A new, superhero themed event, [[July of Justice]], began on July 10, 2017, and ended on July 31, 2017, which the Villains won. sbl became a new [[SpongeCraft]] operator on July 9th, 2017. Photobucket (a well known free image hosting site) required users to start paying money to hotlink (link the image somewhere else). Many of SBC's various threads included photos uploaded via Photobucket, and they were all replaced with a message asking users to upgrade their account. As a result of this, MDPP made a new part of the site asking [[Loyal Customers|LCs]] and other members to re-upload Photobucket pictures to other image sharing services, and all images were restored. SBC's 8th anniversary was celebrated on August 15th, 2017, and [[Squid 12]] launched with a party dubbed the "[[Clarinet Recital]]." A new forum event to mark the end of Summer known as the [[Jellyfish Festival]] began on August 18th, 2017 and ended on September 4th, 2017, which [[Cream]] won.
