donÔÇÖt worry; all will be right, soon.ÔÇØ He directed SpongeBob out of his office, ÔÇ£Read that book, SpongeBob. Visit me when youÔÇÖre finished with it,ÔÇØ he pushed SpongeBob out in the hall, and then slammed his door.

Chapter 1; Tangible Universe

- We are all linked to snake-like ooze jutting from our body. It tells us where to go; what to do; how to act. We cannot stray from this path, as we cannot see this ooze. If one could see it, then one could change the course of the universe; resulting in a tangible universe. A tangible universe will occur once someone or something has disrupted its natural pattern, this is why we cannot see the ooze; we would be too tempted to create a tangible universe, by accident. We would want to see what would happen if we were to take the left road instead of the right. A tangible universe is like a fork in the road; itÔÇÖs separate from the real universe. If we were to enter such a universe, the course of time and space would be thrown all over the place, eventually resulting in the universe collapsing. -

Oh, Donnie Darko, how inspirational you are.

This was so not worth the almost three month wait.

The man bears a name tag. Horacio. As the four stare at the name tag blankly, they all remember the awful memories that names brings along with it. Horacio paces around the dim-lit room multiple times, feeling the eyes of the survivors follow his every movement. He stops. Taking a deep breath, he begins questioning. Handing them each a piece of paper with the exact same questions on them and a pencil to answer them with; he hands Gary a helmet that translates his thoughts onto the page in English.

Horacio enters the room and collects the papers, then shuts the door behind him. After reading them over carefully, he whispers something to two other scientists who go inside the room.

Population of Bikini Bottom: 3

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SpongeBob steps through the door to the Krusty Krab, only to be immediately transported away from Bikini Bottom. But not away. He appears overhead of Bikini Bottom exactly two months, fifteen days, six hours and eight minutes into the future. Peering down, he witnesses the destruction of his beloved city. He witnesses the destruction of his house. Of his job. Of him.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Flipping through the pages of the book Horacio gave him, SpongeBob begins to think this isnÔÇÖt for real. He tosses the book aside and goes to sleep for the night, thinking about how silly this all is. He begins to dream about the future. About how perfect it could be. HeÔÇÖs very successful, and now co-runs the Krusty Krab with Squidward after Mr. Krabs retires wealthy. Going to work, he notices Patrick zipping by on a peculiar board attached to some metal pole that seems to zig and zag throughout the entire city, as a mode of transportation. Of course, there are hover-boats; however, he still does not have his license, so SpongeBob opts to walk to work still. Stepping through the door of the Krusty Krab, he sees another future. One that is exactly two months, fifteen days, six hours and eight minutes from that moment in his dream. He witnesses destruction. After Bikini Bottom is left in ruins, SpongeBob wakes with a start, and looks around his room to make sure everything is still in tack. Bed, diving board, alarm clock, treasure chest, Gary. All there.

Knock-knock

SpongeBob hesitantly gets out of bed and creeps downstairs, as to not wake his sleeping mollusk.

Knock-knock

SpongeBob begins to pick his pace up and head towards the door so whoever is there will leave him alone at this hour. He turns the door handle and pushes the door open.

No one. Instead, a card.

ÔÇ£Dear SpongeBob, I assume you have had the dream. No worries, everyone I encounter has that. You should be worrying if you didnÔÇÖt have it. Nevertheless, I recommend you stop by my office. I have a chore for you to do that could help prevent what you saw from becoming reality.

-Yours, HoracioÔÇØ
