Part 2 of Spongey Patties is delayed until tomorrow, possibly until Friday, because of my hectic schedule.

Once I watched spongebob (when I didn't know about it) and I thought SpongeBob was a cheeseman and his parents looked like cookies
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
That's what I thought at first! I had to watch several episodes before I stopped thinking that SpongeBob was a walking and talking knob of cheddar cheese.
Speaking of which, I wouldn't be surprised if SpongeBob's parents were indeed based upon cookies - they have a shocking resemblance.

SEASON ONE
Episode 2a. Spongey Patties (part 1)
is out now!
Part 1 of Spongey Patties focuses on how SpongeBob's creative style of cooking ends up in a confrontation with Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob ends up forming his own restaurant chain. Plankton, however, sees this as another secret formula to steal, and soon hatches a plan that will ruin the Krusty Krab forever...

- Thanks to Christmas Milkmaid for Liking the first episode of the series, 'Patrick'
- I have to confess that this episode and the next few episodes will appear to have a thin plot and will probably be disliked by some. This is because I'm trying to use the first 3 episodes or so of Season One to paint the picture for next week's episodes, which will be much better and contain a far more complex plot, I assure you.

SEASON ONE
Episode 2a. Spongey Patties (part 1)
"SpongeBob, Squidward, will you come into me office for a minute?" asked Mr. Krabs, owner and proprietor of the Krusty Krab restaurant.
"Aye, aye, captain!" replied SpongeBob. He placed his spatula to the side of the sizzling batch of Krabby Patties he was cooking and entered the room marked 'OFFICE' through the communicating door. Mr. Krabs did not look happy.
"What is the meaning of this?" he barked, holding up a freshly cooked Krabby Patty and gesturing wildly in its direction.
"But sir, it's just an ordinary Krabby Patty!" said SpongeBob, a confused expression on his face.
"With four pickles, premium peeled buns, fresh cheese, newly-made patty batter, and decorative seaweed dressing! Do you have any idea how large the bill for these items is, boyo? Well, I'll tell you: it's $5 more than last year!"
"Oh, boohoo." commented Squidward, finally raising his head from the copy of Dance Quarterly he was perusing in the back corner. "What on Earth will we do without five dollars? It's a catastrophe! Someone call Damage Control!"
"That's exactly what I mean, Mr. Squidward - this can't go on. Look, lad, you've got to stop making these patties!"
"The customers say they look fancy and taste delicious...please, Mr. Krabs?"
"It's fancy, he says! It's delicious, he says! I'll tell you what it is - IT'S LOSING MONEY!"
A tear welled up in SpongeBob's eye. "Well, fine then. I'll make my own restaurant!" he announced, running out of the Krusty Krab.
*****
"So, that infernal sponge has gone solo, eh?" noted Plankton, staring out of his larger-than-life telescope at SpongeBob's pineapple, which was adorned with banners marked with 'Spongey Patties - ON SALE HERE!'
Customers were literally queuing for miles around for the new Spongey Patties, and they made so much money that Patrick was forced to stuff his entire rock-house with Bikini Bottom banknotes. Plankton stepped away from the telescope.
"This is marvellous! Now that Krabs has no fry cook, the Krusty Krab will be forced out of business once and for all!" he proclaimed, rubbing his tiny hands together.
"It's not as marvellous as you think, Sheldon." pointed out Karen. "Don't you realise that this means all your attempts to steal the formula are worthless?"
"Quiet, my computer wife!" commanded her husband. "This means that all my attempts to steal the formula are worthless! Why, the little..."
He stopped himself. "But if I could steal this new formula, people would flock to the Chum Bucket from miles around! That's it, Karen! I'll steal this new formula and the Chum Bucket will FINALLY be successful. MWA HA HA!"
The seed of a plan began to form in his mind.
Adventures in the Chum Bucket will return on Wednesday with episode 2b
Any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe it some "sponge genetic" or something since SpongeGar, SpongeBuck, Sherm, and Stanely are all square as well.
That's true - and furthermore, they're all yellow, too. Maybe the "yellow square" genetic skipped a generation...

"I love Kara-tay"
"I love Mon-ay!"
"I hate all of you."
That's one of my favourite pieces of SpongeBob dialogue. I thought this episode was fun to watch and had a good plot. 9.5/10

It always tripped me out as a kid how they're round and SpongeBob's square.
I know, right? That's what I said on another topic. I keep wondering how they look so different and yet they're apparently related.

I lol'd at the Squidward picture. Why does he have a nasty patty hanging around there? In case he needs to do a dark deed?
Probably. You never know when a "fake" health inspector will come by surprise!

I'm astonished actually that there hasn't been an episode with Pearl in Boating School before - in "Whale of a Birthday", SpongeBob buys her a boat..surely she's going to need to learn to actually drive it at some point!Maybe Pearl can go to Boating School, I mean she's been sixteen for years now.
Whilst I'm on the subject, I think we need more SpongeBob characters in Boating School. Apart from rare 'guest appearances' most major characters never appear in Boating School - they just insert random Bikini Bottomites, which makes it unrealistic because it's not just minor characters that need a license to drive a boat! Boating School basically seems to serve as an undeveloped background location for episodes focusing on Mrs. Puff and SpongeBob, in my opinion. Shame, really.

To me, Mr. Krabs was a lot more greedy in post-movie. Examples:
SpongeBob, You're Fired!- Firing SB over a f**king nickel.
The Krabby Kronicle- Overworking SpongeBob until he finally snaps, and from then on making counterfeit money.
Penny Foolish- No explanation necessary.
Precisely my opinion. The writers need to think about altering Mr Krabs' character from the way he appeared in those episodes.

I agree with you, ChillBob, that he does far more greedy things post-movie. I mean, in "SpongeBob, You're Fired" he fires SpongeBob over a nickel. Given that SpongeBob's cooking comprises the Krusty Krab's entire income, I think he's definitely got greedier post-movie.
Also, two words: Penny Foolish.

Looks like Adventures in the Chum Bucket didn't even make #25 this week, which isn't surprising since it only came out today. Oh well.
Congratulations to everyone!

I love this! It's such an original idea...I wish I'd thought of it.

I think this is a really cool spinoff. I'm working my way through the earlier episodes.
