How to Protect Your Information

One of the biggest ways for your information and identity to get stolen is through the WiFi you use. If you use a WiFi that's not your own or a friend's, you risk yourself of getting identity theft. Even worse: if you don't do anything, your ISP (Internet service provider) can snoop on whatever you're doing. :l

Because of this, I've been using a program called DNSCrypt. The purpose of this program is to encrypt your DNS connections, the translation of a domain (google.com) to something your computer can understand, to where your ISP or anyone snooping can't find out what website you're on. This is great for when you're on Facebook, SBC, or even a bank account. B)

DNSCrypt is also great for college students. Because of its encryption, I'm able to get onto websites that other people cannot normally access. :D

You might also find that DNSCrypt speeds up your internet connection because it uses OpenDNS. :)

Anyways, if you want it, here are the download links:

Mac - Windows (still beta)
