Arguably the ultimate "boogeyman" of SBC's early days, WhaleBlubber was originally an infamous member of TV.com's Spongebob forum. He made multiple accounts with undersea creature-based names and frequently insulted other users, resulting in him being repeatedly banned. In July 2009, it was claimed that fellow TV.com user [[Spongebobs1fan]] had been hacked by Whale, although the claim was never verified. Throughout 2010, Whale would escalate his aggression toward SBC in particular through a series of sock accounts on both the forums and Xat, causing several members to be banned along with him. He was alleged to have returned on February 6th, 2011 when he hacked the SBC [[xat]]. He then said next week he would hack SBC, and followed through with the threat on February 13th, 2011, he did, after which he would not be seen by the site again.
 
Well into 2011, several users impersonated WhaleBlubber, but the real one never returned. In July 2012, this would be confirmed when Whale told [[SpongeSebastian]] in an email that all of the Xat appearances were not in fact him, but a member trying to play on the other members' absolute fear of him.
