  2. Happy Octerror Fest! In preparation for this year's celebration, every Saturday during the event we'll be watching three spooky Halloween movies! What are they, you ask?

October 12 - Cry Baby Lane (the first movie ever shown at an SBC event, way back in 2011!)

    October 19 - ???

    October 26 - ???

That's right, those last two nights are up for you to decide!  You'll have the opportunity to suggest a movie, TV episode, or really anything scary-themed for SBC to watch. Here's how it'll go:

-Down below, post the name of a movie, TV episode, or really anything Halloween-themed enough you'd like to watch at some point during the event. You only get one pick, so choose wisely.

-At the end of the day on Tuesday, October 8,  submissions will close and a poll will be made with everything suggested over the days. You'll vote on what you want to see until that Friday. The top two most voted will be our winners and get assigned a night.

So, it's time to get naming! Make sure your submission is scary, spooky, or Halloween-themed, or otherwise justifiable enough for it to be considered one of those three. Have fun!

    Oh jeez haha

It's kind of interesting people here still bring up my old "antics" when I completely forgot about all that until a month ago lol

I mean they’re pretty funny looking back so I guess they’d get brought up again eventually. We do like reminiscing a lot.

  5. I have no doubts that Spidey no longer takes his vacations underwater. Based on the pink one's reaction here spending your 3 days of unpaid vacation time in Bikini Bottom seems like a life of hell for arachnids like him. If you ask me he's almost certainly dead by now. He'd have to spend his days hiding from the natives, being seen as nothing but a useless pest, getting hunted down and almost smashed into amorphous blobs. But why take such a perilous holiday like this? Maybe it raised his Halloween spirits? Maybe he only wanted to feel the thrill of hiding in plain sight, just like Gloria had during Fridays with that bitch Martha? I only wish I could talk to Spidey right now. Give him a big old spider hug. Give him some flies to eat. I guess we'll never truly understand him.

Hey guys. Yeah, it’s been a while. But that’s only because I’ve been back in the hospital this whole time. My little rabbit adventure in April, well uhh, didn’t go so well.

    image1.jpg

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

But now, my studies have taken me to the mysterious waters of Hong Kong, where I've discovered a new species! Isn't that right, Squidmando?

I hope you choke on your own vomit, Dan.

Observe: The Chan Fish in all its glory. Master of kung fu, and also one hell of a movie star! Let me tell you though, his movies are shiiit. Rush Hour 3 has to be the worst thing I’ve ever seen since Forbidden Ki-

    I hear you, Daniel.

Wait what the fuck it speaks English?

You bet I do. But I don't like it when people trash-talk my films in English. They don't tend to live very long afterward.

I uhh didn't mean it like that buddy! I loved your show!

Too late for that now, Mr. Devilfish. I have a bounty to collect.

  7. Snowball Effect is an episode that runs beautifully right from the get go. Not only is the opening scenic and creative, it’s also very enjoyable. I love those brief shots of Bikini Bottom draped in snow, and the reactions and activities of the characters, like Mr. Krabs building a dollar sculpture, Plankton getting crushed by the flakes, and even Patrick making a “snow angel.” The fight between SpongeBob and Patrick is glorious, especially the rapid-fire scene. Seeing the snowballs all go into Patrick’s mouth in slo-mo has to be one of the greatest jokes in series history. The episode diversified pretty well once Squidward enters the fray, too. I adore his general inexperience with fighting as SpongeBob and Patrick keep tearing him down with a wall of snow. His little rush of excitement from hitting SpongeBob is also pretty sweet, and it’s pretty scary to see how quickly morphs into complete paranoia and self-gratification. Funny how easily SpongeBob and Patrick are able to slip away while Squidward mutters about “the possibility of an aerial attack.” It's an amazingly action-packed, classic, SpongeBob-Patrick-Squidward laugh fest. I love the passion and the competition all three show here and it makes for some legendary comedy. Placement well-deserved.

Algae has always been a favorite of mine mainly because the comedy is just completely on point. I love seeing Plankton’s struggle to adapt. It’s cool to see how his aggressiveness and introversion translates horribly to the climate of the Krusty Krab. SpongeBob and Squidward also have great roles here. It was hilarious to see them both struggle with their new positions, as brief as the scene was. “OH MY GOODNESS! SQUIDWARD!” “I SOILED THE GOOD KRUSTY KRAB NAME!” SpongeBob in particular has to be my favorite character here. I laugh at how overly exaggerated his personality is in the alternate world, his fierce obedience to the restaurant and its rules, and his constant seeking of Plankton’s approval. Mr. Krabs, however, is completely awesome. Funny how Plankton fits into Mr. Krabs’ life so horribly, but Mr. Krabs fits into Plankton’s life perfectly. His schemes and tricks become so much funnier when a giant naked crab is doing them all. Plankton’s quote of “GOOD GRIEF, HE’S NAKED!” says everything. The ending is also very sweet. I love Plankton’s newfound appreciation for his old life. A great opener to my favorite season of the show, as well as a nice entry into the top 25.

  8. Patty Hype is insanely quotable. I'm not sure how much of an influence Pride Patties has had over that, but come on, look at these:

"What is the theme here? Underwater?"

"It's not tainted meat, it's painted meat!"

    "I can't see my forehead."

"Sometimes, we have to go deep inside ourselves to solve our problems."

    "Uhh... I dunno."

"Look what I got under me kilt!"

There's also some great moments with SpongeBob taking ownership of the Krusty Krab, and Patrick throughout the whole episode, really. I'm glad to see this has made the list after so long.

I wish I remembered It's a SpongeBob Christmas enough to talk about it. Next.

Looks like Plankton's Army is like another Glitters or Waiting that we saw on my list. I'm still glad it's managed to defend its turf though, because this really is a great episode. Plankton's plan here feels like a final culmination of everything he's done, and he's even motivated by his past failures. The hillbilly cousins are all a ton of fun and I love their contrast with their superintelligent cousin. Maybe this episode will get another boost in popularity someday but we'll see.

One Krabs' Trash is the first to make my list. I really can't think of a better opening than him selling literal trash to unsuspecting people, complete with a shitty made-up story for each one. His vain struggles to try and reclaim that hat are some of the funniest moments of the whole show. I enjoy how he starts off simple with "That hat makes you look like a girl." all the way up to robbing a damn grave. The cemetery fight sequence makes for a great ending too. I love the mental picture of Krabs cutting down thousands of skeletons only for it to be for nothing.
